Discussion Thread

RP Thread

In the distant future, humanity has spread beyond living on Earth and have colonized planets across the universe, creating a New Frontier of man. In order to maintain law and order across the New Frontier, Cavalry Command was formed.

Not soon after mankind had begun to get cozy when a race of extra-dimensional invaders from the Vapor Dimension, the Outriders, appeared. Burning worlds and slaughtering settlers, their goal seemed to be nothing short of the complete conquest of the universe. With superior technology and a legion of titanic war machines, Cavalry Command was almost powerless against their threat.

Until Star Sheriff Marianne "April Eagle" Louvre and Project Ramrod. Capital ship, battle station, and fighting robot, this miracle weapon, first of the Bismarck class of ships, gave humanity its fighting chance. Working with Star Sheriff Richard "Saber Rider" Lancelot and assisted by Deputies William "Colt" Willcox and Shinji "Fireball" Hikari, they had driven the Outriders back from all known space.

It has been almost 30 years since then. But now worlds on the outer rim of the New Frontier are going dark. In the resulting unease, crime has begun to rise. The renegade Sheriff Jesse Blue remains at large. But the Ramrod, along with Marshals Astra Louvre and Lancelot, and Sherriffs Willcox and Hikari, has gone missing.

In these trying times, Cavalry Command has enacted the Lancelot Protocol, renamed for its most famous user. As was done to two of those four most famous operatives, Marshals Astra all over the Frontier are now given the authority to deputize the willing and the brave as a new generation of Star Sheriffs. No matter the race, no matter the profession, all they're looking for is a few good deputies. Will you answer the call?

So what is this? Simply put, it's a space western RP set in the world of "Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs" which I have taken the liberty to throw in a bunch of other things for good measure. Incidentally, this is also the first RP which I cooked up.

You are volunteers for the Lancelot Protocol. From all races and walks of life, you will begin in the city of Havenward on the surface of the planet Journey as the Cavalry Command Fleet Detachment makes a routine R&R stop when things hit the fan. How exactly? Well, are you a bad enough dude to give this a shot?

Rules are simple. Follow the forum's rules, don't be dicks to one anothers, no Mary Sues, and be mature enough to know when to give. You're all the protagonists in this here space yarn, after all.

Game begins on Wednesday, May 16, GMT+8. Or when we have 12 - 16 players before then. If you're a late entry, that's fine too.

The Character Sheet

Name:

Race: Robots, aliens, humans, etc.

Gender:

Age: Youngest I'm willing to take is 17.

Appearance: Be descriptive or find links, it's all good.

Prior Occupation: Space idols, construction workers, students, veterinarians, ex-Cavalry Command, prospectors, petty criminals, all sorts.

Background May or may not include a motivation.

Skills

Equipment Your own vehicle is a plus. Everything from hoverbikes, MOSPEADA platforms, one-man mechs both transforming and otherwise, souped up F-Zero racers, mounts both biological and bionic, the works. Just don't go overboard. Something the size of a corvette at most is fine. Make it something not readily easy to cart (like your own planetoid or an estate) around and we might have to hash something out.

Name: Arian Valus

Race: People on Walker IV call themselves Variants; they are all mostly human but their environment mutates them enough for them to not be fully human. Arian's "variances" are that her hair is naturally ridiculous-looking and that her skin is mildly flame-retardant.

Gender: F

Age: 23

Appearance: Arian dresses in salvaged trophies and trinkets picked up from Walker IV. She is about 5'9.

Prior Occupation: Mechanic/Artisan

Background: Arian's people are a society of dragoons and mounted archers that ride motorcycles and hoverbikes on the crashyards of the planet Walker IV. Walker is itself a vaguely living thing that responds to the wishes and mental states of its inhabitants, and molds itself in response to them. Though it is covered in junked technology, basically none of it is anything that actually exists anywhere, and none of it is actually left over from a great catastrophe or anything like that. Arian's family are a noble house of artisans who want nothing more than to see the materials of Walker used to their fullest extent, which was fine until Arian fished a communications router out of a pile and discovered the wider galactic community she'd been shut out from up till now. Worlds undreamed of, vehicles unridden, and most importantly a whole galaxy of philistines who'd never seen a fine Walker Combike before. Arian left Walker IV with the intent of changing that and bringing glory to the House of Valus.

