KNIGHTCORE

Scarecrow Knight, seemingly genuinely surprised for once, wheeled backwards, dodging the wrench blow, and vanished, appearing behind the dummy. Laying his hands on it, was puzzled to find a complete lack of response.

"Damnable thing," he muttered, then gave up.

He appeared back in the commentators' booth. "Y'know, fellas, this just is a real rumble, y'know? I certainly know. Tell you what would be real exciting... if we had squires here. I'm thinkin' of calling up some of mine, maybe see if some friends want to tag. Add some real turf wars. Know what I mean?"

Arena

Rabbit Knight groaned as the Hydra rocketed forward. Having been behind it anyway he was out of its path but this thing did not quit. However it didn't take long for the near-permanent smirk under his helmet to reform as he bounced back up into the air and grabbed onto the overhanging ledge where he'd left Snowball.

The rabbit sat, the tip of a carrot resting in its mouth. Rabbit Knight briefly paused and gave a polite nod before dropping back down, trying to aim his lance right at whichever Hydra neck seemed closest.

HYDRASSASSINATION

"I dunno about you, Hype Knight, but this isn't looking pleasant for either side! Squires at this point might only arrive in time to be a cleanup crew!" Quad Knight replied to Scarecrow Knight, placing his hands over his face. "I can't watch! This could be it!"

The Knights had, together, sort of converged on the Hydra. Witch Knight's drill had pierced the heavensHydra's back, and after the scales the rest of the thing was pretty vulnerable from the inside. Its claws, similarly, were always secondary to its dozen heads, and Starry Knight handily smashed the thing, causing it to fly off balance and go into a spin—unfortunately, in the opposite direction of Witch Knight, slowing her progress! On the outside, Rabbit Knight and Tank Knight met the behemoth head-on, and between the two of them had that thing locked down. The Rabbit's spear and the Tank's blade had sunken into the monster, and held it fast.

"It looks like they're deadlocked! The Knights have met the Hydra all together and neither side wants to budge!" Quad Knight smashed his face into the table, shattering it. "THIS IS ANYONE'S GAME! THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING!"

"Down!!" The Squires had the practiced coordination that only drones with no identity of their own could have. As Fairy Knight and Night Knight attacked with... actually pretty similar tentacular assaults, only four actually fell. The others saw in time and hit the deck, fighting the attacks off with knives and swords. However, hitting the dirt limited mobility enough to make Drake Knight's hook and slice all too easy, and down went another goon. Seven more Squires remained, and Tag Knight actually reached them at this point as the only one of them without a ranged option. He cut one down with Sketchcalibur, and quickly whipped up a barrier of paint to block crossbow shots from two of the other knights, which meant that four of them were focused on protecting their lords' realm. Drawing their crossbows, the Squires opened fire on Fairy Knight and Night Knight, trying to draw their attention or at least get them to stop their shit.

Card games

Sun knight tapped his finger against the table. "Hit me." He replied, watching the dealer's hand carefully for any signs of foul play while at the same time turning up his back lighting to an almost blinding degree to attempt to hide where exactly he was looking.

Eternal Forest's Edge

"Fools." Fairy Knight raised her hand, and a large flower-shaped barrier formed to block the crossbow bolts. Her vines lashed out again, wrapping around the bolts before they could fall to the ground.

"Take back your worthless weapons." So saying, Fairy Knight's vines flung the bolts back at the Squires, which flew even faster than if they had been fired from a crossbow.

HIT HIT HIT!!!

Sun Knight received a Nine of Diamonds! Insight Knight tilted his head and chittered slightly. Despite having no face, the Knight was pretty easy to read. He seemed distressed.

"After this game would you lot care to head outside?" He asked. Oh, maybe this was why. "There's quite the squad of enterprising Knights on their way to mess up our good patron Cash Knight here and I would certainly... love to keep using this place."

It's Blackjack-O'cLOCK

LOCK KNIGHT took some time looking over his cards. Deep rattling 'hmmm's and 'hawww's echoed from his LOCKed up helmet. As soon as the other two (2) KNIGHTs got their new card additions, the stammering stopped.

