They left it open to interpretation rather the outbreak was deliberate or if when his private army hit the island there was the umpteenth T-Virus sample accident in a lab there, somewhere.

Man. Put those virus samples in less fragile containers.

Or have better decontamination protocols.

Or give all your employees vaccinations before hand...

...or don't put them near populated areas...

OR STOP MAKING VIRUSES PERIOD!

To be fair, the main reason Umbrella produces these viruses is because the founders were a bunch of Social Darwinists with a god complex trying to achieve immortality and dabble in some eugenics.

So the whole "let's create viruses that murder the heck out of at least 99% of the population" thing actually makes sense: Spencer wants humanity to die off and make way for his superior master race.

Contrary to the movie version of Umbrella which keeps pumping out uncontrollable bioweapons because... reasons? I don't think anyone's actually going to pay for your shit after you turned the world into a bloody wasteland mainly populated by zombies.

For all the crap people like to give Umbrella, their behaviour in the games actually makes complete sense if you look at its leadership.

I know of their leadership, especially what Ozwell E. Spencer wanted. Doesn't make it any less dumb or maddening.

I like to think the only reason Umbrella managed to even stay afloat as long as they did is because their legitimate pharmaceuticals were sustainable enough to pay for all the labs, cities, and islands they had to torch.

There's no way all their BOWs were making them any kind of profit.

What do you guys think of the Ivy redesign?

It reminds me of the regeneraters from RE 4, which makes it way scarier.

To be fair, their healing spray can fix near-fatal wounds instantly.

I don't feel any different towards the new Ivies.

That said, I liked that I had to go back and burn them up. The ones in the hall got me while I was running from Mr. X.

I think something needs clearing up: You can't break the heels off high heeled shoes and get flats. They just don't work that way (if you tried to stand flat in broken heels your feet would be forced up at a weird angle).

If you don't have spare shoes the alternative is barefoot. Under normal circumstances that is a tradeoff, (as someone who's walked home both barefoot and in heels)...but if you've got an injured ankle or you need to do some running (say, from a tall guy in a fedora), you're better off risking the tetanus infection.

Yeah, the new ivies definitely evoke the Regenerator feeling.

Why do i feel that the latter Resis try to always have a similar creature to the regenerators? First the molded and now the ivies.

The molded isnt that tough tho. At least not the regular variants. A handgun can do the trick.

Ivies were around before the regeneradors.

Besides, to me the Ivies only got hard if you turned on the gas in the A-Scenario, which made them Poison Ivies in B Scenario. Otherwise they only hit semi hard without causing that cursed poison status.

Phew. Just finished part 5 of the Resident Evil Timeline covering Damnation, Parkside Chronicles 2, a random manga, and finally Resident Evil 6.

Man, this series got crazy.

And does Ada not care that she destroyed all the evidence proving her innocence?

I think it was more symbolic. With her clone dead, people would think she's dead as well. Don't forget that Ada always works for people we never know about, so I don't think she cares about proving innocence when she can work around it.

I suppose, but that seems like the kind of thing that could come back to bite her.

Although depending on how much evidence was there (in addition to both Chris and Leon giving conflicting testimonies though the latter has Helena to back him up) they may twig to the fact that at least one of them was a fake.

That's not a problem with RE but Capcom games in general. All these great ideas & they still haven't found the right person to execute.

In RE's case I can't think of better example than Ada Wong. 20 years since her game debut & are we any closer to know what her goal is?

Did Leon even know Carla was a fake? It's been a while since I played the game. Plus I think Chris never found out about the fake either since he never met Ada till Carla came along and he assumed she was Ada.

There's nothing implying that Leon even knew about that during 6.

Although I wouldn't be surprise if he eventually put the 2 together since he & Helena found process of Carla being clone/turned into an Ada clone later on in the series

No. Neither of them directly learned about the fake. As far as Leon and Chris know, during the course of the game, they met the real Ada every time.

But if all the information about what Simmons did is in the memory card Ada gave to Leon, then it's possible that what was done to Carla is in there as well, which could create some reasonable doubt about if they were actually dealing with Ada most of the time.

Resident Evil 6 is a game that turns out to have not been awful if you can get the full story but that was almost impossible with the main game as presented.

Also, Tyrano Simmons-Rex was kinda ridiculous.

After Chris punched a boulder, nothing really can come off as surprising anymore.

I would also like to say that I've never seen someone sabotage their chance at a promotion the way Piers did.

Man, some people just fear success huh?