Skills

  • Arian has a knack for mechanics, the jankier the better. She can look at shitty improvisational mechanical parts and pick out the commonalities with all the other stuff she's seen before, but the plating and opaqueness that "stock model" machines have to keep things hidden under the hood severely hinders her abilities.
  • Arian's skills transfer into archery better than expected—she has a sharp eye and a steady hand so she's best at fighting at extremely long ranges. While she certainly can fire while moving, Arian is superhumanly good if she gets the opportunity for herself and her target to be completely still.
  • Arian has a good sense of direction and she's accustomed to scrounging for food. Again, she has a good eye for detail and she knows how to see through camouflage and stuff like it.

Equipment:

  • Arian has a camera about the same dimensions as a classic Gameboy before the lens is attached. It has the standard zoom, photo, and video functions, and Arian just has it rigged to upload any pictures or footage she catches to an online gallery whenever she can get a signal.
  • Arian's ride is also her primary weapon of choice. The Walker Combike Clasher is, most of the time, a blocky and bulky sand-beige motorcycle. Notably, the wheels are made of an advanced porous plastic, which allows them to be flexible like wheels but not risk puncturing. The Clasher can also convert into a high-powered cannon. The chassis shifts into either a stand or an armature to brace against Arian's body, and the wheels move sideways, up, and out to turn into a pair of spinning propulsion rings kind of like those things you shoot hotwheels cars through. Then Arian lines up sharpened bolts of steel and fires them at absurd velocities. She doesn't fuck with special heads but she's not above tying a cable to the back of a bolt.
  • When she needs to be more mobile, Arian also just has a plain compound bow that can fire these same bolts.
  • Arian keeps a toolbox on her at all times. Useful as a robust bludgeon and for holding all the tools a mechanic would need—wrenches, a blowtorch, a screwdriver, and about 50 feet of cable, tubing, and wires of various sizes. It also has a small blade mostly used for "whittling" new bolts from scrapmetal if she needs to do so.

@Taco: Accepted without question.

@Heroic Sociopath: How high do you want to go? Full Alpha Level psychic from 40k with the tanks flying and the demon summoning? Because I'mma put my foot down and say psychics are limited to like Carl Jenkins from Roughnecks.

Sorry about the delay. Had a bit of difficulty thinking of a name and still a bit indecisive about things. Might add some stuff later, but hopefully this is good enough already.

  • Name: Jestar Usawa

  • Race: Lapin. Pretty much humanoid, save the ears, tail and possibly feet. I'm pretty indecisive. May or maynot transform into a fuzzy anthropomorphic rabbit when the moon is full.

  • Gender: Male.

  • Age: 24.

  • Appearance: Let's see...about 5'2. Something sorta like this until I find something better. Blue eyes and it's kinda missing the ears.

  • Prior Occupation: Frontiersman/Treasure Hunter.

  • Background: To say Jestar was a curious child growing up would be somewhat of an understatement. Always staring up at the stars and the moon, wondering what else was out there beyond that tiny speck he considered home, only getting ideas Although his relationship with his parents was somewhat strained as while he saw his father as a friendly rival and trying to upshow him with discoveries of his own...the young man's father saw him as a green-horn who never seemed to be impressed despite his exploits while his mother constantly insisted on him being content with just a normal life and settling down.

    • Not long after his nineteenth birthday, his father set off for some legendary treasure on an uncharted backwater planet and never returned while Jestar's mother became despondent and ill, he had to reluctantly, if only temporarily stopping his exploring ways and apply as a volunteer for the Lancelot Protocol and hopefully bring in some sort of income to support them. ...Granted, the job wasn't likely to be any less hazardous than a life of hunting treasure and adventure with discovering the unknown, but it was something.

  • Skills: Has rather strong legs meaning someone getting too close is liable to be kicked. Pretty athletic and light on his feet. Good at appraising things for any potential value. Got a bit of a silver tongue, and can improvise on the fly.

  • Equipment - Omni-Goggles: From scanning for potential threats on the horizon to providing night vision, details he may have missed or for simple stargazing. They also protect his eyes, naturally. Usually comes partnered with an oxygen/breathing apparatus for surviving in hazardous atmospheres and other similar situations.

    • Tools of the Trade: Consisting of literal tools for a quick bit of repairs, rope for climbing places he can't normally jump up to OR keeping some rowdy ruffians tied up and some Quik-Fix bandages for the lighter wounds.

