“Well, I say you’re doing a good job.” Alicia commented at Suzu with a nod of approval. “I figure—“
Thing was, Alicia was not paying full attention to the other side of the room. So when the smoke-bomb hit, she assumed the worst for a second: of course, this business meeting was going too well, someone was attacking! She leaned forward to get her arms planted for when they’d turn into claws and twisted her whole body to check out the incident... only to find a quick costume change. Well okay, she could respect that! Alicia clapped at the girl’s quick change, turning the split-second lunge into a casual elbow lean forward. She needed to change position anyway. It still derailed her train of thought, and she took a second to recenter and turn back to Denki Girl and Soma. “I’ll be fine to get down to business after the rehearsal. I’m accustomed to hard work.” She gave a little OK sign with her hand and smiled at them. “Anything else, or are we good to go get changed?”
Soma turned at the sleeve tug to find Denki acting cute and asking about teaming up. "Oh, yeah, a team up with Denki Girl sounds like it'd be fun." he said quickly. It took a little longer to consider that he'd basically just agreed to work with two girls who were already low key competing with eachother. "I mean, maybe-" Then Ann's smokebomb went off, totally derailing that thought Admittedly it was an impressive trick. Soma gave Ann a quick thumbs up then turned back to Alicia and said, "I think we're good to change. I'll see you after"
Meeting Room
Already being in costume, Denki Girl is a happy girl.
Squeeee~
She thinks a moment.
...am I...gonna have to work with the person who's not only said my real name but also flaunts her chest.
Yup! :D
Hu-boy.
Needless to say, she's ready to go!

Contracts
"Oooh, that could work," Danielle said, a big grin on her face. "Jules, what do you think?"
Meeting Room
"As long as none of these plotlines end up becoming a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, I'm all for it.", Jules replied. Anyone who knew Jules well enough would know why that particular play is something not to mention around her...
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Oh man, Alicia absolutely considered leaning more into it. Something about how she could make an even better display getting into costume if they had some alone time, but she’d already pushed hard enough. It was fine as is though.
Alicia nodded. “Yeah, I don’t go for coffee, so I may as well just go change now and meet y’all back here. Later, you three.” Alicia made a goofy show of getting up, twirling with a little hip pop, and blowing a kiss before heading out to go change in her car. Tinted windows and all that.
"N-No Masamune is slaved, not fully remote, but not independent eit...." Suzu started before she was cut off by the smoke bomb with a bit of an eeek, jumping back a bit before relaxing when it was realized that it was just an intro.
"Oh, you all are teaming up already?"
Meeting Room.
Considering the hypocrisy and the headaches in the room, Max didn't even bother acknowledging them at this point. Screw 'em. He could just simply wait for them to choke 'on stage' as they'd get knocked down a couple of pegs. Sure, they'd be in costume and it'd probably be hard to tell who's who, but...
FRICK. Costume. That's just gonna give these punks more incentive to just keep up the friggin Edgelord crap. Damnit. DAMNIT. But if I call HIM...
Max poked that plush of himself, getting even more frustrated and annoyed.
"...Whatever, how long do we have before we actually get the show on the road?"
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Meeting Room
Elena rolled her eyes at Ann's "trick". The amount of times she practiced that and she went home to a smoky dorm room....
Karen grinned at Jules and Dani's answers. "Well, that's that, then. Just finish signing up the rest of the paperwork, go take your coffee and breakfast if you need it, and meet us up on the seventeenth in an hour!"
August 25, 9:30 AM, HTV HQ, 17th floor, "Danger Room"
Solaris, now in full costume, stepped out of the elevator, hand on the hilt of her sword.
Now, the main office's 17th floor was quite a bit different from the others. For one, the elevator simply opened up to a vast open space, metal plating lining the walls, ceiling and floor, the entire floor a monotone chrome.
However, the giant room, nicknamed the "Danger Room" by it's supervisor, the A-League Hero Martilyo after a chamber so recorded in the Marvel Mythos (classic literature, studied in college), was equipped with not only cuttingvedge and nigh physics-defying weapons made by Martilyo himself, but also the very best holograms as invented by a genius Tinker Gifted from Japan who went by the codename Rei.
The room was designed not only for training sims, strategies and rehearsals for HTV's stable of heroes, but also sometimes to cut location filming costs.
Karen and Scott were already waiting for the heroes when Solaris got there.
"Hey, gang, let us just finish setting up. First up, we're going to run a sim of the park where we'll be doing the opening ceremony so we can rehearse properly. Then...well, we've got a bit of a surprise for you." Karen said as soon as they walked up to her.
Solaris raised an eyebrow. A surprise? She didn't like the sound of that.

"As long as it takes to make you squirm," said Bayard, signing his contract before getting up and walking by Max on his way out. His torn blazer was under his arm while Fluffy's gift was resting on his shoulder. He was a patient sort, not prone to teasing or smart remarks. But he couldn't help but needle the argumentative young man.

The years had brought only a few changes to Gamble's dark costume. It looked as it always did, all non-reflective and matte, festooned with his equipment belt. But time had brought more than a few improvements as well. Gamble had done his morning workout before he came to HTV, now he wandered around the room, getting in some last-minute warm-ups.
It paid to be prepared all the time. Especially at the mention of surprises.

