Why would Kokoro recognise Tessa?

To be more accurate, she might recognize Alchemical Aether. She recognized Undine as a member of the team without knowing what had happened to them, after all. That implies enough fame to get through to HP.

Tbh, with the changes in costume she may not even manage that. She wasn't personally familiar, just saw the merch.

And if the different speech bubble colours correspond to anything in universe she won't readily recognize the voice of the caller who threatened her. Then again if there is one thing she will recognize Goops Tessa as, it is a major threat.

Considering that she usually takes the decisions that will hurt whoever she's talking to the most plus her general body count and apparent hatred of Tessa you'd think this was prime bait for her

I think you're attributing more sincerity to Goops' actions than is warranted. Could well be she's about to screw over HP, like if absorbing the monster doesn't remove the McFly vanishing effect like killing it presumably would.

We're already seeing Kokoro being un-undone. The last panel shows her as much more solid than the first.

Of course, there's still plenty of other ways to mess with people. Goops probably lured Kokoro this way using the fog monster.

@Totemic Hero I stand corrected it seems. I wonder what Goops' goal is at the moment. Telling Kokoro whatever secret Tessa found out about the Woman in White?

I'd had the thought that she might want to sow discord between Kokoro and Undine, but I have no idea why she would expect either of them to believe anything she says or does.

Loving the expression work here. That last panel strikes an amazing balance between concession, sheepishness and a hint of underlying threat just through the set of her jawline.

Here's a question to consider: Who's responding to HP here: Goops? Or Tessa?

I'm assuming she just means Undine is close by. Kokoro might necessarily realize Goops is using Tessa's body, but Undine sure as hell will.

I thought she meant something to do with the sudden light appearing at her chest. Either that this form has a limit to how long it can be maintained, or it automatically detransforms at 2 am.

I know one thing that would be awkward is if she suddenly split apart, though I'm not sure if that's where this is going.

You know, a thought just struck me. All this time we've been wondering if HP would recognize Tessa despite only, at most, seeing her on TV or similar. But has it occurred to anyone that HP has never actually seen Goops? What she's seeing doesn't necessarily match the description we know/suspect she's been given, but maybe Heartful Punch hasn't realized that, yet.
