(As we continued forth from Orichalcum to the ramp back into Agartha, the sky became increasingly darker and darker, until we managed to arrive near the ramp at near-sunset. I ask Tilly:)

Will we have to talk to the guards again or can we just head down?

(I also give Marsha a look that says please, just don't go any further.)

*Teller nods to the departing Decidueye* 'course, I'm not the client, I'm just a middleman. *he grins, before adding* Pull this one off and I'll find you some good connections, with a light commission, of course.

*Teller then waves Grigori out*

*Tilly shakes her head* The guards are there to keep the peace and watch the farms. If they wanted to accost us, they would.

Well...lets be back on our way, then!

(I suggest, offering Marsha my hand as I prepare to descend back down.)

Right behind ya...er...beside yas, Marly! (Marsha says, taking Marlon's hand and continuing on. Benji and Dinah continue behind them.)

(After some time following the various pathways and on back down, I turn to our group:)

Well, I imagine that Triss would be preparing dinner for us soon.

Or Doug... (Marsha says.) He's a great cook, just saying.

Marsha, that's my thing! (Benji chuckles.)

Sorry... (Marsha says, also chuckling.)

So...um, what are the beds in the mayor's house like since I assume you all have slept in them before? (Dinah asks.)

Oh, I think yas are gonna love them, bookworm! (Marsha says.) It's like sleepin' on Altaria fluff!

*Tilly smirks at Marlon's statement* If mother were to cook, I would set us all up at a nearby restaurant. You can imagine why...

Heh, of course. How could I forget your dad's cooking, Tilly.

(I chuckle all the while saying this. We continue on, eventually getting close to the mayor's home:)

So uh, heh...who wants to knock?

(Marsha knocks before anyone can say anything else.)

Heya, fellas! We're back! (Marsha calls.)

(Benji shifts back into his normal Swampert form before anyone comes to the door.)

*Tilly grins* It's my house too, you know. *as she manipulates dirt to roll open the door, not unlike what Doug and Triss have done* I suppose father might be out at the moment.

(Marsha, Benji, and Dinah step in.)

Seems awfully quiet in here right now, just sayin'. (Benji comments.)

David is mercifully remaining asleep, though Mila's shivering has turned into quiet sobs as she can feel the pillow under her face growing wet. She feels absolutely terrible for everything that's happened, every mistake she's made, every time she tried to make her own decisions.

"It's— it'sall my fafaullt... I *hic* I shhhould have given up... *hic* an—an now... I don't know! I *hic* never knew..."

I hear PJ's comment and respond with one of my own. "Hey. Guess who turned from a decent person back into a flaming pile of shit? This guy."

*meanwhile, over at the bar, Jani must have had a little too much to drink...because she begins to hum a certain tune. Said humming eventually becomes low volume singing, which evolves to moderate volume...and stays there, at least for now. She alternates between looking at her 1/4 filled glass of vodka and Andy as she sings...albeit with a slightly more assertive tone and a much higher Diglett pitch*

*Teller doesn't quite know what to make of it, but he realizes that he can finally understand Jani's thoughts — certainly can't keep this going and obfuscate them, after all*

(I ask nobody in particular. I peer over into a nearby guest room and see Mila pretty much crying her eyes out.)

(Dinah is unaware of this and simply sits down to go back to her book. She's almost done reading it.)

*Tilly simply remarks, nowhere near the guest room and thus not in earshot to those deep inside* I'm simply not adequate at handling that level of grief. It would be better off for everyone, Lilly included, if I cracked open a book.

(Dinah looks up from her book just in time to see this.) Wow, Benji! Nice! (She says.)

Heh, thanks... (Benji chuckles. He clears his throat and begins speaking in his alternate form's voice.) There...I bet I'll surprise everyone when they come out to see us now...

I bet... (Dinah chuckles as she sets her book down. She looks at the book Tilly is reading.) Hey, it's one of those books you were talking about earlier...

Huh. What are those books about, anyhow?

(I ask, trying to make idle conversation.)