    • Sanguine Shooter: A sleek six shooter with a silver shine. Fires crimson colored lasers. Capable of ricocheting off metallic or glass-like surface if he's trying to show off or catch an enemy off guard thinking that X missed along with being able to detonate the spheres from his other hand-gun below. Like most of his equipment, it's somewhat outdated with some even saying it's practically a relic of the past with a slow rate of fire Regardless of that fact, it's a reliable fire-arm and usually his go-to option when lethal force is necessary.

    • Blue Blaster: A rather boxy firearm with a shovel-like handle to hold the weapon with the trigger being a button on the handle. Shoots sphere shaped projectiles rather than lasers and can be charged up. Compared to the above weapon however, this isn't lethal on organic life-forms, at best stunning them. Hitting something mechanical however tends to have more drastic results such as causing weaker/outdated/small things like computers or control systems to shut down, although for humanoids/transports and the big stuff, this only occurs at full charge. Not exactly practical as it'll run out of ammo after two such shots.

    • Tyraixs: While not as much of a relic as his weapons, this small fighter ship's design and appearance certainly is. Apparently modeled after some old earthen steam locomotive or at least when idle, the craft changes shape when in motion, with the chimney shifting to the front of the fighter and being the primary cannon while the wheels turn into propeller-like thrusters and move to either the back of the fighter when in the vacuum of space or beneath it like a hovercraft when in a planet's atmosphere. It's not fast nor particularly powerful in dogfights, but it's definitely serviceable enough for his wandering ways.

@Enirboreh: I did some reading on who and what the Kaydenites are and I am definitely putting my foot down. Your alien race can have a natural advantage, but be sure to balance it out with some actual flaw. All sorts in the New Frontier, after all.

[up] Aye, quickly realised how bad of an idea that was. In that case, I have another race that maybe can fit a little better. Is this alright?

  • Name: Dopp-A
  • Race: Iangolian. Biomechanical, semi-insectoid race with a hive-minded culture, based entirely around the protection and worship of their home planet of Iango. All in all, they are highly proficient with technology, and are surprisingly vicious little buggers in combat, using their sharp talons and enhanced strength to quite the effect. Notably non-vocal, only communicate visually via their eyes; through shifting patterns and colours on the glassy surface. Also has a power core on the forehead - a weak spot.
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 27 (Would be considered in his late teens to most other races)
  • Appearance: It's the best I could do, shut up. Only 1'9 in height, eyes have an ethereal, constantly shifting texture to them. Power core on head glows a bluish white.
  • Prior Occupation: Scavenger
  • Background: Like the other members of this bizarre, simultaneously adorable and unnerving race, Dopp-A's birthing process (if he even was born by conventional means) is unknown, as most young Iangolians tend to just show up on their planet in the same physical state as their elders with no apparent change from aging. Unlike most other Iangolians, however, Dopp-A has seemed to have developed a resistance to the mysterious brainwashing/hive mind effect across the entire species that connects them all to each other, and so has a more individualised personality than the rest of his race. Initially appearing rather sweet and inquisitive, Dopp-A has a cunning, learning mind that is rapidly developing and storing every tidbit of information it can get. It eventually got to the point where Dopp-A had made the choice to leave his homeworld, jury-rigging a ship and somehow managing to temporarily sabotage and disable the planet's infamous automated defense turret in the process, making him the first creature to successfully leave Iango via spacecraft. Having roamed planets, moons, and spacestations alike, Dopp-A's inquisitive and intuitive thirst for knowledge has driven him into joining the Lancelot Protocol in order to discover more of both the universe and his tiny self than he ever could back on his dry, sandy rock of a homeworld.
  • Skills:
    • As an ex-crash-site scavenger back on Iango, Dopp-A has a very intimate understanding with technologies old and new, able to take them apart, wiggle them around a bit, and put them back together into something almost impossibly different to what it was before. Naturally, this means he is drawn to any tech he can find, and it is not unusual to see him hauling around a chunk of machinery in his stubby clawed arms or fiddling with his translator in his off time.
    • His large eyes aren't just for shouting silent obscenities. They are incredibly developed in vision, and are comparable to an Earth bird of prey in their telescopic nature and ability to pick up even the tiniest details. They are also highly adaptable to light changes, specifically being able to see perfectly even on a planet that practically seems to be only three inches away from its star. (Naturally, since Iango had two yellow suns and one red giant in its atmosphere).
    • The power core on his forehead also gives him some abilities otherwise impossible biologically, and is effectively his entire life-force and sense of self. For example, despite his size, Dopp-A has quite the physical strength due to said core. He is powerful enough to tear into the crashed wrecks of spaceships with his claws and lift chunks of metal twice his size with some effort, and knows how to integrate it into a feral, pouncing fighting style. Another ability is an enhanced regeneration speed, allowing Iangolians as a whole to quickly recover from a variety of injuries even to the extent of having every biological aspect of themselves being completely disintegrated. However, like the strength and indeed their overall wellbeing, this is directly tied into the state of their core, so even a slight chip on it could severely cripple the entire creature, and a solid shot onto what is effectively a giant bullseye on the middle of their forehead could shatter the core and instantaneously vaporize them.
  • Equipment:
    • As a necessity in communication, Dopp-A owns a tiny universal translator that he wears around his torso. It takes a while for it to develop understanding of new languages, however, so he usually has to rely on purely physical charades to talk until the translator finally becomes functional. Unless of course one can decipher the Iangolian's eye-based language.
    • Dopp-A also owns a small flight pod for interplanetary travel, about the size of a small car and perfect for his short stature. He purchased it as a replacement for his jury-rigged vessel that he initially used to escape Iango, and has clearly owned it long enough to make it his own, its previously immaculate and modern design now marred by randomly welded junkyard pieces and souvenirs. He also keeps a collection of tools and equipment in the small amount of storage space in the pod, as well as a tiny sleeping area, effectively making it a portable home for him.

