In today's Detail Diatribe, Red and Blue talks about Dragon Ball's Super Saiyan.
That was fun. I have a bit mixed feelings on the fact that at points Red is almost.. apologetic? About praising Dragon Ball? But I'm probably reading too much into that, one doesn't make an hour long video about something one isn't passionate about.

Might as well use this as a spring board to propose DBZ rewrites :P. (Or rather, Z/GT/Super rewrites)
- the first out be a what if Z ended at the Freiza saga, with the advent of the super saiyan. Well then we do another time skip to almost where GT's status quo where the only starting change would be that Maron is Ret-Gone...
- Because that status quo will be where the Android, Cell and Buu arcs take place. With a story focusing on Trunks, Gohan, Pan and Bulla around their GT ages instead of Goku and Vegeta. (and some time-shifting so thing things makes sense. Maybe a Tures expy will fill in for Future Trunks in this case of the Androids and Zamasu arcs). In which case this new generations of heroes would fend off new threats and will have a focus on one of them training to become the next Super Sayan (which one it would be is left for you to decide, but personally I can see it being Gohan, Trunks or even Pan in this scenario for similar but different reasons). Goku and Vegeta would be active but in a more limited role (and the former is still an adult) and mostly as mentors, with the Buu arc being where they return to prominence (mostly thanks to Vegeta) alongside the next generation of heroes.
- We then skip most of the GT content to a different take on the evil Shenron clones, which would also double as way to bring in Battle of Gods and Super's additions to the lore with the revelations that the Gods of Destruction (still Beerus) wants to destroy out out of fear that the Super Saiyan would usurp him, followed by Resurrection F and finally Super which will see the culmination of the newest Super Saiyan's character arc at the Tournament of Power.
All of this means I shunted half of Z into GT's timeline, removed most of GT's own arcs and also shunted Super's timeline into after GT, while focusing on a new generation of heroes like Toriyama seemed to had intended with Gohan (he didn't have much to do with GT IIRC). thoughts?
This is oddly fitting.

Im surprised she didnt go into the whole "Pure of heart could also mean Pure of Malice, evil, Melacnholy or any of the other different flavors. They touch a bit on how Po H peeps can do harmful things but that doesnt exactly match up.

When I hear about a nature god seeking revenge, my imagination immediately goes to things like the forests swallowing his kingdom and his people being swarmed by wild animals. This is much more insidious.
