Or it could, y'know, actually deserve that score.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I dont think any of the main games have been bad. I dont see the problem.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireHonestly, watching Shofu stream the game, it's inbetween okay and mediocre in all honesty. A lot of things in the game are ridiculously tipped in your favor, especially your starter having busted moves as early as the 2nd gym. The graphics are honestly not that great imo. The artstyle kinda clashes roughly at some points. The music is pretty great at least. Really like the remix of the Gym Leader Theme.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Four-Point Scale is a thing.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Mainline games have never been objectively bad. However, I will argue about goodness/badness for their time. After all, compare RBY to XY and no question, XY blow RBY out of the water. But RBY revolutionized the video gaming industry and created (or codified) its Catch Em All genre, whereas XY are lackluster entries compared to their predecessors, both immediate and a bit further back.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.I got much more mileage out of XY than I did out of the Unova games. I've played BW and its sequels twice but its story and Pokémon are still the series low-point to me. It's all chocked up to opinions though—I've seen many hail the games as the best in the series.
On Let's Go...
Green has dialogue apparently. That's fascinating. I wish Red would be given dialogue as well.

"..." is dialogue.
I loved Gen 5. I thought it came out at the perfect time (at the height of the "Pokemon is just dogfighting" thing, that even got PETA's attention and led them to create that Pokemon Black and Blue "game" of theirs), I thought it was very topical, and felt it was certainly a strong generation on its own.
I felt Gen 4 had a pacing problem, but it did give us HGSS.
To me, though, Gen 6 felt... bland. Like, it was cool to be in 3D and to be wandering around France, but the rivals were devoid of any kind of interesting personality (except Calem/Serena, and even then...), the evil team was just laughable, and I'm still not sold on mega-evolution. To me, ORAS was the high point of Gen 6, and while it had its problems (including a bland rival as well, though at least they kind of played up the romantic light we all knew was there), I still very much enjoyed the games (even if I felt they butchered some of the remade songs).
As for Gen 7, it could have been better, but I liked it for what it was.
If I had to rank the gens in order of I how I liked them, it'd go 4(HGSS) > 2 > 5 > 6(ORAS) > 3(RSE) > 7 > 4(DPPT) > 3(FRLG) > 1 > 6(XY)
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Green's dialogue sure is... something. Best you experience it for yourself if you're getting the game.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I really dig mega evolution. I just wish there was more of it. I like it when they go for crazy stuff like that. Z-moves are pretty great, too, but only the unique ones really speak to me.
I wonder what the next gen gimmick will be, actually. I hope there are more regional forms, at least. I'd hate for them to drop that idea.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireDo you mean the art style?
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Could mean both.
Also I would not take critical scores in regards to pokemon games(or Nintendo games really TBH) too seriously, as minus spinoffs seem to score pretty well.

BW and its sequel handled the dogfighting thing horribly.
Where there's life, there's hope.Been playing the game. Midnight release was mainly men and dads. Some of which were either getting into pokemon for the first time to bond with kids. Some were old fans who were even double dipping to get both.
That said, playing the game is very Go like. They really expect you to catch a ton because they start you out with 40 Ballard, geez. Having a PC in your pocket is absolutely amazing and allows for swift party changes. Going to give more thoughts a bit later, but it's a bit harder to get attached to mons when you are rapid firing catching them
Do Pokemon still heal when going into the box?
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. No; you need a center or potions to heal them.
Oh gosh, was doing a capture combo on some zubat and bam, Chansey of all things showed up! Took a ton of berries but I ended up catching it.
Is it just as frustrating as it was in Gen 1? Because I never got one in G1. It always kept running because the Safari Balls suck.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit. It has a low catch rate and kept bouncing from sides of the screen.tool like 10+ greatballs and some razz berries to take it down.

Not sure what your point is. So far the people that have played it seems to enjoy it, especially those playing the game with their kids.
The music is freaking amazing too.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu launch trailer with a remix of the original anime's English opening theme
That's really cool.
That was beautiful.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Goddammit I wanna be mad but the original anime song just hits every single one of my nostalgia buttons and they even recreated the opening fuuuuuuuuuuck
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaImpressive. They recreated the opening nearly scene by scene. I wonder if they can do it for the Japanese opening...
Well remix games are always going be judged differently than debut games, even if they are technically better, because people come into them with different standards.