  • Name: Sebastian Cross
  • Race: Formerly human, now infected with a virus strain known as Moroi which has left Sebastian in something of a vampiric state. Long and short of the situation, Sebastian doesn't really age anymore and has a really heavy addiction to the blood of humans (or other, similar species) as well as incredibly sharp canines. Those suffering from the Moroi strain also gain the bonuses of being able to move faster and are physically stronger than the average human, on the flipside, all forms of direct exposure to solar radiation will essentially cause the infectee to grow heavily fatigued before eventually succumbing to the solar rays and dying. This weakness to solar radiation can be counteracted by covering up in sun-heavy environments and making sure to keep one's skin out of the sunlight. Additionally, Moroi infectees, despite being significantly more durable than the average human, will die if you fill them with enough bullets (or lasers as the case may be), or take their heads. The Moroi strain is a bloodborne virus and thus is transferred through the blood, in most cases through being bit by a Moroi infectee or receiving a transfusion containing the virus.
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Lost track after the second century (is around 300 years old). Is physically in his mid 20s
  • Appearance: Like so
  • Prior Occupation: Various odd-jobs, mostly night shift work (obviously). Spent the last few decades bouncing around as a late night bartender.
  • Background: Born and raised on a small outback planet in relative poverty, Sebastian had a pretty easygoing life until he was on the receiving end of a really nasty car accident that left him quite low on blood. After receiving a life-saving transfusion, Sebastian quickly found himself succumbing to the Moroi virus, finding himself unable to go much of anywhere in the daytime and locked himself in his basement during daylight hours. This, of course was before the cravings for blood kicked in. At first they started off subtly, a craving for a rarer steak, a preference for carpaccio, etcetera. It was manageable until one, rather unfortunate night, when Sebastian was wandering the empty streets of his hometown when he spotted another lone wanderer and suddenly had an unrestrained craving for his blood. Unable to keep himself restrained, Sebastian quickly overpowered the wanderer and drained him of his blood. Naturally distraught when he came to, Sebastian simply sat by the wanderer's corpse until morning wherein the local authorities found Sebastian covered in blood and quickly put two and two together and arrested him. Due to the heinous nature of Sebastian's crime, he was quickly put to death by hanging. Unfortunately for those involved, the hanging didn't really keep Sebastian down, though he decided to take it as a sign that someone out there thought he could redeem himself. Hopping on the next ship off-planet, Sebastian spent the next few centuries bouncing from job to job, grabbing blood bags off the black market when he needed to handle his cravings and overall living a pretty peaceful life as he tried to find a way to repent for his crimes. Then, Cavalry Command enacted the Lancelot protocol. Seeing it as the most logical path to redemption, Sebastian quit his job, sold everything he owned and got ready to do his best to make up for what he deemed his original sin.
  • Skills:
    • Due to centuries of performing odd jobs, Sebastian has picked up a little bit of everything, but not enough to really be an expert in any particular field he's studied. He can keep his car maintained, but isn't able to repair major breakdowns. He can make decent drinks, but isn't exactly a master of the craft of bartending. And lastly, Sebastian knows a thing or two about basic furniture repair.
    • Since the galaxy's a dangerous place, Sebastian has picked up a few combat skills pertaining to his two weapons of choice (and using them in conjunction). So Sebastian is a decent hand with his revolver and can hold his own with his sabre, and can definitely take on most opponents when using both in conjunction.
  • Equipment:
    • Sebastian drives a vintage sports car equipped with heavily tinted and mirrored windows to keep his exposure to solar rays minimal while driving during the daytime, additionally, when the car is parked, the windows will blackout and stop all outside solar radition from entering the vehicle. Sebastian's car is also equipped with an electric freezer that stores several dozen blood bags for when Sebastian's cravings get the better of him on the job.
    • For self defense, Sebastian carries a high caliber solid projectile six shot revolver and a steel cavalry saber styled after those wielded on earth hundreds of years in the past.
    • And for when he has to wander about in the sun, Sebastian carries a pair of dark sunglasses, black leather gloves and a black Stetson styled hat. For extremely sunny environs, Sebastian has a welding mask and a heavy military style scarf in the back of his car.

