ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

Heh heh...I don't know what some of those things are, but I'm sure there's somethin' like that around here. Come on! (Marsha walks up to a sandwich stand and orders a large Kelpsy Berry sandwich.)

(We seemingly walk on thin air until we reach the Zoroark. Once we get to her she jumps up and down and claps.)

All right! Ya did it! Some people just leave at that point! But ya did it! (The Zoroark snaps her claw and suddenly, the oceanside landscape vanishes and we are standing in front of a desk in a small wooden room. The Zoroark is behind it, and a large door labeled "Enter here" is to our left.)

I'm June! Pleased ta meetcha! Welcome! (June excitedly shakes all of our hands.) What ya saw there was just the beginnin'! There's more through that door over there!

(It doesn't take me long to understand this game's ebb and flow. I walk towards this door, waiting for the others before I open it.)

*not really shifting around much, the horizontal Diglett states* I guess Digletts always land on their feet, and now the wall is the floor. I mean it's kinda pushing down on my head a little, but I can probably just chill here all day. *she grins*

TWO MINUTES FOLKS!! *the Rotom-W barker barks*

"Yeah, he was really short, angry a lot, punched me a lot..."

She looks to the Machoke. "Oh yeah! Yes please!"

The Machoke sighs and opens the gate leading to the ferris wheel for them.

"In here."

"HRRRRK IM STILL HUNGOVER IN GONNA HURL!"

Starts rolling around.

(The three of us also head to this door.)

Be carefu-, I mean...have fun in there! (June says. Out of our sight, she slips into a hidden door behind her desk.)

(In this next room, we suddenly find ourselves in a (likely illusionary) open field surrounded by very tall grass.)

(June suddenly pops out of a hole in the ground.) It's a maze, okay? Ya hafta get to that sign over there! But it ain't easy! The path forks, see, but only one direction gets ya outta here! The other...does somethin' else. No pressure, okay? Good luck! (She disappears down the hole.)

....Uh...which way do we need to go? (I point to the forking path ahead of us.)

I think we should go right. (Delilah says.)

Left? (Benji suggests.)

Marlon? (I ask.)

"Damn it. I lost everyone again."

50/50, so I say we take a right.

(I state, turning myself in that direction.)

Still? That was so long ago...but I guess I'm just biologically different now. I get drunk fast and suffer the consequences just as quickly. *Jani states*

*she then gets an idea* Hey...if you're gonna roll around, and this is probably utterly stupid...want to have a race? *the horizontal Diglett asks of Phil, then puts down a 25 Poké coin* First one around the "wall" wins! Ready...setgo! *Jani starts moving along the cylindrical wall*

Noriaki simply stands nearby the ferris wheel, waiting for the people on it.

"Curse my tendency to lag behind...", he muttered to himself as he looked at the scenery around him. He saw assorted stands of different games with assorted Pokemon running and engaging in them.

I float towards a tree with the Carnival Sign on it. "Maybe someone will be there? Even if they aren't Niles or Marlon, it will be nice to have someone around..."

Mila walks up to the ferris wheel, sticking close to Finley as she does so. She remembers hearing that this sort of thing was supposed to be romantic, but she never quite got what people were talking about back then. Maybe she'd figure it out now.

"Maybe we'll be able to see Gleamscape from up top there. I wonder if it's like Silversand... hopefully with 100% less VA."

(The three of us do so as well.)

(After walking through a winding path for about a minute, we reach a dead end far from the sign June directed us towards.)

Oh great...now we have to double back. (I say.)

No ya don't! (June's voice says. Suddenly a door opens to our right. At the same time, the floor suddenly tilts up in its direction so the four of us go spilling through it.)

Whoa! Oof! Eep!

(Now we're in a (still likely illusionary) cave. Three carts on tracks sit in front of us.)

Noriaki notices Mila approach the ferris wheel and makes a slight waving gesture.

I float really quickly to the carnival, so fast, that I "brake" right next to a cotton candy stand and nearly damage it.

Wha-

(I take a slight tumble into the cave. I reflexively look up when I land.)

So we get in those? Two people in one?

(I get in to one such cart.)

"HEY WAIT!"

Rolls after Jani, catching up to her.

Hold up there! (June says, suddenly appearing from behind a rock.) Only one of those is gonna take ya outta here! The rest lead to CERTAIN DOOM!! (She says the last part in a very deep voice.) ...Well...okay, not really, but only one of them is gonna get ya closer t' gettin' outta here. Ya just have to answer two questions correctly. If ya get them both correct, the right cart will be the only choice. If not, ya have ta make a choice!

(June picks up a card and points to Marlon.) Since yer so eager ta take a ride, I'll ask you these questions. Here's the first one...which is considered a Spicy berry? Tamato, Oran, or Wiki?

Mila waves back to Noriaki with a subtle gesture, not wanting to call too much attention to herself in the crowd. However, it does make her begin to wonder how they'll all group up again after this. They'll probably figure something out, with Koss right outside.

(Thinkthinkthink...aHA!)

(I state, confidently.)

*Phil quickly passes Jani, a little over 1/4 down the centrifugal track in spite of her head start, though Jani tries desperately to catch up* huff...puff...shows me for challenging a ball to a race, huh?!

Yanno, it just dawned me there are no seatbelts anywhere...I guess it makes sense, but...pretty crazy, huh? *she says as she continues along the track, determined to at least finish it*

(That sounds all too familiar…) "You guys want us to catch the next car so you can be alone?"

"... Ahm... yeah, I would actually appreciate that. Mila and I need some alone-time outside of a room for a change." Finley says sheepishly.

"Alright, have fun." (The interrogation'll have to wait…)

Great! That's right! (June says. She walks over to the cart Marlon is in and puts a paper with an "X" on it on top of it.)

Okay! Next question! (June says, picking up another larger card.) Kelpsy Berries...Lum Berries...huh? ...Wait a tick, this is Grandpa's shopping list! How'd that get in there?

(She tosses it aside and picks up another card.) Okay! Here's a good question...what island is the town of Sandy Winds located on?

(I suddenly realize that she just named a town I've never heard of. I look to Delilah and Benji, and judging by the looks on their faces, they don't seem to know what island this town is on, either.)
