Uh, I don't think I did.

The soldier opted to speak up again. "I wouldn't stick around out here too long, if I were you. That elevator takes about five minutes to get down, and five minutes to come back up again. If yer in a hurry, you can probably catch the next one. I think it's still loading right now."

Err..right. Come on guys!

(I begin moving towards the elevator at a fairly brisk pace.)

*Voxno-! proclaims* Don't wanna be late! *and gets itself inside an elevator, opting to float near the ceiling because gravity and force*

Andy shrugged. Still doesn't look that cool yet.

However, as it quickly became apparent, these elevators - of which there were only two - instead took up pretty much the entire cylindrical chamber, with no ceiling to speak of, and moved up and down by huge cogs. And even at the size they were at, they were getting particularly crowded; the party may have been forced to budge and shuffle through.

(Only way from here is down, I guess: as I work my way to the elevator, wedging through the crowd.)

*Voxno-! blushes, remembering that what it perceived as a ceiling didn't move along with the elevator itself, and tries to wrap itself around one of the railings instead*

I quickly get in the elevator.

Dana managed to squeeze herself into the elevator. For once she was thankful that she'd gotten smaller.

"Maybe a couple of us should stay behind and wait for the next one. The first group would have to be incredibly patient waiting for us, though..."

(I too finally squeeze my way through to the elevator, feeling slightly squished.)

Andy crawls past people's legs, into the elevator.

"Or I guess we could all squeeze in..." Finley muscles her way in, with a "sorry" here and a "sorry" there.

As predicted, they barely got to the massive elevator in time; it started clunking its way down into the caves almost immediately after they first got on board, passing more lamps and metallic rings on the way down.

After five minutes, it stopped at yet another metallic chamber underground, this one with shiny marble floors, and a series of fancy-looking, slightly Art Deco doors in all directions with 'TO CITY - ENTER HERE FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION' written above each one. The crowd on the elevator quickly began to disembark from the elevator and headed straight for the doors.

*Voxno sobers back to its Unown-V form◊ as the reality of its situation kicks in. when the elevator comes to a stop, it makes a stoic yet cautious glide into inspection*

Belladonna: "I say, this is shaping up to be quite the place already! Is this your first time here too, Paddy?"

*I shrug as we proceed to the doors.*

PJ: "Well, this is my first time on the island in the first place..."

Belladonna: "Ah yes, you did mention that during your training. Though, I must say, you were rather vague about it..."

*I feel a sharp terror stab at my heart as she says this. She couldn't have figured it out, could she?*

PJ: "What does it matter?"

Belladonna: "Oh, Paddy, you know you can be open with me! There's nothing to worry about, you can elaborate if you wish!"

*I'm still uneasy, but her answer gives me some relief.*

PJ: "Well, what else is there? Just got here last week, not much more to say."

Belladonna: "Hm... Well, I suppose I'll not press this further for now. Just remember, if you want to talk about it, I'm always willing to listen."

''*Belladonna giggles, and I still can't help but feel on edge now. I never told her about my human origins, but the way she's acting... Does she know something's up? Or is she just being playful?*''

(I ping Vox with what can pretty much be described as a general observation, given our situation.)

You, me, and everyone else here should be really careful here. I don't know what it is but I can't help but feel as if they know what we're really up to.

"what the FUCK is UP BITCHES thats right i been here the whole time."

It would seem as though one of the doors still, miraculously enough, has nobody waiting in line for it. As the only way to get into the city is through these doors and past the examination, the party would be wise to take advantage of it.

Oh, guys! We can head through that door there.

(I point towards the door that doesn't have a line behind it.)

*by some miracle of luck, that happens to be the door Voxno-V went through* Intriguing. I did not expect to be first in line. *Voxno approaches the clerk*