  • Name: Lorea Avna
  • Race: Pure, unaltered human. Whether she remains that way is up to the whims of fate.
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance: like so
  • Prior Occupation: Interplanatary Rest Stop Attendant
  • Background: Lorea has what she'd consider a pretty average life. She grew up out in the boonies, on a sparsely inhabited planet called LJ-005. Once she was of age she left home to seek her fortune, only to find she didn't have the resources to live on her own for long. She ended up getting a dead end job as a rest stop attendant to pay the bills. Lorea absolutely hated this, and jumped at the chance to become a Star Sheriff. While at first glance this might seem like a stupid, naive decision, Lorea's background on LJ prepared her better for the job than one might expect. For LJ-005 is a harsh planet, filled with dangerous creatures and covered mostly with forest. For most of Lorea's early life, her parents taught her to survive the planet's whims and hunt the creatures living upon it to survive. ... So maybe a little less average than Lorea assumes.
  • Skills: Lorea's generally pretty athletic, owing to her background. She's also an expert hunter- tracking, marksmanship, and concealing her presence are all things that come easily to her. She also has in-depth knowledge on the inner workings of interplanatary rest stops, and is a pretty decent cook.
  • Equipment:
    • A modded hoverbike. Mostly bought to help her get to work, Lorea eventually saved up the funds to upgrade it a little from the standard model. It goes faster on average than a standard bike, but not much else about it is noteworthy.
    • Lorea keeps a plasma rifle from her days on LJ. Before now it was mostly just a neat decoration, but now it might actually see use again.
    • While a normal knife might not seem like much in an age of plasma, they still make for effective weapons. Lorea always carries one out of habit- her parents gifted it to her when she left home. It's incredibly sharp, and doesn't often need to be sharpened.
    • Another memento from home, Lorea has a high tech camo poncho. Rather than just being one static pattern, the poncho is able to mimic its surroundings to more effectively hide the user. It doesn't obscure body heat, though, and doesn't keep the user from being a noisy fuck.
    • Lastly, Lorea has a pair of ballistic goggles. They have the obvious function of protecting her eyes, along with the added ability to "zoom in" her view.

