By the way, I saw on the official Death Wish song on Youtube that a commenter mentioned that the devs said on the official Discord that "One main character will die in the DLC and never come back". From watching Seal the Deal, I think it's Cooking Cat. If you notice, while she appears in Acts 1 and 2 of Arctic Cruise, she's not one of the passengers you save in Act 3, and she's not in the lifeboats with everyone else.

So either I got really bad between my last playing this and now, or these are a massive Difficulty Spike.
Probably I'm just bad now.
I had a quick look and you can still see Cooking Cat on the spaceship. Though she's still repeating her old lines, so that could just be a missed leftover.
For better or for worse, I definitely think this DLC is designed for the hardcore crowd. The Death Wish time limits are very unforgiving, and death is not only highlighted but expected and punished (with time lock-outs and the like). Personally I think the Death Wish stuff could've been better executed — and it might've been a good idea to separate the Artic Cruise from them, as it forces a player who might just want to have had 'more Hat in Time' to grind through the ultra-challenge mode.
As to the Artic Cruise, I enjoyed it on the whole, but found the second and third chapters (of three) a bit frustrating. I didn't have too much difficulty completing the third chapter in the end, but that one had a lot more... I clipped into weird places, the game punted me out somewhere because it knew I had gone into a weird position. My experience wasn't bugridden or anything, I wouldn't say, but it was a bit finnicky. Of the story missions, running around exploring in the first chapter was probably the best bit, and the Purple Time Rift, whilst still challenging, I found a lot more up my alley.

They've made a few nerfs to both Death Wish and Arctic Cruise's second mission since this came out. They got rid of time penalties for most Death Wish missions except bosses and Rift Collapses, unlocking Peace and Tranquility mode is done with Pons instead of Yarn, and Arctic Cruise's second mission was made a little less hectic and had the 20 tasks you needed to do cut to 18.
Oh, and mods were reenabled.
I still haven't finished Arctic Cruise Act 2 though.

"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"So I tried Act 3 of Arctic Cruise and it was really hectic. It was hard to tell from the little time I played with it so I'll have to ask have to ask, is there a time limit in this stage? Like does the Ship get slowly filled with water or gets increasingly tilted/destroyed? Also, are there any points of no return in this stage, because it's pretty mazelike and i really want to try and get everything.
The time limit doesn't kick in until the very final segment (with an on-screen clock no less,) but otherwise I think the only point of no return in the stage is the one where you crash the boat in the first place.)

So, um, there's co-op now.
Somehow I missed that for months.
And it's buggy. :<

The GFB official Twitch had its offline splash screen updated. Looks like DLC 2 is gonna be announced on the 25th of this month!
looks like shes about to drop a sick beat
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaI haven't even finished the first dlc yet. Not that I expect the number who've had to reach the triple digits, some of the contracts are fucking brutal.
Tbh I just did the Cruise and ditched snatcher to gather dust in his corner.
And here comes the announcement:
It is, indeed, the next official DLC. 10 new time pieces in all, apparently.
Also included is an Online Party feature:
- Friends: Play in groups of up to 50 players by entering a group name!
- Public: Play with 3 other strangers who can see you, but cannot affect you!
- Use your new stickers to communicate as emotes!
- Mess with eachother! You can hit, explode, shake and play catch with eachother, and more!
- Clear Time Rifts together as your progress is combined!
yooooo the production quality for the metro thoooo
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaThe animation on the Nyakuza Boss is smooth. Like, movie smooth.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.nyazuka vs mafia of cooks when
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaYOOOO THEY KNEW WHAT WE WANTED AND UPLOADED THE NYAZUKA MUSIC
I was reluctant to buy the new dlc because I didn't want to get any of the new cosmetic stuff until I unlocked all the stuff from Seal the Deal, so that they would all be next to each other in my inventory. Well guess who just defeated the second boss rush and unlocked the last Seal the Deal outfit on the same day Nyakuza Metro released! Also defeated the Mafia Boss hitless after over 300 tries.

Congrats. I still have a lot of Death Wish stuff to, theoretically, do — I'm not really intending on 100%-ing Death Wish because, oh geez, but still hoping to beat up the amped-up bosses at some point. I think I'm at 50 contracts/bonuses done.
I did grab the DLC, and at this point I've completed it. I blew through it fairly quickly, but still, I had fun. I also tried out a bit of the co-op — it was fun, although I don't really have any friends with the game to play with. I've been looking for an excuse to replay the game, so I might start a new game as Bow Kid, now that that's an option. I don't think she has any mechanical differences to Hat Kid? But like I said, been looking for an excuse.
Tell me if any of you lot want to try co-op.

How do you start a new game as bow kid? do i need to own the new DLC?
It's a special option unlocked if you've bought both DLCs (Nyakuza and Seal the Deal) and have beaten the game once. When you click New Game, you can start it as Bow Kid instead.
It's no major loss — I don't think there are any dialogue changes or anything, it's just Bow Kid's model takes Hat Kid's place in cutscenes.
God it is so crazy comparing the intro of The Mafia Boss cutscene to the intro of Nyakuza Metro. The Art Evolution is so extreme if Hat Kid wasn't there, I wouldn't even think they're the same game.
Also, I'm kinda amused by the fact that Cooking Cat isn't seen on the life boats in Seal the Deal is lampshaded in an incidental conversation. She apparently has an in-universe TV show and for that episode, appears alongside everyone else for the closing vignette. An NPC breaths a sigh of relief after hating being left hanging on that. XD
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"What's the difference between the regular Time Pieces and the Time pieces with the ring around them?
The ones with a ring around them are Manhole Time pieces. They tend to be gimmicky similar to time rifts
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.
It looks interesting to be honest, I'll have to play it when I get free time in a few days.
