Ambien does have weird side effects that might explain her behavior... if it were just this one time. But unless she's on Ambien 24/7, she's just deflecting.

It's as good an excuse as trying to blame shitty behavior on being drunk. In other words, no excuse at all.

Are we really at the point now where people need fucking breathalyzers or blood testing devices attached to their phones?

I can assure you, I don't actually believe Roseanne did a bunch of racist tweets on Ambien. I was making a joke at the corporate expense's.

Mind you, my wife used to take Ambien and once accused me of having duct-taped an invisible dog's mouth beside our bed so I'm not too fond of the drug. *

But she never went on any racist tirades either.

Turns out, Roseanne died years ago, and the last season is just a novel Dan wrote to help deal with his grief.

Throw in something about dying while watching Fox and Friends or some nonsense.

I totally support renaming the show Darlene.

It won't be the same without the sarcastic bitterness and Happily Married status of the Roseanne Connor character but she won't have to be defiled by her actress either.

On a serious note, she was about to have major surgery.

Dying on the table is a possible way around it.

She was also addicted to / or at least abusing pain pills.

Yeah, the reason it got repealed was because of all the criminals getting rich because of it. Look into the mob. They weren't the predominant crime force they became until they got into the rum running business. I'm not arguing to bring it back. It'll never work, because where there's a demand, there will always be suppliers.

On-topic: I was vaguely interested in this before, and am still vaguely interested in the new idea. I just don't have the channel and don't wanna buy it online until I know for sure it'll last.
