The Ghost perched his new feathered body on a table near his squad and listened attentively as they planned out strategies. Or more accurately, pretended to listen. He was not a big fan of teamwork activities, but it was always nice to have a bunch of chumps doing the dirty work for you. Literally, in the case of Rebecca.
He watched as Mikael and Ash shared a spit-covered handshake. If storks could emote, he would have grimaced. Ew. That only ever looked cool and not nasty in movies. "These people keep getting freakier by the second", he thought, quite hypocritically. At the very least he was content that, as usual, not much attention was being paid to him. He figured that, as long as that bunch of misfits didn't get too in the way and let him do his own thing, there shouldn't be any problems.

Figure out what variables it relies on, even what events not happening that the plan relies on. It doesn't have to be your specialty, but when you're heroes, wearing the hats of peace officer, soldier, ambassador, advisor, officer, explore, and so many more, you'll want the skill. Even now, if you thoroughly understand an operation that you're a part of, then you can smoothly respond to unexpected opportunities or crises on the field. For now, you don't have to comment aloud. Just think about it."She folded her fan, using it to point around. "And there's more to do. All these people watching you, you don't just have to wait. If you want to get somewhere with any of these groups, get their attention now. Take someone to introduce you if you want. Dante...isn't Gaea the word that Signorina Bassano found when she scanned the werewolves with her magic? , he whispered into his ear.
Dante made a slow nod in return, with a solemn look on his face.

Then they reached up and gave Dawn's arm a comforting squeeze. "I'm nervous too, obviously, but look at it this way Dawn: If you're in doubt just tank hits for us. Absolutely no one can claim wrongdoing on your part if you taking hits for others when you're super-tough and they aren't, right?"

Noah just listens to everyone talk about all the things they can do for the group while he stays back and listens. There's not really much he can do to help anyone in the gang. Other than giving back pats and providing emotional support as far as he knows.

Well, what I can offer is a bit of defense if the need comes to it? He asked in his written word, looking about at his allies. I can't promise if anyone else is going to try and do the whole "stopping us from scoring", thing, but if I have to, I can offer defense.
A pause, before he continued. I can offer a lot of things on the fly, thinking about now. If we need anything drawn that no one here can provide, I'm absolutely here. Though, it looks like we have utility... He gestured to Sam and Ellie. Raw Strength... He gestured to Yoko and Ellie.
...Enthusiasm and optimism... He gestured to Yoko and Noah.
What I'm trying to say is, if we need something or if you guys need something, I'm capable of bringing it to you guys. We can do this if we just work together!

"Sounds like a plan to me Fluffy," Alex replied. "I'll fight the robots up close, and maybe using my cloning technique a bit to provide some extra support. I should probably be a little careful with that, though. It does make me twice as likely to get hurt by the robots... never really considered that until today."
They then remembered the whole Gaea thing Iona mentioned, and that one of the organizations present had the very same name.
"That is weird, but I guess we'll deal with that if it becomes an issue."

Perry nodded seriously and spoke up.
"Maybe there be secret test in the test. Like how much you help people, no matter if they on your squad or not," she said, eyeing the Gaea group suspiciously.
"Don't know why baddies Iona got told of are here," she complained.

"I can do some seriously heavy lifting and form a barrier from my body, if anyone wants to use that," Aster offered. "It doesn't hurt."
She looked at the Gaea group, but didn't say anything. She had been informed of what went down after the werewolf attack, and was a little bit on edge.
Avajax's low crooning of whalesong calmed her down somewhat.

The old man brinched the bridge of his nose, barely able to stay awake as he forced himself to listen to Fluffy's insipid questions. "It's self explanatory. They shoot you. With lasers. When they're not trying to punch you. But the lasers can only stun, and the robots aren't strong enough to do you any real harm. But if you do get stunned, it's really gonna sting. That said, I don't think it's the robots you should be worried about." He glanced at some of the other students. They mostly kept to themselves, but they occasionally glanced over at Fluffy and the others. And the eyes of some of those students were as cold as steel.
He took another gulp from his bottle, desperate to get this over with before he keeled over on the spot. "Right. Unless there's anyone else, everyone should be getting their asses into the arena. You can talk aboout any other bullshit between yourselves on the way. Fucking God."

Metallic armor sprouted from her flesh and snapped shut, a reddish glow coming from the helm's visor.

