I'll have you know that wearing your jacket/jumper around your waist was the height of nineties fashion!
Seriously though, I didn't expect them to announce this. It kinda feels too soon given that Resi 2 Remake only came out earlier this year.
They are reusing the engine of 7 and presumably most of the level designs of 3, so it's not too far-fetched.
Weren't the original trilogy a yearly release as well?

Where there's life, there's hope.There was a director’s cut of RE 1 IIRC but 2 took a bit longer.
Also there was a Sega Saturn version sometime in there as well.
I guess because we're not supposed to know about this until next week at the Game Awards?
Spoilers, Jill and Carlos are in the game!

Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I finished Resident Evil 1. Took me 12 hours 23 minutes, not counting restarts. Chris, Jill, and Barry made it alive. Not sure where Rebecca is.
Alas, poor Wesker. See you in the next couple games.
I can see how this game is a horror classic. The mansion is very well designed, in both aesthetics and map layout. Though I wish they gave me two extra safe rooms. The residence and lab are not as captivating, however.
The sound design and music are too notch. The audio can get so eerie and tense that I had to pull my headphones away despite it giving me a disadvantage against the horrors.
I will play again as Jill but with tank control, will be looking to unlock the miniskirt outfit. I will hold off from playing as Chris until I finish Resident Evil Zero.
Where there's life, there's hope. You played Jill so Rebecca fell into a nearby plot hole that spit her out off-screen sometime after the events of the game.
Rebecca only appears in Chris's story. Barry isn't in Chris's campaign.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. They mention that Barry died on Chris' campaign.
I think Rebecca just straight doesn't exist on Jill's.

This song needs more love.Others already explained it, but when I read that I immediately thought she's dead Jim.
One Strip! One Strip!I thought the canon was that everyone lived. Also I wonder if they'll go back and do R E1make again.
They don't outright say Barry died. Chris says he doesn't know where he is and Wesker just assumes Barry died.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Yeah, they all live canonically and show up in later installments.
Does anyone else get a Junji Ito vibe from this picture of the (supposed?) RE3make Nemesis, or is that just me?
I don't see it, sorry.
Where there's life, there's hope.I feel like his stuff's usually a little more visceral.
The weird shape of his head reminds me of Amigara Fault, I think.
My first exposure to the Resident Evil franchise is the first live action movie. I liked it as much as I liked most horror movies (not a lot). I'd say I like movie Umbrella more than game Umbrella. Red Queen is also an interesting antagonist too.
Where there's life, there's hope.Game Umbrella gotten very cartoony, especially with the reveal in 5 on what its founder wanted to do.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order., For me it's actually the opposite - game Umbrella was at least following some twisted logic, i.e. the mass deaths still served Spencer's Social Darwinist vision.
Movie Umbrella meanwhile keeps creating biological disasters... just because? Heck, the sixth or so movie has Red Queen clone an entire city and kill them via zombie outbreak every day as a presentation for potential customers - and that is after the apocalypse had already happened.
I don't see how game Umbrella is any more cartoonish than that.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I only watch movies 1 and 3, so I can't comment on the later films. The clone thing is very weird, though.
Where there's life, there's hope.3 was when things started going downhill.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. The films were always extremely dumb. "Downward" is therefore a relative assessment. I enjoyed the first two in a brainless popcorn-munching way.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The first two made at least some sense - from the third movie onwards you were left wondering WHY Umbrella still kept producing bio-weapons and pursuing Alice, considering society had already collapsed.
Not to mention that the special effects seriously suffered past the 4th movie, with the zombies looking like Dead Snow extras.
And let's not even get into the random inclusions of stuff like the Las Plagas and the Executioner.
Day what you will about the first two movies, but at least they were coherent.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.
I just bought Resident Evil 0 for Switch while it's still on sale. The total cost for 1 and 0 ($28) is cheaper than the retail collection ($40). Now I just need to find space to download.
