Sparring

Yeah! Nice one, Lucy! (I also say. Deciding to see if my idea will work, I begin building up energy within myself like before. Delilah looks on.)

(Lucy beams at the compliments she gets. Then she looks a little worried at Eliot's apprehension at her attempting to Copycat Transform.) What's wrong, Eliot? I can copy it, right? (She asks.)

The Shifter

(Soon, the boat is much cleaner.) All right, well done, everyone! (Marjorie says. She then turns back into Benji.)

Whew, sorry fellas. I just had tuh switch to Marjorie right then. I feel more motivated tuh clean huge messes like that up that way, just sayin'. (Benji says, shaking his head a little.) Now...we ready tuh do a little sailin'?

"It's fine, matey. I'm ready fer pointers, yeah."

As Snaptooth and his pirate gang reached the inn, a cold refreshing breeze blew over them. Lobstrike shivers from the cold. Snaptooth chuckles, his eyes back to normal.

Snaptooth:   What's wrong Lobstrike? Can't handle a little cold?   

Lobstrike:   I was born in the tropics, so this is still new to me.   

Snaptooth:   The tropics eh? Can't say I know what it's like since I've never been there.   

Eviscolar:   What? I thought you were from there Snaptooth!   

Snaptooth laughs.

Snaptooth:   I'm practically the polar opposite! I was born and raised in the cold waters of the far south, so I'm just as resistant to ice and cold as an Ice-type despite not being one myself.   

Salendra:   Wow, so that means you're just like me then!   

Snaptooth grins proudly.

Snaptooth:   Yep, I'm just like you. Now let's go and see what are rooms in the inn are like.   

The pirates enter the inn.

Road to Eluant Mountains

*as the party walks down the path, night continues to fall...getting darker, and darker, and darker still...very rarely they might spot a Combee here or there, scouting or foraging or gathering, but not bothering the treasure hunters. Eventually, the darkness gets to the point where species without night vision simply can't see without artificial lighting*

*the group is still well in the forest, heading further down the path toward the Eluant Mountains, L'Arachel's manor, the canyons...and nearing the border leaving Foxfell Kingdom. Sarah asks the group once again* Think we camp here? I mean...I can see great, but even I can tell it's just starlight remaining...

Marlon > Boat Cleaning

Awesome. Let's get back to the others...maybe spar a bit ourselves? Heh.

(I motion to Marsha as I head back into the sand in time to see Lucy, Eliot, Delilah, and Goobert all sparring.)

Stellan > Sammy, Delara

(Some ways further down from where the main treasure hunt party is Stellan rolls to a stop and motions for Sammy and Delara to hop off his back.)

Think we're far enough ahead of them...let's set up camp here for the night.

"Yeah, I suspect some of you might have trouble seeing in the dark."

Sparring

Sounds like fun! (Marsha nods.) You fellas have fun, okay? (She tells Benji, Salty, and Dinah as she hops off the boat and heads over to the rest of us.)

(While Lucy and Eliot talk and Marlon and Marsha walk up, I'm still building up energy within myself, trying to pull off my idea. I can feel the heat inside of myself as I do so. Delilah looks on.)

Boat

(Benji waves to Marsha and Marlon as they leave and turns to Salty and Dinah.)

Okay, let's get started! First, lemme just untie thuh boat... (Benji does so, causing the Shifter to start slowly drifting away from the dock.) Dinah, use the paddle to shove us off, okay?

Right... (Dinah pushes the boat away from the docks.)

Now we just hafta turn thuh boat around. (Benji says, turning to Salty.) You wanna do thuh honors, Salty? Just turn that crank over there to put up the sail on top of the canopy, and then reach up to the wheel on the roof to turn the sail into thuh wind. The wind should just spin the boat around without even havin' tuh use the wheel, just sayin!

(Benji motions to a crank on the side of the boat attached to the sail on the roof of the canopy (which is still lying down), and then to a wheel shaped crank on the underside of the boat's canopy overhead that manipulates the sail when it's up.)

Treasure

I'm good with campin' here. (Cam agrees, sitting down.) My legs are killin' me right now, and the rest of me is tired, too.

Salty nods.

"Aye-aye."

They go and turn the crank to put the sail up, then look for the wheel on the roof. Once they find it, they lick a finger and then attempt to use that to tell which way the wind's coming from. They then turn the wheel, initially turning it in the wrong way, but they quickly realize this and fix their mistake, turning the sail into the wind.

Well, I finally learned how to walk. Still have no idea where I am though. One clawed, blue leg sinks into the land below me, with little warning. I look down. Sand. Usually composed of Si O 2, usually in the from of quartz, though compositions may vary.

I blink. The statistics of the sand just flashed before my eyes, literally being seen for a moment as I looked at the sand. Another quirk of my new body, then. Though, I must wonder one thing: how on Earth did I suddenly find myself walking on sand? I'm certain I was walking on solid ground a moment before.

I retract my leg from the sandy pit it entered. Time to have a look around, and figure out how I ended up here.

Marlon > Marsha, ???

(I set my feet into the sand to get ready to spar. Even though I do feel a little wobbly on that leg most of the pain has subsided. I grin and give Marsha a thumbs-up.)

Okay, Marsh, you ready to...

(Wait, what's that walking in the sand over there? A Metagross? He seems a little confused...?)

Hey, buddy, you okay?

Beach

(Marsha is getting ready to fight as well when she sees Marlon get distracted by a Metagross further up the beach.)

