The beach episode cleared up that Hass isn't secretly the split-faced woman or deathly ill—her mask is just a fashion statement.
And this week we learn that Rikka has a brother we haven't seen yet.
So I'm considering resubbing to Crunchyroll and this show looks cool. Can you tell me about it? Apparently it's related to Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, or maybe I've been lied to.
It homaged both Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad and Gridman (the japanese show the former was based on).
The SSSS in the title makes reference to Syber Squad. for instance. There are other examples, but I'll let other people explain that cause they can do it better.
One Strip! One Strip! On another note - Give Rikka Drago / Dyna Dragon to pilot. Please?
This show is self-aware and really starting to give us the traditional Gainax/Trigger weirdness. So then who’s Gridman himself in all this? Is he the original? Naoto? Sam Collins?

I like how after five episodes of the gang having not even the slightest suspicion or clue as to the source of Kaiju, this girl here comes and just tells Yuta everything. I did not expect that.
Akane is a vile little misanthrope but in normal circumstances she probably wouldn't be dangerous, but then comes Alexis and gives her power to play God, with predictably horrifying consequences.
So now the remaining big mysteries are Alexis motivation in all of this as well as Yuta's backstory and connection to all of this.
All in all, an interesting episode, despite the lack of Kaiju action.
The costumer who had the keyboard in hand while on the shop was voiced by Naoto's actor.
Alexis himself was standing on the rooftop instead of being inside a PC, think about that for a moment.

Seeing Andro Melos appearing in the magazine cover in ep 6 makes this doubly funny for me. I don't if anyone had posted this before, but as it turns out Akira Amemiya first approach Tsuburaya and proposed to them to make an Ultraman anime, but Tsuburaya tells him Ultraman characters are basically off-limit, but they tell him he can use Gridman or Andro Melos. Imagine if he had given the permission for an Ultraman anime or had chosen Andro Melos instead of Gridman, would love to see that
Yeah, but the only reason Ultraman was off limits was because Netflix called dibs.
Considering Amemiya already asked not long after the boys invent hero short which means before the Ultraman anime adaptation was announced, I don't think that had much bearing for it. And he was going to make an Ultraman-based original project, not one based on the manga. But yeah, it's a good thing he got Gridman, having two Ultraman series competing is not good for business.
Grid man is essentially Discount Ultra-Man though.
Sure, it's a Good discount Ultra-Man, but still...
What's Andro Melos?

One Strip! One Strip!A series that’s so obscure that the only thing I see it for is the rumor it was supposed to be used for Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills but Tsuburaya said no way.
Tsuburaya was directly involved with Syber Squad which is probably why the plot is virtually identical to Gridman, come to think of it.

Does that mean Gamagoori has Kaiju ancestry?
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! Also Anoshiras II a cute, she's the most adorable Kaiju girl I've seen in a bit.
Can't wait for them to release the OST with Yume No Hero in piano.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Oh man that Inferno Cop music got me good.
Ah, there's the weird, over-directed Gridman that I like. And instead of a kaiju battle we got action I actually enjoyed!
It occurs to me that the abscence of any sort of bacgrkound music in most scenes is almost definitely deliberate, as I expected.
Consider how emphasis is placed on Kailua girl giving Yuta her earbuds...
Things are probably going to start getting crazy next week. I love it.

Oh God! Natural light!"All in all, an interesting episode, despite the lack of Kaiju action."
And lampshaded in the episode, when Akane complains about episodes without a kaiju attack.
Buster Borr not having traction in its formal debut into action bothers me. Is it something to do with the setting or is there something about treads I don't know about.
With a "0", not an "O".Episode 6 (I'll just copy paste the comment from MAL poster because I'm lazy af):
Today was a quite revealing episode and of a calmer air, until the end.
Today Utsumi, Rikka and Yuuta had unexpected encounters and they were quite interesting.
Akane sends Anti to assassinate Yuuta, since her suspicions that he is Gridman are confirmed.
Yuuta meets a Hooded Kaiju girl, who invites him to a date, during this, she reveals to him that Akane is the one who creates the Kaijus and the victims of the attacks are people that Akane hated, also reveals that Akane is like the goddess of the city and destroys and rebuilds it to your liking, besides she is helped by someone more dangerous (Alexis)
Rikka meets Anti again, she seems to be worried about him since she sees him as a normal child. Each episode Studio Trigger tries to show the spectacular thighs of Rikka and is always welcome.
Utsumi has a chat with Akane, the boy discovers that Akane likes the Kaijus, also the girl starts questioning him about Yuuta, she was practically asking him to say that Yuuta was Gridman, but Utsumi resists.
Anti finds Yuuta and attacks him, but Calibur and Max defend him, finally Max reasons with the Kaiju boy and tells him that Yuuta is only a human and he flees with his mistress and this punishes him in the same way as always.
So to sum up: The episode has no action but Yuta learns some many revelations regarding what has happened thanks to the girl and meanwhile, Anti tries to kill Yuuta after he knew the latter's secret thanks to Akane. All according to this episode reveals I found in MAL forums:

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."That leak has been out since ep 3, together with the kaiju designs, so much for trying to not mention the leaks here.

The song that saved Anoshiras I and Yuta
Apparently either her kaiju scent is super strong or she needs a shower.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Well. We all saw this coming, but it was nice to get confirmation nonetheless.

Translation for this week's voice drama
https://barnnn.blogspot.com/2018/11/ssssgridman-voice-drama-episode-66.html
At last the kaiju girl appears, after making a Early-Bird Cameo in almost every episode until now. [1] I now wonder if the "predecessor" was the "fairy" from the original series.
Liked the nod to the "spirit dwelling in music instruments" from the original series.
