Bumping into Noriaki, Marlon and Goobert, Finley takes a bit to process what Goobert says.

"JANI'S HURT?!" She shouts out, suddenly panicked. "WHERE IS SHE?!"

I lead Goobert, Noriaki, and Finley to the direction I came out of. The others are around Jani as the Emergency Force tries to work.

Absolutely horrified, Finley begins following Marlon. "Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod..."

She doesn't really get better once she arrives on the scene, rushing towards the others.

"JANI!! WHAT HAPPENED?! IS SHE OKAY? IS THAT BLOOD?! HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT!! JANI!" The look on terror on her face only grows as her fears are confirmed, tears beginning to well up. "Is she going to be okay?!"

It is paramount that we stop the bleeding. Diglett anatomy is a bit...perplexing, even to an investigator of my standing. Attempting to apply a tourniquet would also cut the blood flow to her brain, so our only option is to bandage the wounds.

*meanwhile, the emergency services trio (Blissey, Blastoise, and Excadrill) only just now pass the guild, their response time woefully inadequate for incidents occurring at the slums*

"Finley, Finley!" I say as she begins clawing her way to Jani, grabbing her shoulder.

( I quickly run up. At the sight of Jani's bloody injuries, I suddenly find myself feeling faint.)

Oh...oof. ( I splat against the side of one of the buildings and slide down.)

[I set my slushie down beside Hotoke's husband.] "Look after this, will ya?" [I then run for the others...just what the hell is going on?!]

Noriaki seems rather distraught at the sight of Jani's injuries himself.

"Who... Who could have done this?"

He then takes note of Finley's panic and tries to hold her back, gently though, not too much force.

"Calm down, Finley. We need to stay back, let the professionals handle this for now."

Finley finds herself pulled back, keeping a good distance from the scene. "Holy shit, holy shit..." She turns around, looking back at the group. "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"I sensed a Delcatty corner Jani. He asked Jani where he could find a Psychic-Type in our group. I think he was looking for me..."

I will attempt to find the emergency responders.

*and with that, Voxno-V heads back toward the boardwalk, hoping to catch up with said responders, like the Wartortle*

Given the destruction that took place, echoing throughout the whole city, the Silversand Police Department showed up pretty early by their usual slum response time standards. A squadron of Electabuzz, riding a Magnezone like it was a dropship, soon touched down, accompanied by an Electivire; presumably the one in charge of the group, if only by seniority. They soon spread out around the crime scene and began to set up barricades, cordoning the place off. One of the Electabuzz officers approached the group gathered around the injured Jani. "Arcsdamn... is everyone safe over here? We've got a citizen wounded!" he said, calling out to his comrades.

Meanwhile, Raumati, shrugging, decided he'd follow this Smeargle, just in case he got lost. There was... something about him that seemed interesting.

Kevin spots the Unown appear.

"Hey, are you with those guys? A Raichu ran up to me and said that somebody was injured. My dad's in the Emergency Force."

(At this point, I have fully passed out into the ground; mortified by Jani's injuries.)

*Voxno-V informs the Wartortle* Indeed, there is an injured Diglett about 20 meters this way. *and then leads him to Jani*

*meanwhile, ACTUAL emergency services (fire/medical) are 3/4 the way there*

*meanwhile (again), smoke's coming out of the window from one of the buildings near Jani on the second floor*

"Hey, what's going on?!"

[I just about collapse beside the others as I screech to a halt, noticing how shocked Finley is. I look around...and I notice the cracks along the ground and buildings... Was there an earthquake...oh, shit, did someone get hurt?]

"Hey, how are you do- what the hell? Are you okay, Jani?"

"Officers!", I motion to them.

"I had a vision of this entire scene happening, and I know who attacked Jani. Can I project the image to you? It won't be of the best quality, so I'm not sure if you can pull much.."

Kevin arrives on site. He has the bandages in hand.

"My dad is on his way with his co-workers. I'll see what I can do initially."

"ELIOT!" She shouts, turning to her friend.

"J-Jani is... is..." Unable to say more, she simply points to the crime scene as she begins completely bawling.

As Eliot got closer to the others, one of the Electabuzz cops tried to block his way in. "Sir, I'm going to have to advise you not to pass these barricades. It's not safe here."

Meanwhile, the one who had approached the group directly turns his attention to the Gallade's declaration of evidence. "You do? Uh... I assume Jani is the Diglett down there, is that right? Uh... hold tight!"

He left for a moment, returning seconds later with the Electivire.

"Sergeant, this Gallade says he kept a psychic projection of the incident!"

"I'll believe it when I see it. Psychic testimony has always been pretty shaky at best..." the electric gorilla muses to himself. "Proceed, Gallade."

Raumati decides to stand back for the time being; no way is he going to spend another night in the clink.

Noriaki lightly pats Finley on the back and holds up a handkerchief for her.

"Okay, Officers", I say to them.

"I saw Jani leaped upon by a...cat. I cannot say for sure what kind of cat, there are many types of cat pokemon here, as you should know."

*Voxno-V telekinetically assists Kevin the Wartortle's efforts to bandage Jani, and simply remarks, somewhat quietly*

The response time is quite appalling... *given that fire/medical is still not here*

The Electivire sergeant scratches his head, as his subordinate records the information on some paper. "I see... is that all you know? Could you be more specific about the species, perchance? Persian? Purugly? Liepard? You understand, we can hardly suspect every single member of each species, let alone every single member of all of them. ...And what about the rest of you? Did you all arrive after the incident that transpired here?" he asked, beginning to sound a little irritated.

[My eyes grow wide. I lose my breath for a second. Is she...she's bleeding like...like crazy...is she...I have to see, I push past the cop and jump over the barricade, she can't be dead, she can't be—]

[I see her getting bandaged. Is that...is she okay? That's...that's what that means, right?]

[...I back away. I cross my arms, my head is pounding... I look over at Finley, bawling like crazy...]

[...I...I don't know what to do...]
