Not seeing any difference.
I would also say that the definition of Blood-Splattered Warrior doesn't hold up as a trope either. It just says it's about a warrior drenched in blood. That's it. It doesn't say anything about what it means for the trope, only that it often means one thing, but doesn't necessarily. That's not how tropes work. That's the same as all those appearance tropes without meanings.
On the other hand, Blood Is the New Black is a terrible name for a trope. It's a snowclone that doesn't say what the trope is about. The first thing I think about when reading it is fashion. The decription is also kind of bad, but the definition is solid: using blood to mark a character as dangerous.
Check out my fanfiction!Should I bring them to TRS then?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza^ I would say you can make a good case for merging both tropes under Blood-Splattered Warrior.
I say go for it in the TRS.
How are Blood Is The New Black and Blood Splattered Warrior any different?
