Litchi became pretty controversial around the Continuum Shift era because of her actions in the story. Chris, being somewhat more understanding of her situation, didn't really like how people treated her for her decisions yet championed Terumi, who at this point was at the height of his popularity.
Chris resented that everyone was so quick to throw Litchi under the bus, but treated Terumi as he was god's gift to the world when he found him horribly obnoxious and overplayed.
He essentially just didn't like how people didn't really care about Litchi like he did, while they rallied behind the characters he couldn't stand like Terumi.

And then people find Terumi overplayed instead. Then Izanami comes in and she turns out to be a mixed bag.
Then Susanoo comes in and he's the new hot shit.

That's a pretty good summary & I still don't think there's anything wrong with liking her.
Hell, I still think people give her too much crap on how she handle it.
Still doesn't really change that Chris was still over reacting about situation but I guess can't really blame him either.
I'm most certainly not one to talk about it, but that doesn't really change the fact that people should be called out when they're being opinionated.
Is Homura that one chick that looks like the anime school girl version of Data Masamune?
