Tropers: The Series

I think we forgot about that nerd army.

"Probably, but doesn't that tie into our lesson for the episode? That lesson is that sitcom technology makes everything better and sitcom characters have terrible imaginations."

I quip back, "By the way, didn't Urkel gain a bunch of permanent technologies throughout Family Matters? Like a cool/nerd machine and an actual goddamn teleporter."

"Oh, and the Winslows' apartment became a house with no explanation. No one cared."

But the nerd army is still coming and they plan to destroy our apartment.

"Are you absolutely sure you never want to change the apartment back?"

"Okay, fine, I'll make us poor again." I get a program from Sam and fire at the money. It becomes an old woman.

"Eh, close enough."

"Won't people start questioning why like 15 people share a one bedroom apartment and can't afford anything bigger, though?"

Taco shrugged. "No one questioned it when we were actually too broke."

He sits down on the old lady, and drinks a beer. "So, what was the lesson today, Sarysa?"

"That audiences are always better at using technology than sitcom characters. No wonder we're in such dire financial straits."

"Very good."

Episode Five: The Tropers Rob a Bank

I burst down the door... again, this time with a ski mask over my head.

"WOOOOOOOOOOO Y'ALL KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS?!"

Taco, eating a bowl of cereal, sat on the apartment's old lady, turns to Bev. "Oh shoot... what that today?"

I'm already wearing a Richard Nixon mask. "Wait, TODAY was skiing? I thought that was Saturday?"

"Independence day?"

"IT'S INTERNATIONAL SKIING DAY!!"

"Bev, I'm sorry, we didn't get the funds yet for the tickets to Ski Mountain. I know you were really excited for this, but we just don't have the money for it."

"No, that's Saturday.", I quip. "Today is definitely the day we ro..."do the thing"." I give an obvious sitcom wink.

Sam the Cricket groans, while donning a mask...of a cricket.

"Wh... What?"

She is incredibly crushed by what Taco says, dropping the ski mask to the floor.

"But I was looking forward to this all year..."

"Oh yeah, we were going on a picnic! Yes, of course, it was definitely a picnic and not a robbery or anything - shutting up, sir."

"I traded in my subatomic reconstituter for a bunch of guns. Here they are." I pull the sheet hiding a wide assortment of tommies, handguns, and assault rifles.

I grab a tommy for myself. "I love the classics."

With obvious nervousness, adds, "You know...for shooting ducks at the picnic?"

"Of course. I'll go get the, er...picnic basket."

TropesForever leaves and returns with an actual picnic basket

"I made vanilla cake! Well, I bought vanilla cake."

"What are you guys doing?" Bev asks, curious.

I do an audience obviously loud whisper to Bev, "We're going to rob a bank."

"Oh!" Suddenly happy, she puts on the ski mask again.

"Okay!"

"And go on a picnic. Come on guys. Don't forget the picnic."

"Did someone say picnic" runs into the room

I chime in, "Can we go on the picnic first? It'll be hard to relax with the cop...ducks harassing us."

Meanwhile, Sam the Cricket collects a bunch of electronics, obviously intending to play the role of the hacker.