Huh? Who is dat? (Marsha asks.)

(I start to say something upon noticing who they are looking at...only to wind up releasing the energy I had been building up within myself when I open my mouth.)

BLORRRRGHhhhh...!!

(Super hot and bright red sludge spills out of my mouth and onto the beach. Thankfully, I didn't hit anyone with it. I look down at it. Well...I guess my idea worked?)

Goobert, what did you just do? (Delilah asks me, looking at the mess I made in confusion.)

I was just trying to see if I could combine Flamethrower with Sludge Wave. (I explain, wiping off my mouth.) I guess it worked...?

It definitely looks like it... (Delilah says. Then she notices what I was looking at.) What are we looking at? The Metagross over there?

I...uh...I guess. (I say.)

The Shifter

(The Shifter slowly turns around and faces the open sea.) You're doin' great, kid, just sayin'! (Benji tells Salty.) Now we're gonna start headin' out into the water. You want to take the wheel? I'll move the sail and Dinah will take the rudder.

"Dunno, just curious. Where I'm from, kingdoms don't really exist anymore."

... What just happened? Whitney just had sudden clarity about who she was, but now it's gone again.

"... I think..."

Meanwhile, as the adoptive Braixen-Raichu-Cyndaquil family enters, Autumn stops by the welcome desk. "Hey, what room numbers are we?"

"Hmm, I think it's called 'Agility', but I don't remember too well. I guess it's a good thing that I don't need to know its name to use it!"

Mila smiles a bit, hoping that her attempts at humor would keep her mind off of what had been worrying her. Nevertheless, when they get back to the inn she notices the strange expression on Charles' face as he examines Whitney, almost hoping that something about her will tell him what's up with the events that occurred around her.

Where you're from... oh, I guess we can talk about that later, Whit. As for your room, Autumn, feel free to choose between rooms 234 to 241, I made sure that row was clear for your party. I hope you enjoy your stay!

"Hehe, yeah," I say, holding onto Mila's paw. Trying. I don't have anything to use as fingers.

[I chuckle at Lucy's response.] "I...well, I'd think you can, but I...I don't know if I..."

[For the moment, I'm somewhat entranced by the Metagross having an oddly hard time making it through the sand. I glance down at Lucy...is that some drunkard or...]

"Sure, matey."

They take the wheel and begin steering.

Beach

You think you'll get tired again, Eliot? (Lucy asks Eliot.) Maybe we can try just once? I wanna see if I can turn into a Gollypod or a Lapras again! (Lucy asks.)

(While waiting for the Metagross to react, I decide to try my other idea. I begin building up energy like before, except using Ice Beam with Sludge Wave instead of Flamethrower.)

(Meanwhile, Delilah uses Dragon Tail on a piece of driftwood, flinging it into the water. I give her a thumbs-up (as best as I can with only two fingers) as I continue building up energy.)

The Shifter

(With effort from the three on the boat, the Shifter moves along the water at a relaxed pace.)

What a nice evening... (Dinah remarks.)

Yeah... (Benji nods, turning to Salty.) You're a natural, kid! Just sayin'!

"Yeah, it's pretty."

"And thanks, matey. Glad I'm getting this. Gives me hope fer gettin' one of my own later."

Marlon > Marsha, beach

(While also waiting for some reaction from this Metagross I turn back toward Marsha and think about what attack I'd want to try first. I get my feet set, and begin to store some psychic energy.)

You ready?

Rivals Gang

Sounds good, boss... *Sammy the Sandygast the wastes no time settling into the dirt where Stellan and Delara are sleeping...being sand incarnate, Sammy is camouflaged pretty well, all but absent of physical form*

Road to Eluant Mountains

*Sarah bounds about 100 or so feet southward, until finding a decently sized tree to climb. She tells the others* This seems like a good place to camp... *before climbing the tree and breaking off twigs for firewood*

Beach

(I unleash the energy I was holding.)

SKAAAAAAA!!

(It comes out in frozen purple shards covered in frost that cover the ground in front of me.)

Oh man... (I say, looking around.) Uh, everyone watch your step...

(Marsha notes my warning and turns to Marlon.) Ready! You wanna start, Marly?

The Shifter

Yeah! (Benji nods to Salty.) Can't wait tuh see ya become a better boater than me!

Treasure

(Cam begins rolling out the sleeping bags.)

Hmm. While my memory banks do not appear to posses knowledge of these Pokemon's individual species, they have identified the act they are currently engaged in as 'sparring', or 'training'. While I still have no idea of my position, they may be able to provide me with that information.

With that in mind, I speak up. A synthesised, if fairly realistic, voice issues forth.

"Inquiry: Where am I?".

Marlon > Marsha, ???

Okay, here goes...

(The energy coalesces into the same purplish color that would indicate that I'm using Psyshock. I send a wave of that energy off, not entirely half-assed but carefully enough to avoid actually hurt Marsha.)

(And, oh? The Metagross spoke?)

This? This is the Kingdom of Foxfell.

Beach

Yeah, what he said! You just come in—yeow! (Marsha starts to say to the Metagross, only to be hit by Marlon's Psyshock. Laughing, Marsha gets up and begins approaching Marlon, preparing Hammer Arm (though it's obviously a very weak version of the attack.))

(Delilah and I are trying to get rid of all the frozen poisonous shards before anyone steps on them when I see that the Metagross has made it over to us.) Uh, hey there, dude. What's up? (I say. Holy cow, Metagross looks so cool in real life.)