  • Name: X-F20.3.50. Codenamed Joan
  • Race: Robot
  • Gender: female
  • Age: 25, at least, that’s what she would told you
  • Appearance: the photo that made her famous
  • Prior Occupation: fashion model
  • Background:
    • she is a product of a fashion mega-corporation named Eskatet, designed alongside a unique dress solely for the most anticipated high-concept fashion show named Lead Gaia. What was intended for just one use ended up being a viral sensation across the fashion scene in the universe. So, naturally, Eskatet listened and decided not to recycle the armor dress and mass produced it. X-F20, on the other hand, was a much harder decision to keep or to scrap for the company. It took a lot of convincing from her designer, whom X-F20 refer to as simply ‘the Creator’, to not only keep her as a product but also to spend more resources to improve her.
    • The Creator’s vision was to simply make fashionable robots, to be an extension of their respective clothes’ personality. So naturally, the Creator decided to improve upon X-F20 for combat uses, gave her more complex AI than “walk up and down catwalk”, gave her a french accent and name her Joan. Now all the Creator needs to do was to plop her down somewhere and field test her…
  • Skills:
    • swordfighting: to keep in theme with her medieval armor fashion, of course.
    • Super speed: Of course, to make up for her lack of traditional long ranged arms, she has the speed of a sports car, going from 0 to 60 in 1 second. She also has super jump as well as a cool bonus.
    • Durability: her armor dress have been improved upon to protect against laser and bullets. Even her skin couldnt be penetrated by a simple knife.
Equipment:
  • Sword and shield: updated to the modern age. The shield is essentially a riot shield but remodelled to look medieval and her sword are sharpened and tuned so that it is able to cut through steel.
  • Repair androids: For fixing any damage Joan would have gotten in combat, tho they cant fix her during combat and they take a considerable amount of time to fix her.
  • camera android: whats the point of high concept fashion if you dont show it off on social media? Thats what the camera android is for.

  • Race: Cyborg
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 25
  • Appearance: A tall man with dark hair and a very fashionable goatee. He tends to wear cheaper suits that he has had tailored to him, but does have a more basic set of clothes with a heavy leather coat and wide brimmed hat when traveling. He also is always wearing a pair of gloves regardless of what he's doing. If someone were to get a look underneath his clothes they would see he is heavily tattooed. • Prior Occupation: Casino Dealer
  • Background: What is known about Robert is that he was born on the same planet where he made a small name for himself as the most honest but most violent card dealer on New Vegas, a planet famed for being almost entirely run by different casinos from small to large. However what's not known is what he was doing for the majority of his life as he was hired at Casino Grand at the age of 17 without his right arm or eye. At first he used this mysterious reputation to keep cheaters and angry customers in line. However the rules about what will and won't fly in New Vegas are only dictated by what security can stop in time (hence dealers are paid a pretty penny because after the first wave of murders no one else was applying). So after the first altercation to go badly, Robert spent multiple paychecks on a new arm and eye so he could effectively use the standard weapons most dealer have as a matter of course. Over time he became a highly respected dealer, even being loaned out to other Casino for large events on occasion. Despite this when the call for the Lancelot Protocol came down he promptly quit his job and applied.
  • Skills:
    • Sleight of Hand: As is expected of anyone who works for a Casino, House always wins.
    • Knife fighter: Most attacks on dealers happen in close quarters so you don't survive long as one in New Vegas without some skill at knives
    • Dirty fighting: Has a disturbing tendency to punch people in the throat.
  • Equipment:
    • A chopper styled hover bike.
    • A sawed off shotgun which formerly hung underneath any table he was dealing under.
    • Several stiletto knives as well as a brace of throwing knives.
    • As discussed previously Robert has several cybernetic limbs. both his legs below the knees are cybernetic with no additional features, his cybernetic right eye as a zoom function. His arm he has been quietly upgrading so not only does it have additional servos for strength but also a small energy blaster that needs time to recharge between shots.

-dramatic music ensues-

Woof.

