Well, that's just it. Manaphy's had a...a bad history with Dragon-types to say the least, especially Goodra. You could even say that he outright hates them. He had a very bad experience with one. If he came in here, then he probably got sent to the dungeon...for life. Except that's actually my wife in there!

You mean he put me (or who he thought was me) in prison just for showing up...and put my friend Benji in there too just for bringing me here, over a grudge?

Rational thought and the prince never got along, just saying.

Finley quickly runs in front before they can leave.

"WAIT! No, doesn't anyone else see? If we clear it up, he'll switch them back sure, but he'll throw Goobert in the dungeon instead!"

Lets recap again. If he is in such a rotten mood, then to calm him down, we should somehow sing to him, as was our original intention.

(I stop.)

But that won't get rid of his grudge against Goodras will it?

What did a Goodra even do to him to make him hate them?! (I cry, throwing my flippers in the air.)

(I then try to assure Goobert.)

Andy searches through the palace for a hallway guard.

Okay...(I say, continuing up the stairs.)

(Several moments later, a door with two Ludicolo guards around it appears.)

Okay, Goobert. There's the door. Just act like you were acting before again.

Ok... (I go up to the door. The guards notice us.)

Hey, it's Belle again. Come back to calm the prince down some more? And you even brought Bryce?

Yes. (I say.) I heard he had quite the shock yesterday, so I figured he'd need help. The others have clearance.

Well, go right ahead! (the guards open the door.)

(Stepping inside, we find a mostly water-filled room with a single wide violet walkway leading up to a small pedestal. Floating above it in a bubble is none other than Manaphy.)

Wow... (I gasp.)

Finley follows, careful to blend in. Upon meeting the Manaphy, she suddenly feels herself... bizarrely angry.

Like, incredibly angry.

"Let's get this over with..."

(I remain steadfast as we enter)

*Speedy cheekily whispers to Bryce* I can keep a secret! I'm 8 you know! Hi Mr Prince! Sorry we're late, we met these nice people!

*Mauveine is simply getting a dark thrill at watching the mess unfold as they both enter with their parents*

Andy finds a Goldeen standing guard.

He walks up to the Goldeen. "Excuse me, sir, the lady Belle has asked me to escort a prisoner. Could you point me to the dungeons?"

The Goldeen solemnly pointed down a hallway. Go there.

"Thank you very much, good sir!" Andy walks toward the dungeon.

[Meanwhile, I nervously retreat inwards, my hands clasping together and hanging in front of me, my tail swirling around my body, slouching, head tilted down...this isn't going to be a fun encounter. Not in the slightest...]

"It's fine, Light, really. Gosh, feels like it's been forever. When was... Actually, have we even spoken in the first place? Feels like we really should've talked earlier."

*Something about Light's mere presence and the electrical hum they give off puts me a bit more at ease. Just a bit, though, the thought of what I was actually going to do still has me on edge.*

"Okay, okay, sorry about that, Mila. It's just like... Since that last battle in Orichalcum, I've been getting into more and more fights, some with opponents I've willingly provoked. And like, it's weird, before this I hated the idea of even hurting someone without violence and suddenly I'm making a game out of how many adversaries I can drive to their knees, pleading for mercy in between pained grunts and bloody coughs before I refuse them the mercy they so desperately desire..."

*I begin to enter a trance as that last sentence continues on, enrapt just thinking of the opponents I've bested. Fortunately, I snap out of it and realize what I was saying.*

"Aaand there I go again, shit. I, I mean, I haven't killed anyone, I always made sure they were still alive at the end, but what does that matter if I'm still beating people up? And the, like, the thing I said earlier about why I was here... Well..."

*I take a deep breath and nervously blurt out my next sentence.*

"IwasgonnaambushyouguysandshootsomeonewithaDazzlingGleamsowecouldallgetintoabigfightorsomething!"

(Okay, that's over and done with. Well, time to let the distrust spread.)

"Y-yeah, so... If you want, I can just leave when we're done here so this never happens again."

I place my arm in front of me, ready for something to happen.

Mila seems shocked, to say the least. However, after a short silence, she leans down towards PJ and speaks to him with a commanding tone of voice.

"Look, we're not going to leave you. As soon as we're done here we're going back to find Koss, alright? He knows what's going on with the Viral Agression, so he'll help you, okay? Just... don't do anything rash. That includes running away, got it?"

After making her stand, Mila finally releases PJ and tries to massage her temples.

What are we going to do? It sounds like the plague might be spreading to us, too. Everyone else got the drink from Koss— but not Light! If only we had some of those berries left. We need to find Koss as soon as possible!

I give a moment to think of a reply to PJ

"I uh, well... Heh, uh, was too sh-shy to talk to you before and stuff. You kinda seeming like the "l-leader" of the group or whatever. So um, yeah. I do not believe we have spoken much before..."

(At Speedy's outburst, the until-now asleep Manaphy's eyes burst open and the little guy begins looking around in confusion until he sees us.)

Belle! (he chirps, floating down to the ground. He comes out of the bubble and waddles up toward us.)

You here to sing, yes? (he asks.)

Yes, my dear prince. (I say. Despite my calm tone, inside I am freaking out. "I'M GONNA MESS UP AND MAKE THINGS WORSE!")

Okay, okay! (Manaphy says, leaning up against me.)

(I feel that I should probably start singing, a feeling that's confirmed by Manaphy looking up at me expectantly. I look at the others nervously. I begin humming the first tune that comes to my head.)

Hmmmmm-mmmmm-mmmm-mmmm... (Manaphy smiles, but he continues looking up at me.)

You should probably use some words, there, bud. (Bryce mouths at me.)

(I swallow nervously.) Sooomeday...when we are wiser...When the world's older... (I'm still fairly nervous, and kind of weirded out. I continue to sing though.) when we have learned...I pray...someday we may yet, live to live and let live...

(Some time later, I finish the song. Manaphy seems happy.)

Never heard that song before. I liked it.

Great. (Manaphy seems very relaxed now. I turn to the others.)

Nice work, Belle.

"Yes..." [I remember to get back in character, though I do it with a degree of reluctance.] "Good tune...would that be a...oh, dear, what was that song again?"
