ok now that i can actually sit down and do this

def, everything looks good so far. i have two things to mention in regards that are by no means a huge deal but related:

1. i'm aware that you go run around in the arena quite a bit, which is cool, but i want to make sure that you know that we're an interaction based game first and foremost. fights do happen but they tend to be on the side or otherwise Not The Main Focus of the game. your character choice looks fine to me as he sounds capable of sitting down and chatting, just wanna make sure that makes sense.

2. on that note, since we're a character interaction focused rp, i would like to see a little more detail in his personality section on your sheet! he doesn't seem like the type to go in fists blazing but it's good to know a little more so someone knows what to expect from him. if you could add a little more detail and let me know we'll go from there!

Hi there! c: I appreciate that you have read our rules and are taking steps to nerf this character a bit. A few items worth discussion:

• Galaxy's bloodthirsty/Ax-Crazy tendencies, while interesting, aren't very ideal for a first character. This game is pretty interaction-focused, and especially violent characters have a tendency to disrupt the natural flow of interaction. This is not to say we disallow them entirely, but we want to be very careful about newcomers starting out with characters like these.
  • Additionally, this bloke seems pretty well-armed; two guns and a knife, in the hands of someone with anger issues, is a potentially disastrous combination. It's likely that Galaxy, if he were to succumb to his anger, could end up killing or injuring someone, or being restrained and disarmed. At the very least, there wouldn't be a lot of reasons for others to trust him, and this would make it pretty difficult for him to make friends and stuff like that, which would probably minimize the enjoyment you'd be able to get out of this game.
• Kind of stemming from this, there isn't quite enough in his personality section. Even though this is a rather "casual" game as far as RPs go, we're still pretty structured. Ideally, we prefer the bulk of your character description to be in the personality section, since, again, our main focal area is interactions. Having a fleshed-out personality makes it easier for us to know what we're getting into, if that makes sense.
• Finally, just as a word of friendly advice for future signups you might make: It's easier for others to read to what you wrote if you format it correctly. This site is kind of of weird about that, and tends to smoosh everything down kind of flat even when when you try to space it out properly. To make bulleted lists and things like that (as I'm doing), click the little link below the post box that says "Show Markup Help". It may take a bit to get the hang of it, but it'll save you a lot of grief in the long run. Additionally, we don't use a password anymore; that's a relic from our old signup thread.

Terribly sorry, but I don't think this signup is the best fit for what we're looking for. I'd recommend doing some lighter RPing first, perhaps in some of the threads in Forum Games, before trying again. It'a a nifty concept and all, but I feel like you might need to hash some things out in a less "formal" and structured environment before you give things a go here.

That said, thank you so much for considering us, and please keep us in mind for the future after working on the things I discussed. c:

- Personality: Calm and good-natured. Tries to not let himself get intimidated, but will panic when negatively targeted with a lot of force, emotionally and physically. Enjoys friendly company, will help if possible. Loses most fears when a friend is threatened.

Wants to keep tension between characters to be at least neutral, but often doesn't know how to.

Prefers to watch from the sidelines rather than taking part in other conversations, unless necessary = (Fights starting, insults being thrown, an important talk, etc) Black forgives easily, as long as major harm/death and hurting bystanders weren't involved.

- Abilities (Can be either skills or powers):

• Regenerative Revival: (Will leave behind severed parts. Black's head is the main point for regeneration. If his head is destroyed, he can switch to another body part to regen.

He will die permanently if all parts of him are gone.)

• Ghost: (Seperate himself from his physical body when dead, but unable to last for long doing this.)

• Reflect: (Reflect most projectiles fired at him, but takes a deal of energy)

- Weaknesses:

• Fragiler than humans. Can get killed by a barrage of punches or K.O'd by three.

• Takes a while for revival to function. Damage to the body will slow down the process.

• Sometimes can't consider

-Black walks into the area-

Black: "Hey Light Green, hit me. I need to see what you can do."

-Light Green fires his own-colored bolts. Black reflects some of them, the rest sticking to him-

Black: "Huh, stings more than i thought."

-A light green bolt hits him in the head, decapitating him instantly-

-Black's ghost rises from his corpse-

Black: "That wasn't cool killing me, you know."

-He waits for a little bit, before going back into his own head. The head begins growing a new body. Black tests out his arms, and sighs a breath of relief.-

@Galaxycreeper: Sorry for the late response. I super appreciate your eagerness to adapt according to my suggestions, but I'm afraid it's still a no. Not to be harsh, but I get the impression that you're rather young and this just might not be the thread for you. That said, there's a number of other, less "formal" RP threads you could try. One suggestion is Enter the Arena As Your Avatar: The Spinoff. Although I can't accept your signup, I do thank you for your time and patience and wish you all the best.

@Shadowsyn: Nifty concept! Stick figures make me nostalgic for those old flash animations I used to see everywhere. This is a decent start, but I'd prefer more detail in the personality section. Again, this is an interaction-heavy game, and it helps to provide detailed info about this aspect of your character — think of it as the tool in your authorial toolkit you'll be making the most use of! c:

Here's an older signup (please pardon the unfortunate formatting of our old signup thread, yikes) that has what I'd call an ideal amount of detail in the personality section. You don't have to be quite this thorough, but hopefully it gives an idea of what we're looking for.

@Mobile Leprechaun: Thanks, but I don't think I can intiate a solid stance on personality. I just kind of consider it, run it through my head for a while, then reconsider. I do not know much about personalities and am unsure about my knowledge.