  • Name: Wolfgang "Little Wolf" Kalashnikov Jr.
  • Race: Genetically modified human-canine hybrid. His kind are coloquially known as the Wolfen.
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: A small, bipedal, gray-furred wolf-man. Stands about 4'8". Usually goes without a shirt.
  • Prior Occupation: Underground MMA Fighter
  • Background: Growing up on a distant, small farm colony which was also used for genetic research, Wolfgang was the smallest of his family by far. As a result, his numerous siblings and cousins poked fun at him, but he never let this get him down. While his family may have been suited for farmwork, "Little Wolf" wasn't. Unsatisfied with heavy lifting day in and day out, eventually he found his ticket to the greater universe - a wealthy tourist wanted to have him as a 'servant'. In truth she treated him more like an exotic pet, but Lady Mera was nonetheless kind to him. Taking him to her much more cosmopolitan home planet, Metros, Wolfgang quickly settled into the city life. Not content with merely flirting with the maids when Lady Mera was out, instead Wolfgang took to sneaking out and exploring the city, and he quickly discovered his true passion: street fighting. He rapidly made a name for himself in the underground pits, and so his childhood name became his street one, and Little Wolf the Pit Fighter was born. Of course, Lady Mera figured out what he was doing eventually, but by then he had made enough money that he no longer needed her. While he earned riches and glory in the pits, he eventually grew tired of the lifestyle. The Lancelot Protocol seemed to him just like Mera's visit all those years ago - a chance at a new life. He eagerly jumped at it.
  • Skills:
    • Enhanced physical abilities: He's suprisingly strong for his small size, and he's incredibly nimble and agile. By dropping to all fours, can reach speeds up to 120 km/h (about 75 mph) for short bursts. He also has sharpened teeth and claws.
    • Senses: Enhanced senses of smell and hearing, as one would expect from a canine, though he's sensitive to high-pitched noises (e.g. dog whistles). He's also got better-than-human night-vision, but he's colorblind (specifically he perceives most everything as shades of blue, violet and yellow).
    • Fighting: He's an experienced street fighter, with lightning-fast reflexes. If he sees them coming and prepares, he can even slap bullets or plasma bolts out of the air with his Wolf's Claws. His style is a dirty mix of kickboxing and capoeria with other moves occasionally thrown in at random. Somehow he makes it work.
  • Equipment:
    • Wolf's Claws: Specialized gloves and shoes that augment Wolfgang's fighting style. When activated, they cover his hands and feet with specialized forcefields that taper off into 'energy claws' over his actual claws. They pack a hell of a punch, and he can use them to dig more efficiently or scale walls.
    • Hoverboard: He calls it the 'Little Howler'. A silver antigravity longboard with a howling wolf's head painted on. His Wolf's Claws attach him to it magnetically so he doesn't fall off.
    • Choker: A high-tech collar, which is basically a smartwatch that he wears around his neck. Acts as a smartphone with holographic display, can summon his hoverboard to him remotely, and even projects a personal full-body forcefield that reduces incoming impacts a little bit.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

  • Name: Molly/Sybil
  • Race: Cyborg Human
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 25
  • Appearance: Molly is a pale, young woman who tends to cover her body up, she generally wears hoodies and hats in an effort to hide the countless tattoos on her body, finding them slightly embarrassing. Her hands are covered in the tell-tale scars of cybernetic augmentation and as such, her arms are oddly still, having a tendency not to really move.
Sybil tends to wear mainly armor like she's ready to engage in combat. She detests anything that limits her sight and she wears all of her many, many knives almost like a safety blanket for her. Her head is half-shaved and black on her left side while being shoulder length and red on her right side. Her torso and shoulders are covered with tattoos, most noticeably the Motto of her former mercenary group in Latin covering her back.

She always carries around a small bandolier of knives along with a Medical Kit along with a constant amount of blue and red sharpie messages on her hands.

  • Prior Occupation:  Surgeon, Mercenary
  • Background: Molly and Sybil have been around for a long time in the underworld despite her age. She first appeared on a backwater planet working at a clinic for injured start travelers before wanderlust took over and she embarked on a journey to join a mercenary crew and go off on wild adventures.

Out in the action, the girl flourished. Sybil would engage in raids and after that, Molly would take over and patch everyone back up. However, Molly began to dislike the idea of the unsavory characters they rubbed elbows with and eventually persuaded Sybil to volunteer for something a bit less criminal. She applied under the need for a medic but Sybil remains an additional bonus.

  • Molly's Skills:
    • Skilled Surgeon
    • Good at checkers
    • Thanks to implants, incredibly sturdy and sturdy hands.
    • Fighting Skills
  • Sybil's skills:
    • Good shot with her harpoon gun
    • Expert Knife Fighter
    • Surprisingly Intimidating
    • Good knowledge of explosives.
  • Equipment:
  • A military-grade medical kit.
  • A dozen knives, ranging from Karambits to Bowie Knives
  • Some ingredients for bomb making (Low Level, however. Think Anarchist's Cook Book)
  • A Trident Harpoon Gun, used by pirates to hook onto ships, harpoons can be retracted, and she also has a quiver.
  • An old fashioned, pump-action shotgun though she only really uses this for interrogations.
  • A Custom, Deisel fed ROVER; a large, all-terrain motorcycle. It's loud, it's not that pretty but its durable and it's extremely easy to purchase new parts for.
