EDIT: NVM, didn’t know someone beat me to this. Keeping my two cents in, regardless.
Maybe to see if the show is worth having on US television? But then SYFY had it for a while during the late time slot. In any case, great news for anyone without HBO Max accounts who want to support the show properly and not resort to dodgy methods.

Here's a preview of The Eat. Bang. Kill. Tour comic! Absolutely adoring these expressions.
Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)Harley Quinn is getting a 3rd season & a comic?
I thought they were done with the show? That's neat to know it's continuing.
I am curious what’s next for the show after some pretty big status quo changes.
Harley and Ivy are finally in a relationship & Harley and Joker are currently cool with each other.
Which I think is the first time the latter bit has ever happened.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The fact one thing or the other happen is intriging, the idea of BOTH happeing is waaaay more intersting.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Anyone check out the first issue yet?
Harley Quinn: Eat, Bang, Kill Tour #1
A pretty strong opening issue. It picks up immediately after the season 2 finale and offers a handy recap of what happened in the show. The writing was pretty faithful. While the only characters we mostly get are Harley, Ivy, Gordon, and Tawney, they all felt very in-character. Tee Franklin does a great job recreating the show's voices.
Max Sarin also gives the book a very cartoony and expressive look. It's not a complete recreation from the show, but I think they look close enough. I actually really dig how "animated" the characters feel.
The issue mostly just sets up the plot for the rest of the series. Harley and Ivy are being hunted down, so they're going on a road trip to avoid Gordon and have fun together. They're using the hideouts of specific arrested villains (Killer Frost, Livewire, Nightfall) to hide in-between. Nightfall stuck out to me, since she's a pretty obscure pick and I don't recall seeing her in the series before. I liked the detail that Ivy still feels guilty not just about Kite Man, but also indirectly causing the arrests of the invited villains. It's ultimately Gordon's fault, but I can see why she'd feel guilty. It should set up some good conflict for the rest of the series.

It's been 3000 years…fan service!
New theme music also a boxPlant dress, as expected of Ivy
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I love how like every single branch of DC Entertainment is at war, each trying to make the most lovable depiction of King Shark.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I haven't watched this show because I watch almost nothing new but a talk about it elsewhere has me intrigued. Some saying it's the best Bat cartoon since TAS.
What happened to Harley's accent? I'm not trying to nitpick, just wondering. Maybe she hasn't had it in anything except TAS.. I can't recall if she had it in The Batman.
It's interesting to watch how Ivy has changed over the years TAS Ivy was super horny but the TNBA redesign made her less buxom and then in The Batman she was a skinny nerd. And had zero relation to Harley but was Babs' friend. The Batman is underrated is what I'm saying. Anyway, she doesn't look as outlandishly titillating as she used to here, either.
Yeah, they basically completely dropped the femme fatale angle. Killing/mind-controlling people with a kiss is basically gone. It's mostly because Poison Ivy became a much more superpowered plant person than she used to so both she needs deadly kisses less and her ecoterrorist angle is much more played up than seductress. Not to mention now that there is a bigger focus on Ivy being gay, often in a relationship with Harley, so there's that. Plus the show is unapologetically feminist so they won't really play up the sexy aspect of all their female characters.
Still, I wouldn't really call it the best Bat show, Batman had basically nothing but good cartoons, not to mention that Tas and Harley are really apples and oranges.
Side note, you made me realize that there are two adaptations in which Harley and Ivy aren't close and in each of them one of them is best friends with Barbara Gordon. Bizarre.
Ivy is bi, she had a relationship with Kite Man.
I think Kaley Cuoco didn't want to do the accent the whole time, you kinda hear the accent when she visits her parents. Maybe this Harley tried to get rid of her accent to be taken more seriously and it only comes out in certain situations.
Huh wasn’t Harley voiced by another Big Bang Theory in the Batman and Harley Quinn movie?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, she was voiced by Melissa Rauch.
Heh wonder when Mayim Bialik is gonna get her turn then.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hopefully never.
@Overlord Yeah, I said gay when I meant that she's LGBT.
Unrelated note, I'm a little tired of constant statements about how Batman TAS is the best show ever. When I finally watched it, it was a combination of Hype Backlash and Seinfeld Is Unfunny.
Best part of the original Batman cartoon is the animation,it still holds up,and yeah its a little over hyped, but that's fairly typical for old cartoon at this point
New theme music also a box
Synergy with The Suicide Squad. It's the sort of thing that makes sense when trying to sell HBO Max subscriptions is Priority #1.
