Do you think that's all the X-men in the game? I hope we get Cyclops.

Cyclops was in the picture of the team, so maybe. But around 7-8 X-Men characters is honestly about what I was expecting, maybe a little more.

I’m gonna guess the final lineup will probably resemble the 90’s era.

Probabilities on getting Laura?

Maybe they'll do a teen heroes DLC pack down the line with X-23 and some other young Marvel characters.

I believe Cyclops will be in the game going by the portrait we saw in the trailer.

(Insert comment making fun of how nobody likes cyclops here)

I mean Cyclops (and Colossus) could be in the game, just not playable.

My brother is a big fan of Cyclops, and I admit, I want to see the guy have his day again.

I mean, among the many issues that the last film he was in had, making him look like more of a dick wasn't one of them.

In terms of which X-Men characters I'd like to see, off the top of my head I'm hoping for Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Vampire Mama Jubilee. And Gambit and Rogue, but those are more predictable choices.

I'd expect Cyclops, Colossus and Jean Grey to appear, in DLC if not the base game. I'm hoping for Apocalypse and Fantomex, personally, but I don't know how likely either are.

... Why do the X-Men deal with vampires so often again? I'm only a casual fan but I can name three different vampire stories regarding the X-Men.

Because you gotta do something besides fight other mutants and mutant haters.

Dracula is for when they want variety.

From what I see of Cyclops, he always has something unfortunate going on that keeps him from being as cool as his power, whether it's due to being boring, having a beef with Logan about Jean, or being super whiny.

The late 70s were a time when both the X-Men and horror comics became huge at Marvel, so in the early 80s Chris Claremont decided those were two great tastes that taste great together and had the X-Men fight Dracula. Things escalated from there.

Honestly, you'd think Logan could just cut his head off.

I mean, I guess it depends on if this Dracula can turn to smoke, and if the Silver weakness carries over (fiction goes back and forth on if it's a shared weakness of Vampires and Werewolves, or just a thing with the latter), but still I'd think Logan would be the ideal backup for fighting vampires.

Healing factor means he likely can't be turned, sharp senses to notice when he's fighting a corpse, and brings his own knives for beheading (or if it doesn't specifically have to be a wooden stake, stakes for heart shanking).

Now there's freaking vampires everywhere in the MCU. Mystical vampires. Science vampires. Gravelly voiced vampire hunters who are also vampires, that look good in trenchcoats... though we can keep that one.

I think they crossed the proverbial line of excess when Jubilee became a vampire for a while.

No, just that he's relatively new, having debuted in Hickman's Infinity event and hasn't appeared since the end of Lemire's run on Thanos at the end of 2017^note his run immediately precedes Cates'. Essentially, not a lot of material to work with.

He probably went and hooked up with Galacta, daughter of Galactus.

I honestly want Galacta to come back. She was a fun character.

I think the fact that she caters to certain, um, fetishes makes her unlikely to get into a Mainstream marvel product anytime soon.

Get your mind out of the gutter.

I like Galacta, but I also don't feel she needs to be important. She and her pappy have lived eons so maybe she's just having a slow millennium.
