I doubt that they will stop any projects in which there has already been a lot of money and time invested and which are already well into production.
Though...there might be a possible place for Blue Sky. If they do well with this adaptation, they might put them on the notion of more Comic adaptation. Neither Pixar nor the Walt Disney studios can cover that area because the former is mostly known for its original stories and while the animation studios did Big Hero 6, it is so obscure that they could easily turn it into a Disney property.
Shouldn't they want for the last approval before accouncing this?
Mileena MadnessNew Fox executives announced. Their positions begin effective the closing of the deal.
Interesting bit: The current head of Fox News ad sales unit will take over for all of Fox's ad sales.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherIt's not over yet. - Zero X4. They still need approval by the UK, China, and selling off the sports stuff.
Mileena MadnessLooks like someone is preparing to make an offer for the Fox sports networks.
The bad news? It's Sinclair Broadcasting, a.k.a. Fox News for local audiences.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherWasn’t Murdoch keeping the sports channels?
Peace is the only battle worth waging. Not the regional sports networks.
"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherUrgh...hopefully there is a different offer, soon. Sinclair Broadcasting is scary.

Which is a little bit earlier than expected, but doable.
Could is the keyword.
Mileena MadnessThe leadership will consist of:
- Peter Rice - Chairman, Walt Disney Television and Co-Chair, Disney Media Networks
- Dana Walden - Chairman, Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment
- Gary E. Knell, Chairman of National Geographic Partners
- John Landgraf, Chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions
- Gary Marsh, President and Chief Creative Officer, Disney Channels Worldwide
- James Goldston, President, ABC News
Interestingly, ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox Television will operate separately for the time being (though they'll both be under Disney Television Studios). Odd.
Still no word on the film side yet, though I wouldn't be shocked if that comes in a few days or weeks.
On a side note, New Fox (the company that's keeping the unsold Fox assets) has named Hope Hicks (yes, really) as EVP and chief communications officer before the Disney unveiling.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherHope Hicks? The name rings a bell but I can't quite remember why I get a strange feeling reading it....
For those seeking context like I was, Hope Hicks was a former aide for President Donald Trump.
Not sure how to take this, but I'm leaning towards "uh-oh."
EDIT: Found this about her. Make of it what you will.

No wonder I felt frosty...remind me, why exactly did she leave the White House?
You know, this could be Murdoch doing Trump a favour to ensure that he doesn't block the deal in one of his fits. But then, I kind of don't care...Fox News is a cesspit anyway. Disney will hopefully hurry up to distance itself from it as far as possible when the deal goes through.

No concrete reason, but according to a New York Times article about her resignation:
Anyway...back on-topic. Judging by John Landgraf staying in his post when Disney takes over, it looks like FX won't change much.
I really hope he and Disney turn FXM into a full-fledged competitor to Turner Classic Movies, because with the acquisition Disney will have a classic movie library (they already own the Selznick International Pictures films via ABC) that they can exploit to appeal to classic movie fans. Hell, go further by showing classic Disney cartoons on the channel for the first time in years.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherHonestly, there is a lot of stuff on the television side Fox bought but never really utilised.
Fun fact: They own the Adam West Batman Series.
That's been brought up here a few times (Fox actually produced that series). Disney will want to milk that show for all it's worth on syndication and potentially Hulu (though WB's treatment of Batman lately has much to be desired).
That will make it less likely it will pop up on the DC Universe app anytime soon.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherI'm sure things won't change much even after the first few months of the deal. Remember the shifting of employees and management will take some time.
Mileena MadnessOn the film side of the deal, it's possible we'll get an announcement on that later this week, per Deadline.
As rumored, current Fox head Stacey Snider won't be staying, and Fox vice chair Emma Watts may take her position when Disney consolidates the studio (Alan Horn obviously can't manage Fox himself). Fox Searchlight and Fox 2000 executives are likely to remain in their posts under Disney.
"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherThat sounds like an awesome idea, but it sounds too good for Disney to bother trying.
What does Fox's classic filmography look like, anyway? Can't think of anything notable off the top of my head.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Depends on what period in Fox's history you're willing to define as "classic". Fox has a big back catalog, including stuff like Die Hard, The Sound of Music, Alien, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Wall Street, M*A*S*H, Young Frankenstein, Titanic, most of Shirley Temple's movies...

Yeah, Fox has a lot of classic properties...it is one of the oldest studios out there after all. And a number of past academy award winners, btw, even prior to searchlight.
In terms of Franchises I guess their horror franchises are most relevant. And maybe Home Alone....
It's a great comic, you should read it.
