Grunty looks like a stage hazard. Slime looks like an assist trophy, though.

Gruntilda looked like she was just going to be a stage hazard/background element to me. Dunno about the Slimes, though.

Slime's among the taunts, from what I hear.

Which is fitting. I'd imagine an AT might be something that's overall going to be a far more physical creature, instead of just using monster abilities. Like Wolflord, or even Dragon Lord himself. He'd make a kickass AT.

We haven't seen any AT's among DLC whatsoever, though, unfortunately.

IF they had any assist trophies, the only way I could see it working is just adding them to the base game rather than actually being part of the DLC.

I'm thinking there won't be Assist Trophies just because there were no Assist Trophies for Joker. That being said, if any of the DLC characters do come in on the base game next time, I wouldn't mind seeing Personas, Slimes, or that voodoo doctor guy as Assist Trophies.

I think Pancake Boy would've made a cool Persona Assist Trophy, seeing how the other thieves are in the game.

I know it was mentioned before, but I do hope that future trailers for DLC characters are animated instead of just showing in-game footage. I love seeing Smash Bros. trailer animation.

Can't wait for them to up the ante again with Doomguy, then bring it all to an end with the only real choice imaginable, Byleth.

If we don't get Darth Vader, Lebron James, and Bugs Bunny I'll be sorely disappointed

Two DLC characters left, yes? I'll throw out some non-specific predictions:

• Second-to-last: Gen 8 Pokemon OR FE: 3H character.
• Last: Complete curveball.

I really hope that neither of the remaining DLC fighters come from an already-represented franchise. While some of those franchises could bring a fighter who’s fun to play as, the stage, music, and spirits that come alongside them would struggle to stand apart from the ones already in the base game.

K. rool in Smash bros, Battle Toads, followed by Banjo and Kazooie in Smash Bros, talk about a great year for Rareware fans!

Battletoads wouldn't be bad Smash fighters themselves...

There is a chance around September that Banjo will come with some Minecraft stuff.

I think Banjo would come with either Banjo-Kazooie spirits or general Rare spirits, not Minecraft ones. That thing should only happen with Steve.

Of all the leakers there are much more trustworthy ones, and even then..

And yet he's been far more right about Smash than anyone else.

The only thing outdated at best is "when this guy is coming", and nothing else so far.

Tansut got something wrong too, which is that the Hero(who he appeared to have claimed was Erdrick as the main costume, but that wasn't clear, and he was given vague information of who the character was, so I don't consider that a knock to him in this context) would have male and female alts. While he got Erdrick wrong on a pure technicality, he entirely got the alts thing wrong. He told us something that wasn't correct. His information was given poorly, but this still hurts his credibility. He isn't wrong about Erdrick alone, and he even said Luminary was an alt.

Meanwhile Verge has nothing left but Minecraft, and there's been a lot of speculation it's leakbait. So that might be why. That said, it's Minecraft. It having content is probably real anyway. Verge had no real straight information on what it was.

Of course, if he leaks more Smash stuff again, he might finally get something fully wrong.

...Technically everyone who said that the default character was Erdrick is right.

"Erdrick" is a title. One that the Luminary also gets.

I would love it if - like - every other DLC trailer continued to be an extension of the trolling theme.

Like, let's say one of the upcoming DL Cs is, I dunno, (for the sake of the joke) Dr. Eggman. This time DK, Diddy, K. Rool (with a bandaid on his head) and Banjo are chilling. The shadow looms, but turns out to be Bowser Jr. Then Eggman shows up and zaps Bowser Jr, and Sonic turns up and takes him out. And then the DK gang just go back to sleep.

I don't think they'd still use DK for that.

This only worked because of that Rare connection.

DK, Diddy and K.Rool cheering at Banjo was so pure.

x3 I'd personally prefer to see Eggman get in as a new boss encounter; switching between some of his machines from the classic Sonic games, each of which only taking a relatively small amount of damage before he changes to the next. Maybe starting out simple with the wrecking ball, moving on through a few other phases, before finally culminating with the Death Egg Robot.

This leak has Crash Bandicoot, therefore it's real and you can't tell me otherwise

Just wanted to post something because i believe this thread is going to be pretty much dead for the foreseeable future

Probably fake, but given that fourth character, I’d take it. :D

Just to humor it, I'm pretty sure anyone who was on the inside enough to know the last two characters would at least say Luminary instead of Erdrick.

Also Lloyd over Yuri probably wouldn't happen.
