Tropers: The Series

After the credits, we cut to a scene outside the recording studio. A small crowd of people are gathered around an open coffin. They are dressed as mourners, but not one of them looks very mournful. Behind the coffin, there is a large memorial banner:

In front of the coffin, stood behind the kind of elegantly carved wooden podium that gives anyone speaking at it an air of authority, is... Sherson D. Pringles IV. He isn't even missing an arm.

"I was, ah, a great man. I would have been the greatest mayor Troperburg has ever had, I'm sure you know, had it not been for, ah, the depradations of the Taco Badger campaign. Now I'm dead. And it's their fault. So, ah, can you please all beat up Badger for me? Thank you."

The audience remains stony-faced.

"Now, ah, I'm afraid I have a lot of being dead to do. So goodbye."

Sherson climbs into the coffin and pulls it shut. There is a moment of dead silence, then his muffled voice comes from within the wooden box.

"You, ah, have permission to mourn now."

In place of "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" is a title sequence with a familiar synth tune...

Season 8, Episode 2: Tropesberg Gets Even Stranger

TROPESBERG, UNITED STATES
January 2021

The scene opens on the Troper's apartment, around midday. Custard is underneath one of the apartment's light fixtures, a toolbox perched on top of their head.

"Uh, isn't this a little much? It's just flickering lights, all you need to do is buy new bulbs and change them."

Tropes sits off to the side, reading the paper.

"Yeah, and what happens again a few months later? More flickering. I'm sick of band-aid solutions."

Mad is sitting on the couch reading a book. The title of the book changes rapidly, most likely due to Mad's unpredictable fuckery.

"Oh, m8 and I's apartment has a flickering light in it too. I'd change it, but I'm afraid I'll screw it up, and m8 would have to help me, and then we'd never hear the end of the 'how many Mads does it take to change a lightbulb' jokes."

Knife walks into the apartment, carrying more lightbulbs. "I am still under the opinion that we should just get rid of light bulbs. That shit's antiquated! Why don't we just turn the walls into huge LED screens?"

"Then we could get a constant stream of pornography on the WALLS! You have the right idea, Knife."

"See, Knife is finding real solutions. The worst thing to ever happen to this town is us not being able to build her designs."

(Chey and Ford come in with big boxes of light bulbs.)
"We bought a shop's entire supply."

"Nothing about this sounds enjoyable."

"Mad, why don't you just do that in your room?"

"I still don't get the point of porn. Like, you're watching other people hook up while you sit there alone. Pathethic. Honestly, I think we should phase out sex in general."

"A bold idea! You know Knife, you should run for mayor someday."

"Hey, I like the lewd stuff! I just don't broadcast it in the living room!"

Bee comes into the apartment with a new look:

"I wish I could do that, Custard. But... y'know... I share a room with my evil clone and everything..."

"I swear to God, Mad, if you're watching porn with your evil clone..."

"Looks good, whatever, gonna fix the lightbulb or what?"

"HELL naw, Knife. That's like watching porn with your sister.

...also has no one even realized anything different about me today? Anything at all?"

Mad has grown a head of hair, and possesses a more rounded and feminine body. She sports a dress and an overcoat, with long socks and heels.

"Hmmmm...something's different about you today. Wait, I got it! Mad, did you finally get your pineapple genes surgically removed? If so, can I have them?"

Knife is also sporting a new outfit, if we're doing all this now.◊ Their blue and red hair is pulled up in a shorter ponytail than usual, they've got a new brown leather duster fit with safety pins and buttons to accessorize, baggy torn jeans, red converse, and a collar fit with a tiny glowing monitor. They've also seemed to have given their cyborg wings a new polish.

"Oh, congrats Mad! By the way, if you ever do get those pineapple genes removed, you know to give them to me. Alright?"

"Congrats, Mad!"

"Heh, thanks, guys." Mad blushes a shade of yellow.
