ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

>I look at Lady Castien. I bow to her, before saying,

"Hey, aren't you the evolved form of an Espurr? Tell me, how do you evolve?"

Castien directs her gaze to F. "Wanting to grow up fast, are we? Well, I just kept doing new things until I was like this, I guess. I'll be honest, I don't know how I evolved, but I was adventurous as a tyke, and I evolved before my more introverted friends. Maybe that means something. Anyway, I assume you're here to meet Jimmy?"

She catches a glare from Agibalt, and corrects herself.

"I mean our leader, Ser Daunting?"

*I land before Castien and wave at her.*

"Hello there, I'm PJ. My friends and I heard that there was a shipment that was supposed to go to a nearby town that got hijacked, might you know anything about that?"

[I don't bow. I'm not sure I want to bow to someone I may be defenstrating some time in the future. May be. (Not gonna lie, it would be kinda cool. Hypothetically cool; like stunt double, fairy glass, and a cushion at the bottom kind of cool.)]

[Also, PJ, I don't recall you telling me this. That does make me wonder, what kind of shipment was it?]

"Um, can I ask that, what the, um, shipment was exactly?]

Upon hearing PJ's reasoning, Castien's cheerful expression almost immediately switches to that of anger and she slowly turns to Agibalt, who looks scared for his life. "Agibalt. What did you do?"

"W-Well we saw a merchant passing by and realized we were short on food, but we were also short on money, so we stole the shipment..." He says, looking down at the ground for fear of looking Castien in the eyes. After hearing Eliot's question, he talks again. "food and jewelry"

Castien sighs and points up the stairs. "Take them to 'Daunting' before I rip his head off."

"Yes, Lady Castien..."

"Deh-Daunting? Wh-what is that? What, what just hap-pened? Oh no... This, this is g-gonna be bad."

"Ripping off head? Is this not bad thing to do?" Gilbet looked concerned.

[What the hell? Well, this is interesting. Maybe I won't have to defenstrate this Lady Castien (who reminds me of a Ruth, I dunno, she seems Ruth-y; considering she slipped with the name of this "Daunting" character, I really wouldn't doubt it)...maybe it'll be this Agibalt guy instead.]

"Look who's in trouble."

Gilbet...

She turns to Gilbet, still upset. "Gilbet, did you have anything to do with this?"

He shook his head repeatedly. "Nyet, nyet, nyet! Gilbet had nothing to do with this."

She glares deeply at him, trying to scan for lies.

"Are you sure, Gilbet?"

Agibalt turns to the group, still absolutely terrified. "Sh-Should we go now?"

"Da. Gilbet never cause trouble... or at least he does not intend to... Please do not hurt me, mamma!"

[Um, okay, this is getting somewhat uncomfortable.]

"I..." [I step forward.] "Shouldn't you be showing us to Jimmy instead of...this?"

Her face drops from anger to plain disappointment. "... Go find the shipment, Gilbet..."

Agibalt absolutely loves what Eliot asks, and replies quickly. "Yes, let's go!" He makes a mad dash up the stairs, not really looking back. But when he reaches the top, he does turn and look back at the group expectantly.

[I throw Giblet a bone and follow him up the stairs, giving Lady Castien a suspicious look as I pass by her.]

He flew quickly up the stairs with no comment.

So no scuffle happened? Phew. I was always just... unsympathetic towards rogues. Perhaps unjustly.

"I've always disliked rebels as well. Unless if they're Team Skull or the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5, they're cool."

"Team skull was funny."

"Yeah, especially Guzma."

"Who's Guzma?"

"Oh, Guzma was the leader of Team Skull in Pokemon Sun and Moon. He was freaking comedy gold." I attempt to make a Guzma impression: "It's YA BOY GUZMA!"

"Man, I really want to play Sun/Moon someday... Too bad I don't have the money, and also stuck in this world"

Name rings a bell. Bug user, right? Too bad both my types crush Bugs.

"Speaking of rebels, aren't the ones in Star Wars pretty cool too?"

(I'm also relieved that it didn't come down to a fight )

Sun and Moon...yeah, I remember that. I even had a Goodra in the game...and now I am a Goodra...
