Leon was unlockable in Rev 2's Raid mode so he is still into even numbers. Maybe we'll see him again.

I found Becky and Richard. My headcanon is Becky spent all of her ammo to drive off the snake.

Since I like to have a lighter on both Jill and Chris, Chris only has 1 fewer inventory space than Jill. Since I don't collect that much handgun ammo, Chris runs out of pistol ammo rather quickly.

Finding Forest gave me a net plus of 1 herb. I always have a surplus of herbs in REmake so it doesn't help me much, especially with Becky around. I heard Chris compensates the lack of grenade launcher with a flamethrower.

[up]Not really-you only get the flamethrower for one small section in the last third of the game, and not much fuel. Chris gets more handgun and shotgun ammo, which is where most of the compensation comes from. Also more health, which dovetails with the assumption you will be taking more hits from the Hunters and Chimeras you cannot reliably put down with one shot.

Chimerae are one-shot by the magnum, so I don't really worry about them.

So weird that the vaccine Sherry got didn't kill the virus, but instead integrated into her system.

Vaccines don't kill viruses. They give the body practice dummies to make it easier to survive later infections with the real viruses.

but HOW?

The lack of the assault shotgun really makes the first mansion segment tough. I have only one use of kerosene left from the two safe rooms. There are a lot of back and forth to juggle ammo and the four masks. Thankfully the snake room gave me shotgun shells, and I don't have to spend a single shell fighting the first snake boss fight.

So Wesker is the one giving Chris ammo I'm the Eastern safe room. That's hilarious. Rebecca not being able to play the piano well is cute in the cutscene but a bit tedious in gameplay.

Replying to the last page's message, I really hope RE 8 stars Jill. Out of all the protagonists, I don't really have a feel for her personality really.

All those years & I was under the impression that Wesker was the one reason this is all started. Well, time to turn in my RE fan card. Again.

I honestly have no clue what kind of direction they want to take the RE series. After the amazing reception RE 2 remake got & RE 3 being the next project, I don't think RE 8 is happening any time soon.

TBH, I pretty much skip RE 7 because I was one of the few people who didn't like the direction it went & I absolutely hated what they did with Chris in that game. Still, it would be incredibly disappointing if they didn't anything with the Umbrella arc. Which knowing Capcom, they probably will still find a way to screw it up.

I also don't know where they want the kind of direction they want to do with Jill. God, it's so hard to believe it's been over a decade since Jill was involved in anything RE related. Even Rebecca came back. Well, at least she was in Teppen.

My hot take about Resident Evil 6 is that it did the Dead Space gimmick of "enemies that change their behaviours depending on where you shoot them" far better than Dead Space ever did. The C-Virus infectees are awesome as a group of enemies. Maybe they're not suited to a strict survival horror, but they deliver on the virus' core conceit very well. Where their bodies adapt depending on where they're struck. So if you hit them in the legs they can grow giant mantis-like limbs that let them tower over you and leap great distances. If you hit an arm it can grow into a massive shield that makes them immune to bullets, or a whip like appendage that lashes out to drag you closer. If you hit their midsection they can turn into puffy suicide bombers, or their whole torso splits into a snapping insectoid mandible. It's really cool and makes fights against them dynamic as all hell. Since you have to account for new configurations every time you encounter them. .

I like that Nicholai and Mikhail still have their fairly goofy Russian accents. Probably not as goofy this time around but hey.

Also the guy who claims he's not infected makes me wonder if Tyrell and Murphy are gonna get slightly bigger roles than they did before?

So what can they do with Nemesis to one up the Remake's Mr X? In the originals Nemesis was a massive upgrade on Mr X due to his ability to pop up seemingly anywhere. Mr X in the remake could already do that.

It's monstrous, but I kinda want Nemesis to raid a save room under certain conditions

Aw, no redesign miniskirt.

Gonna miss that mini-skirt.

Eh, not the end of the world. Realistically speaking, miniskirts would be one of the LAST things a woman of Jill's caliber should wear when it comes to fighting off hordes of the undead and mutant humongoloids. Besides, there's always the retro costume for all your miniskirt desires.

Yeah, this would've been a major WTF moment for State of Play if it didn't get leaked earlier. Still, great that it got a proper announcement.

Now where are we on that Dino Crisis remake?

I jest, but I did some digging, and the original Dino Crisis came out shortly after RE3, so I kinda want to hear something about a Dino Crisis remake by E3 2020?

Dino Crisis pls.

As for Nemesis, he sprints more than Mr. X did, can one hit kill you with his tentacle if you aren't careful, and then there's that rocket launcher of his.

Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.

As for Nemesis....the instal-kill tentacle and the rocket launcher are overkill.

[up][up][up] They're probably going to disregard it for the sake of bloodthirsty reptiles, but if they do a Dino Crisis remake, I almost want them to have a "scientifically-accurate mode" where all the dinosaurs in the game look and act more in line with how they would have been in real life according to modern science realizations.

I agree, except I probably like the idea more if it wasn't for how wonky the aiming can be.

Some more info on RE 3 Remake release date is April 3 2020 and it also includes Resident Evil Resistance

Probably a good thing that the game is being packaged with RE 3.

So what can they do with Nemesis to one up the Remake's Mr X? In the originals Nemesis was a massive upgrade on Mr X due to his ability to pop up seemingly anywhere. Mr X in the remake could already do that.

And you know, the ability to sprint from 12-foot tall monster is pretty fucking terrifying.

What's everyone talking about no miniskirts? The classic outfits are pre-ordered bonus.