MY UNIQUE ABILITIES ALLOW ME TO SEE THROUGH LOCKS, LOCK KNIGHT thought to himself, smugly. IN CARD GAMES, WHEN ONE (1) ACCUMULATES A GUARANTEED VICTORY, IT IS TRADITIONALLY CALLED A LOCK. The cards that both Insight KNIGHT and Sun KNIGHT held seemed to vanish out of LOCK KNIGHT's vision... Only for the intense backlight of Sun KNIGHT to shine through, unbLOCKed.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH." LOCK KNIGHT raised his arms to cover his helmet, to minimize the, hopefully not permanent, blinding. "I FOLD."

Drake Knight yelled an order, and Arravelia landed next to Tag Knight with a thud, growling at the remaining squires to back the hell off. If the fact that most of them were dead, along with the other powerful Knights there being ready to slaughter them, the dragon was hopefully the cherry on top that would make them run.

Her rider ran over and pulled himself onto her back, strapping himself into her saddle, before extending a hand to Tag Knight. "Get on. You ever ridden a dragon before?"

Arravelia snorted. "To spare you the long speech, just hold on tight and you'll be fine."

Good news for the Witch Knight, she managed to penetrate into the literal belly of the beast through its back, furthermore,it seems like the hydra is tame enough to be domesticated for transportation back at her place. Bad news for her, good news for everyone else, the hydra's close to dead.

She wiped away the stomach acid from her armor and rub her chin, thinking of the next plan. She couldnt exactly carry the hydra to her place, let alone while other knights are battling it. She thought about hooking it up like a fish with her swand and stow it away but she reckoned that the weight would be too much.

...

"I wonder if this hydra can do a fart so huge that it can blast off?" She said to herself, as if questioning her own idea.

She shrugged, pulled her witch hat down to cover her face, charged up her swand with air energy for a while. And release at the bottom of her feet.

Starry Knight crashed into the Hydra's chest just as Witch Knight exploded out of its back. She fell, thinking as she did so that the Hydra looked even more put upon than she did. Good. All she needed was the liver. This fight was going about as expected—

She hit the ground. The air exploded out of her lungs and she sputtered, choked, and then gasped in a mouthful of dirt. Sand stuck to her face around her mouth and eyes where it had gotten in through the cracks in her helmet. Starry Knight rose, clutching her hammer, and stepped forward as bravely as she could. She couldn't limp. Knights just didn't.

"For the Starry Realm!" she yelled, as much to get the Hydra's attention as to buck herself up. "In the name of the Observable Heavens, your life is forfeit!" She bent her protesting knees, meaning to jump, but the fall had knocked more than just the wind out of her. She couldn't summon the strength of Cow Knight with her mind distracted by pain. Instead, she bounded forwards, bringing her hammer up and sideways like a baseball player for a killing blow aimed directly at the Hydra's exposed chest.

Hydra d'etat

It was time to finish this with a bang. With the Hydra locked between the general Knight crowd, the cannons slowly protracted just enough to protrude from their holes, point-blank.

"HELLFIRE!" Tank Knight roared, and let the three front cannons rip into Hydra's body, unheeding of any other Knights in the way.

Arena

The Taproot Slicer pierced the Hydra's body, Rabbit Knight hanging down from the handle. He clambered off onto the Hydra's neck and pulled up on the handle, carrot falling away and revealing the Slicer's sword form. He jumped onto one of its heads and sprung into the air before plummeting back down to earth, sword first, in the Hydra's general direction.

The Eternal Forest

The soldiers finally fell to the squad of Knights, and Tag Knight simply nodded and mounted up with Drake Knight. He was struck a bit dumb by how dangerous they had all proven to be!

"Hit me. Tie. We are all of us in serious danger right now." Insight Knight didn't make any pretensions that he wasn't cheating at this point as he got an Eight of Diamonds and revealed his King for an even 21 matching Sun Knight. He twitched his head to the side and tapped the table. On cue, the waiters swept the cards aside. "There is a... I might say a posse of Knights approaching the Casino Knight Zone. I would like your assistance in... repelling them. Cash Knight has drawn unwelcome... attention." He chirped again. "Fairy Knight. Drake Knight. Night Knight. Tag Knight. Um. Trench Knight, maybe. We will be outnumbered, severely, but it will be for a noble cause, and as you know everyone loves an underdog."

