Wonder whats the Ensemble Dark Horse version for a major or supporting characters though that got loved instead of the MC?

I heard that it has a timeskip as well... I wonder how Nozomi looks in the future?
Sad that I cant watch it due to my wi-fi is busted since friday :/

Okay, that was one heck of a fight scene. Honestly, sticking with this show was worth it just for that, and it's not even the finale. That will do, show. That will do.
@The Main Character You've got a screenshot of her timeskip appearance? Please PM me.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Is it just me or is this series kind of like entire hundred page shonen series condensed to 12 episodes?(even if by the author's usual style lot of tropes are made fun of or turned upside down )
100 pages is like 5 chapters or less, though.
Ah, typoed and meant to say chapter <_<
Yeah it does feels like this show already went through two seasons worth of content already and still have room left for a movie.

Huh, everything is coming together This show is rather well foreshadowed without being obvious at all
Well, as the show ends next week, I'm assuming all those possible YMMV posts will never be implemented.
Its going to fade away after it ends, like most seasonals.

Late but my thoughts on Ep. 11:
A pretty nice timeskip episode if you ask me. Sad to see that the old man passed away though :/ Also, it was interesting that the dragon was revealed to be the People of Paradise. I hope the next episode would be a great sendoff though.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Well it's been quite a ride. I'm really gonna miss this show (specially Nozomi). I really wish we get an ova of the aftermath at least.
Also hoping to see this show get covered in a future Super robot wars game.
Absolutely excellent show. I think I teared up little when the dragon remembered Takezou at his last moments.
Out of Mizukami's works, I would say this is my least favorite (note: I haven't read Sengoku Youko yet), but even Mizukami at his worst is still enough to make it Anime of the Year.
Hm, not sure how I feel about this show. It's very enjoyable on an episode-to-episode basis and I very much appreciate the artistry, but there's some serious problems on a macro level. The pacing is weird, the plot doesn't really make sense when examined, and the themes do not work at all. You can't really have a clash of ideals when they're all presented as mech violence! (And I'm not sure how "kindness" is supposed to work on a societal level)
Actually I think the pacing in incredible. Utterly insane, but in the best way possible. I've never seen what was at least a two cour plot condensed down into a single cour successfully! But somehow he managed without the plot feeling incoherent.
And while its true that mecha combat does kind of undermine some of the message, the clash of ideals being represented by clashing combatants is pretty much endemic to both shounen and seinen action manga. Planet With is hardly unique in that regard.
And as for thematic depth... well it's a side effect of it's lightning fast pacing that it's not going to be very detailed but I think it was done well enough to hold together.
Finished the final episode:
So, the MC itself forgive the Dragon after he destroyed his planet and then the MC returns to the destroyed planet only to reveal that it still has a lifeform in a form of flowers...Well that was unexpected but I'm cool with that.
Have to admit that this is one of the most underrated anime I've ever seen in my opinion. It takes a bit of a momentum in the second half and used it very well. Sad to see that in other website (Except MAL), I don't see any people discussing the show that much. And I saw that the YMMV page of it got deleted even if I plan to put the tropes in there...Ah well. Anyways, would love to recommend the show to my friends so yeah...
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."You can have a clash of ideals based around mech violence because the question is what happens when the mech violence ends. Do you try to destroy your enemy (Dragon), imprison them eternally (Sealing Faction) or start talking to them and giving them a chance to be better (Pacifist Faction)? It’s basically the old argument over punitive versus rehabilitative justice, with Nebula as the space police.
What's precedent ever done for us?And philosophical discussions via ROKKETTO-PAUNCH! is a mecha staple going back to Mazinger Z.
I think someone from Anime News Network called this type of mecha, Philosomech, when they were writing about Planet With.

I am a simple man, I like stories therefore I dissect and discuss them.Well, I finally got around to seeing the last episode. So glad I decided to check out this series. BTW, I wanted to know; Is the Manga still going, or did it end too?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I’m pretty sure that the manga and TV series were precisely identical, in that the storyboards for the anime also served as rough drafts for the manga (since Mizukami was doing both).
What's precedent ever done for us?
"Also Ensemble Darkhorse for Nozomi and Torai"
The thing is Ensemble Dark Horse is for popular minor characters, and I think both Nozomi and Torai are too major to count. I'm starting to think we should have an Ensemble Dark Horse cleanup thread, like we do for Magnificent Bastard and Complete Monster.
