This page has never been an Useful Notes page and it would be inappropriate for it to become one since a) it's not written like an Useful Notes page and b) being transgender is still a big deal in a number of works of fiction. There are many plots that can be tied in to that status and it's kind of unusual in many media.

Evidently this was changed from a Useful Note to a trope. Why? I get that trans people are rare in fiction, but I don’t think that their existence is a trope. Should we make "Gay" or "Asian" tropes too?