Then again, I am sometimes unable to be sure about stuff. I try doing 'maybe' or any other 'glass-half-full' methods but it just isn't enough. You may notice atleast an edit or two on my comments.

Stick figures had been the focus of my childhood life when I had almost or no access to popular games, and where even things that are simple to me now would be hard for a younger self. Now my interest for things just get jumbled alot.

I do not know whether sign-ups have been accepted, though.

frankly, it's concerning that you don't have a solid personality for black. the question about his usual temperament (is he hot headed? relaxed? what kind of guy is he casually?) is concerning as the game is almost entirely geared towards character interaction. the occasional fight does happen but just blanket "my character's personality isn't there/changes on a whim" (i apologize, i really can't tell what you mean to say there) is not a good indicator for your sign up. our game has a lot of continuity and not being able to rely on that may hurt your character's chances for good interaction

@Immortal Faust Alright, I guess i'll try to build upon it for a few or more times.

I'm not sure if I'd even finish it with satisfaction but my hype in a roleplaying room has died down as to not give myself harder grief. My confidence doesn't do much to help.

I'd stick around for some days before going on to do something else, assuming my character still doesn't get accepted.

unfortunately, i am unable to accept your sign up into our thread. we are interaction based and have a pretty longstanding continuity with characters building relationships between others and bouncing off each other, and telling us you don't really plan to stick around isn't going to work with this game.

if it's anything, i can recommend you try the arena, which is full of fighting and action and may be better suited for your character.

you are always welcome to stop on by if you wish to reapply later with a more personable character, but best of luck finding an rp that suits your style!

• Age: Young adult (Paladins characters have no canon age, though)

• Gender: Female

• Appearance: She is literally the Opposite Gender Clone of Pip but from an alternate dimension.

• Personality: Although Pepper is just as inquisitive as Pip when it comes to creating special potion recipes, she is also a huge party girl, as she loves dance music (specifically pop music and electronic dance music) and video games (specifically FPS, TPS, simulation, platformers, fighting games) a lot. This is easily shown by the fact that she never leaves her home without her portable music player, headphones and sunglasses and her casual use of gaming lingos. She is also a very outgoing and fun vixen to hang out with and will not hesitate to protect her friends at all cost. While she is a good fighter, she'd rather use words first to defuse a situation and only use violence as the last resort.

• Powers and Abilities:
  • Alchemy: Pepper can make healing and explosive potions on the fly, but unlike Pip, she uses actual real-life science to make them.

• Starting Equipments:
  • Remix Retroblaster: A potion launcher that launches explosive potions. Appearance here
  • Explosive potions: Ammo for the Remix Retroblaster. They explode on impact and deal damage to enemies through the combination of explosion and glass shrapnel
  • Healing potions: Allows Pepper and her allies to be healed by breathing in its fumes
  • Weightlessness potion: Allows Pepper to temporarily jump higher so as to escape from enemies more easily
  • Chicken potion: Allows Pepper to turn enemies into chickens
  • Music player and headphones: Pepper can't leave the house without her trusty music player and headphones

• Likes: Electronic dance music, video games, chickens, turning people into chickens with her chicken potion

• Dislikes: Seeing her friends get hurt, having the parties stop/music turned down

The only thing I'd like to see before I give you the go-ahead to join is a little more detail in the personality section. We're a bit particular about that sometimes, but mainly just because we'd like to make sure that your character is suited to an interaction-heavy setting.

Speaking of setting! We'll have the OP updated to reflect this soon enough, but our title is a bit outdated, eehee! What was once a room is now a rather expansive city. Don't worry, though, the spirit of the game is still intact, and we welcome any questions you may have about this. If you are accepted, we can get you up to date on it all in our discussion thread.

Just a few more details about how she relates to others and generally how she ticks and stuff. Even if there's not much canonically about this, some of the funnest stuff tends to come from headcanons, I've found.

Springhole has some handy literature on this topic. You by no means have to go quite as in-depth as they do here, but it could at least serve as some handy prompts to get a little more material out for the personality section. c;

Relate to others, as in?

heya there, taking over for mobile out of convenience.

we need a good idea of how well she plays with others, in a sense. our roleplay is heavily biased towards character interaction so a lot of the time in-game will be spent conversing with others, interacting in some form, and generally playing off others.

what we have now as a base (boiling it down to "huge party girl" for simplicity) gives us a general idea of who she is as a person, but "loves dance music and video games" is very generic. no one likes all video games and no one likes all dance music (e.g, from what you've said, i pepper wouldn't get much out of waltzing music, even though, by technicality, it is dance music!)

likes and dislikes are good and help give us a sense of the character but that doesn't tell us much about who they are other than that. if you give us an idea on how she is temperamentally (is she outgoing? more shy? hotheaded? cool as the other side of the pillow?) and how she acts, that will give us a good idea as to how she "ticks", as mobile put it.

if you can edit that in and fluff up that section more in that direction, we'll be happy to take a look at it then! hope that helps, and if you do have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

of a special note we've recently done some stuff and are now permanently in a town of a small-but-somewhat-nebulous size. there's not a ton of named locations at the moment but there is a forest outside of the town for sure. due to this, we've just recently made it a habit to put a location tag at the top of each post to make it easy to tell who's where at a glance. in the case you're unfamiliar with wiki markup, it looks like this typed out;

we're trying to make this common practice for each post so that people can tell at a glance where your character is and respond as appropriate (for instance, walking into a cafe)
