I mean, Maleficent seems tied to X things, so maybe she and Pete will be used more in the next games.

Aren't they supposed to show up early with Hades though?

Hades didn't have enough E V E R L A S T I N G D A R K N E S S to be important to plot.

Basically:

- DDD: Sora sees unmasked Vanitas in Notre Dame.

- III: Sora sees Vanitas in Monstropolis and recognizes him from the cathedral. Later, Vanitas' mask comes off and Sora is surprised by his face.

Or to put it shorter, its a continuity nod enduced plot hole. They remembered it enough to have Sora reference the scene, but not enough to remember what actually was in it.

@Omega Radiance Though he could have faked it. He has weird space powers and may have faked his killing himself as using them he could easily survive a jump. Would not be shocked if the locked epilogue or secret ending was him picking up Master Xehanort's Keyblade.

BTW Xehanort's actor's birthday is today. Happy X-Blade!

His weapon did the death fading thing, so I think Xigbar did die.

That being said, he's most likely going to come back as Braig, so he'd still be able to be a future villain anyways.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to say he perma-died when Sora pretty much talked like he was going to see Luxord, Larxene, and Marluxia again.

On an unrelated note, really disappointed that Kairi wound up being damseled again.

Could the girl that Isa and Lea lost be the toddler Kairi? Ansem did kidnap and experiment and send her away.

People are thinking it's a star related girl to complete Lea's and Isa's Sun-Moon duo. So Skuld?

All the villains are time traveling from the past to inhabit Replicas. Xigbar included.

Ive heard only Vanitas is the only exception since his Unversed remnants found Monsters Inc and used that to reconstitute him, which Vanitas himself says in that world.

Thats the theory. Especially with the constant signs of remnants of the old implied second keyblade war surviving since Ephemer appears in the graveyard.

What is sun themed about Lea though?

His chakrams are shaped like a sun, some of his Gears in Days are named after sun-related terms, his younger self had mostly orange clothes, the bright and cheerful to Isa’s calm and gloomy, and the “why does the sun sets red?” question. Plus, sun produces fire. And I think there’s more but I don’t remember right now.

Also, regarding Kairi, when she was a party member in Saix+Xion fight, she gets a fully-functional moveset that’s basically a magic-oriented version of KH1 Sora. So there’s that.

I am not sure any of that really much directly ties Axel to the sun as a motif as it is his general fire stuff.

And she's not really very KH Sora-y, she seems to have a standard combo and a couple of special attacks including a light bullet and what looks like a spinny drill rockety jump attack.

I wonder if they have Limit Breaks or party actions? Guess we will see soon.

Yeah, Aqua was definitely the most capable of the three.

btw, is there any footage for this world that's literally called "The Final World"?

You Tube is rife with spoilers so it shouldn’t be hard to find it, unless SE came crashing down on the leakers.

The only footage I was able to find was Sora and co. getting consumed by the darkness, followed by Sora waking up in The Final World, with the screen splash thing happening.

And that was taken down already.

I don't mean the last world of the game, I mean the world that's literally called "the Final World", which isn't actually the last world of the game. It's confusing terminology, I know.