The previously mentioned posse now stood at the gates of the Casino Knight Zone. Nearby the Realm it was twilight and faded into true night as one entered the Realm proper; the whole place was lit up though, in an admittedly glorious spectrum of ambers and golds. The city itself was of the finest materials, slick stone towers with real glass in every window; even the crappiest home was hot real estate. Cash Knight's home was atop the highest skyscraper of the Realm, a castle known as The Vault, but between the squad and their target not only were there numerous Squires of Cash Knight all throughout the city, but the Lucky Knight Casino was in a direct intercept path as well. How they intended to prevent the killteam from just flying over to The Vault remained to be seen.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYTHING LEFT AFTER THAT STUNNING DISPLAY!!" Quad Knight struggled to see through the cloud of smoke, dust, bloody mist, and powdered bone that was the remains of the Hydra. The valiant Knights had slain the beast, and in so doing were free to reap the rewards. Little bits littered the field, and parts could be readily harvested if the Knights so chose. "Hype Knight, what do you think of all this? You think it's even safe to get down there and get any interviews?!"

The Eternal Forest

The blaggards made their move! And outnumbering the other Knights! To Trench Knight, that was just unsporting. Though he could understand their pragmatism.

Making a move and stomping his way over the trench, the green-armored Knight made his debut by smashing into the rearmost of the squires. If they wished to play fair, then let their treachery pay the price! Hammer high, Trench Knight brought the hammer head crashing down on a brass squire's helmet and butted his shield into the others in the line.

Which was anticlimactic since those he was smashing were... Upright corpses. Feeling quite sheepish, Trench Knight replaced the helmet he'd knocked off of one and shuffled his way back to Kitchener and his dugout.

Casino Knight Zone

Arravelia followed Fairy Knight and Night Knight as they flew away. Normally it would have been a very foolish decision to fly in or above the Eternal Forest, but thankfully, it appeared that the rulers of the realm weren’t bent on preventing passage, and the trio managed to follow the other Knights out of the forest.

After a short flight, it quickly became apparent that Tag Knight was not used to riding dragonback, and Drake Knight had to stop him from falling off more than once. But eventually, they reached their destination, and the posse hovered outside of the gates.

“So how do we want to do this?” Drake Knight called down. “We can go for a straight assault- I doubt Cash Knight is prepared for all of us. There are a lot of Squires in our way, but given our numbers, they probably won’t be able to handle all of us. I don’t see anything stopping us from simply flying over the walls and heading to kick the shit out of Cash Knight, either.”

The dragon in their group snorted. “I’m guessing magic. That, or Cash Knight simply wasn’t expecting an aerial assault.”

Outside the Lucky Knight Casino

A side door opens, and out of it flies what appears to be a large assortment of bladed weapons. The pile of weapons, Blade Knight lands on the ground as the door shuts. Blade Knight then stands up and begins to bang on the now closed door, his voice echoing from inside the blade-armor.
"How dare you! Those blades were mine!"
Blade Knight's pounding quickly changes into furiously hacking at the door with axe blades.
"You did not best me in combat you honorless cur! You have no right to them!"

Cash Knight's Realm

"Of course he cannot best us." Sneered Fairy Knight. She had led her newfound companions to the domain of the greed-minded fool, and now they stood ready to strike him down. "Such splendor does nothing to stop the assault of those who can't be bought."

She fluttered her wings and gestured to the Vault, sitting atop the tallest building, a monument to arrogance. "I shall fly, and you are welcome to follow. We shall throw Cash Knight from his tower and show him how worthless his gold truly is."

So said, she began to fly towards the Vault. As a precaution, she kept a large barrier in place below her, in case any would-be defender tried shooting her from the ground.

Tank Knight, Yaaaay

"Victory be mine!" The massive tank thundered triumphantly as it pulled away from the remains of the beast and whatever Knights were still there. "Take what you want from the beast, valiant fighters! The satisfaction I have achieved!"

Operation: Casino LOCKdown

"I WILL CERTAINLY ASSIST IN THIS ENDEAVOUR," LOCK KNIGHT eagerly exclaimed. "NOTHING IS WORSE THAN HAVING YOUR HOME ASSAILED SO I WILL STRIKE DOWN THOSE FOUL INTERLOPERS. HAIRY KNIGHT, RAKE KNIGHT, WRITE KNIGHT, BAG KNIGHT... EVEN THE DASTARDLY WRENCH KNIGHT WILL LEARN TO FEAR THE MIGHT OF LOCK KNIGHT."

As LOCK KNIGHT's impressive frame rose from his barely functioning chair, he stood still for a moment. "...WHICH DIRECTION ARE THESE FOUL INTERLOPERS ASSAILING FROM?"