Danger Room
Denki Girl has also made her way here, stretching.
Keep an eye out for that surprise, Light...
Haaaaaaaai~
"Well, we're still figuring out the specifics" Soma told the gynoid, rubbing the scaly back of his neck. "Anyway, I gotta change. So see you both at rehearsal"
Emerald Dragon strode into the room, bare claws clacking slightly on the floor and tail flicking as he went to make sure he had full range of motion for all his limbs now that he had his fake scale costume on, especially since a surprised was mentioned. Was this going to be like that KEU opening ceremony where they had to fight a bunch of paintball bots? Well, whatever the case as long as it wasn't televised before Soma had a chance to get into his heroic persona. For all the training that was still something that felt awkward to him. But putting on a show was the part that let them earn money for helping people, and that meant acting the hero part.
"Just let us know when you're ready" Emerald said to the O'Neils, then attempting to make good use of the wait he went over to where Denki Girl was stretching and, attempting put a slightly deeper and more confident tone to his voice said "So, what do you think?"
Danger Room
The faux engrish is back in full force. "Oh! It looks very nice on you! Very fit-ting!"
She grins, then does a backflip for good measure, a light trail of electricity following her feet. In fact, now it's more clear to note that her arms and legs are covered in a thin layer of electricity!
And to the especially sharp eyed, the heeled shoes are actually platformed to make her look taller.
Unlike her earlier Asskicking Outfit, Alicia's costume was plain by necessity. Just a black bodysuit with armor on the chest with a large helmet that partially evoked dragon-ness without directly copying it; like a gleaming steel stealth bomber, or a Yoji Shinkawa drawing, a lot of flat planes and sharp angles that invoked abstract ideas without directly looking like anything other than itself. The chestpiece and head hid a large part of Alicia's form, but still didn't leave much to the imagination on her shapely legs. With how weird the arms and claws of her dragon form got, she couldn't afford to put any boots or gloves into her ensemble without shredding them every time.
"Looking good. As much as I can actually look at you two in this mask." Alicia called out to Denki Girl and Soma as she approached them, slightly holding her helmet at an angle to give herself a better view; the thing was not made with a human head as its primary concern. She knew of them both from her days at KEU, and she was very good at remembering faces and names, but Alica had also never worked with them directly enough to remember their costumes. "Damn shame I can't look as snazzy as you guys without scratching the tile. Ready to cut a promo?"

That was definitely a flash of blue as Denki's skirt fluttered from the backflip. Fortunately the maneuver was quick so Emerald didn't have time to stare and add yet another guilty mental image to what he'd seen already this morning. Clearing his throat to keep from getting distracted, he returned to his usual tone of voice as Alicia approached "Thanks, been kind of worried it'd turn out too silly, really. But the designers seem to think kids like me will enjoy it" he said, flicking his tail towards Denki to illustrate the mutation meant by the comment.
"Still weird to think I'm gonna be on TV, but as ready as I'm gonna get" he said with a chuckle as he turned to the other draconic hero.
DANGER WORLD
Laz hated when the suit went on, it felt like being covered in liquid chocolate...eugh. He shuddered slightly as a scarlet liquid covered his body, before, with a red flash, Eon, the red streak of New Hope City stood there, his visor glowing crimson as he looked around.
"Secret? What? Is Boy Scout," He gestured to Paragon, "going to turn evil? No offense man, but beware the Superman and all that jazz."

Good to be backInto the DANJYA ZONE
Light, no, don't bat the tail.
But I wannaaaaaaaaaa.
...
You, shut up too.
"I'm pretty excited my-self!" Denki punctuates this with a small hop. "I wonder what we're go-nna be do-ing!"
Danger Room
Neil strut causally into the room, decked out in his relatively simple costume. Tight in all the right places, and his faced adorned by a mask. He adjusted his mask as he stepped up next to the others, crossing his arms as he looked around. "Well this is quite the... Place."
He looked over next to him to see another girl... Denkigirl was it? "Yo." He said with a slight smirk.
Danger Room
A person to distract her from the Somatail! "Hihi~. How're you~?"
Danger Room
Neil shrugged casually. "Nothin much really. Kinda bored here honestly." He began fiddling with his swiss army knife. "So what's got a cutie like you motivated to be a hero?"
Danger Room
Denki flails her arms in mock embarrassment. "[[gold:Uwaaaaaa, you think I'm cute! Thank you so much!"
She poses with a peace sign in front of her visor, winking. "But what else! I am the heroine of justice, fighting for love everywhere! I'm Denki Girl! What motivation do I need?" And accentuates this with another hop.
Danger Room: IT'S MAHVEL BAYBEE
Jules wasted no time in signing her contract after reading it in full, excitedly going to change into her hero outfit right after. Considering how it literally snapped onto her civilian clothes, this didn't take long at all for her to do. Making her way upstairs to the Danger Room, she was all ready to rumble, the joy in her eyes even being visible behind her visor.
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Danger Room
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah you're one of those heroes. Good to know." He chuckled a bit before continuing. "I guess we will always need those blind optimists among heroes, huh? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Well... anything completely wrong anyway."
Danger Room
Ann had still not pulled up her mask yet as they hadn't started the practice run yet, she was rather aggressively filing her nails which were currently a set of claws. "So how are we supposed to plan with your surprise? When it's supposed to happen do we just get a prompt saying 'surprise' or something? Not that I want you to tell me what it is. Ruins the fun of it if you do."
-dramatic music ensues-
Meeting Room
"Oh I don't need to go get changed into my costume. " Ann commented standing and grinning excitedly. "Check this out." As she strode to a section of the room where no one was nearby before throwing down a smoke bomb. A few seconds later, she strode out of the smoke with her costume one save for her mask being around her neck and gracefully flipped herself over the couch and back to her original spot.
"That little trick is really hard to prep for, as El can tell ya. But man if it doesn't kill at parties." Ann explained, her tone equal parts smug and joyful.
