I swear, if they put in GT Kid Goku over DB Kid Goku, I am gonna be furious.

But they kinda are.

I mean...GT Goku can fly.

Say what you will about Injustice but even they knew to put a limit on the Batmen.

Well it helps they weren’t literally bringing in more Batman.

Y'all shouldn't have used that Monkey Paw when you asked for Kid Goku.

Now that GT Goku's been revealed, who do you think his thematic counterpart will be?

Calling Evolution Goku as a fellow alt-canon Goku

Probably another GT character, either Pan (with Giru as a helper) or Omega Shenron.

Or just like last time, anothed Vegeta.

We had Videl with Jiren, so i wouldn't be so sure.

It's certainly not the first Dragon Ball game with multiple versions of the same character.

Hut it does seem like this Kid Goku is a mix of Dragon Ball Kid Goku and GT Kid Goku.

They had a lot of characters from the Batman series though.

Yeah that’s why I corrected myself in saying it’s not an exact 1 for 1 situation.

One minute of silence for the burial of the only fighting game that used to refuse GT.

There goes my motivation to play this game.

I mean why wouldn’t they use some of the most well-liked parts of GT?

Everyone does it, even Heroes has been giving every Saiyan SS 4’s.

Yeah GT was inevitable.

Up until this announcement, Fighter Z was the only Dragon Ball game completely free of GT's influence. It's tainted now.

I'm ok with it the more i think about it, since it's a compromise for those of us that wanted Original Kid Goku.

I still would have preferred Dragon Ball era Kid Goku though.

I certainly expected Omega Shenron at some point.

@Kid Goku not flying: the various games typically sidestepped by having nimbus spawn under him the moment he takes flight.

As for this, I’m not super thrilled that it’s GT Goku instead of regular Kid Goku (Kid Goku has a significantly more interesting move pool, GT Goku has zero potential for Dramatic Finishes and such, plus if we’re dead set full of repping GT one of the villains would probably be a better pick), but I’ll get over it. Should still have some interesting moments.

If the theory that this season is themed pans out, I’d love it if this means we get one GT character and one Dragonball character (two ends of the series’ chronological spectrum).
