We don't need to have any particular trope, but it can be useful. At the very least, I think it should be kept as an index, but I have no problems with how it is now or the name.
Keet cleanupExcept that this trope is supposedly "the original work was from video games and this derivative work is in anime". But it isn't being consistently applied because we have "video games adapted into live-action television" and "tabletop games adapted into animated films". I want to narrow it down to one specific part, and in this case that specific part is "what medium is the derivative in?"
Besides, which work are you indexing? The work that isn't a game or the work that isn't a derivative?

Again, which work are you indexing? The derivative or the original?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. The derivative, of course, along the same lines as Video Game Movies. The only problem is if there's no page for the derivative, but that can be remedied since There Is No Such Thing as Notability.
Resetting clock.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOkay, if we're indexing the derivatives, are we still counting Western Animation, Live-Action TV, Web Animation, and Web Video as Japanese cartoons, or will those folders be cut?

With the clock set, I'll repeat; I don't think we need to trope "the original work was from [medium]", and would prefer to merge/cut all such pages into "this derivative work is in [medium]".