Provisional Hero License Exam Lobby - Felicity "Fluffy" Shepherd
Fluffy matched the cold glares with a warm and friendly gaze, their steely expressions with a soft smile, before giving all the competition a wave. "Hiiii~ Hope everyone does well~! Rooting for you~ Good luck, have fun~~!"
And with a hop and a skip Fluffy followed Perry into the arena, not letting the rival schools get to her sunny disposition. Her eyes did a once over around the soon to be battlefield, doing a quick assessment of the layout and noting the exits if, again, anything were to go wrong. Just treat it like any other sim in the training room, but be ready for anything, she thought to herself.

"'Porting me to the bots, huh? Yeah, I can work with that. It'll take a bit longer to gum up their works without an ammo stockpile, but only a bit. As for the other teams, I agree with Ash. We need to play this defensively."
Rebecca began to walk toward the arena.
"C'mon, let's get going before we lose our nerve."
She was more talking to herself with that statement than to any of her teammates, but true to her word, she led the way into said trial ground.
Licensing Exam Test Center - Iris - Squad 2
Iris had just smiled and nodded as Mahvash explained their strategy. It was a good plan, and she hadn't really had any additional information or ideas to contribute.
Dante had started acting a bit weird, but Iris was pretty sure she knew why that was. It was obvious to her that her roommate had a crush on Mahvash, and she hadn't missed the subtle flirting before he had gotten all flustered. Someone should probably get his attention back onto the task at hand before he got too distracted.
"C-Come on, everyone's starting to go in..."
Despite her words, Iris was reluctant to make the first move, and was clearly waiting for one of her teammates to lead the way.

Ash matched the other students' glares with her own look of absolute disinterest, before she sighed and turned back to the rest of her Squad—making sure to remove her gum from her mouth before she inevitably ended up choking on it and jutting her thumb towards the entrance to the arena.
“Alright, bozos. Let's get this over with. Kick ass for me, a'ight? An' if we #$&% up, screw it. We'll drown our sorrows over Winkleheimer The Third and argue about what went wrong. With the test and the saga. Christ...”

At the ‘enthusiasm and optimism’ comment from Zach, Yoko had flashed one of her now-signature grins with an accompanying peace sign, practically whooping for joy as the arenas opened up and promptly running over to scoop the squad in a group hug before they all poured in.
“This is gonna be fun! Don't worry guys! Stick together and we'll be fine~!”
Squeezing them all in a manner that would make a boa constrictor jealous, she proceeded to leap over her entire squad in order to rush the arena entrance; running on all fours for a short while before catching herself and pulling upright.

Let's go, everyone! Zach silently cheered as he punched up into the air as he tried to ignore the dull ache in his ribs from Yoko's dangerous amounts of affection. Cracking his knuckles, he bounded off as well.
I can do this. I can pass this. This is gonna be easy! Our Squad covers all the bases, we'd have to be crazy to fail! After all...what could go wrong?

While she gave Dante a nod, Mahvash still made a note of the obvious issue.She shook her head when the speaker ended his rant with a solid, "no thanks." The other students though, some of their eyes gave her a happy shiver. And the daeva returned the affection, meeting some of their cold eyes and licking her lips with a tongue far too large and winking before heading to the arena.

Dawn, Squad 4, Things Are Happening
She had to admit: the sheer apathy of the commanding official invited little trust. Still, the idea was simple enough on paper. Dawn wasn't sure about the whole "robot dodgeball" thing, especially about the teamwork part of it. Was the division into squads a common practice amongst hero academies and organizations? She thought it was just The Saint Foundation doing so.
Well, some of them grabbed their points, it was a matter of simply securing others' success. She didn't doubt that Iona's capability for environmental manipulation could help with that alone, but others had their own powers with which to turn the tables. Who knew, perhaps Dawn herself would be the last one of her team to actually secure her points? Then however their magician pointed out something distressing.
Absentmindedly, she offered Perry a gentle pat on the shoulder to reassure her, but her thoughts were somewhere else. "That can't be right..." She muttered, her face darkening slightly. Jack suggested keeping it down, but that wasn't right either. "Shouldn't we bring this to the attention? At worst, it'll turn out to be nothing but an unfortunate coincidence... and if they know we're here, I've a suspicion they might try to do something during the exam either way, and pin it down on us..."
Fluffy too suggested to keep it down while also offering a plan what to do, both for the exam and for the sudden but inevitable betrayal that could have occurred during it. "...right." It was obvious that Dawn would rather see the issue addressed right away, but it was not her place to argue when she was in the minority. "Help, not hurt". She had to drill that into her skull to make sure things would be good. "Help, not hurt."
...it wasn't going well so far - Dawn looked rather distracted, even as she wrapped an arm around Jack to hold them closely for support.
