Well, I feel that it should be obvious as to how Trump's stance on immigration is. If it isn't...then I can't help you there.
But I feel that this thread is relevant because there's an caravan of immigrants who are travelling from Center and South America and I saw Trump freaking out on Twitter a while ago about them, saying that Congress needs to pass new laws NOW because he's scared that they might be criminals hiding amongst them. Fast forward to earlier, this morning, and I see the USMC putting up an barricade at an local (to me) boarder crossing. I was like,"What the fuck..." and then the newscaster mentioned that the caravan is arriving today. And it turned out that this isn't exclusive to California, for all of the border states had members of the National Guard, federal border agents who were stationed at the Canadian border, and active-duty members of the military to aid with what Trump is calling the immigration invasion.
Personally, I think Trump is overreacting here. I mean, the last time I checked, we weren't fighting an war down there. And who wouldn't travel to another country to find a better paying job and a country that actually has their shit together? I know that I would.
And I would have posted this sooner, but I've been busy lately. Plus, I wasn't actually sure that this would actually be an thing until now.
