(I ask Benji. Meanwhile, I do again look down at my leg and then add:)

Heh, I think I'm ready to spar with one of you again, now that my leg definitely has gotten better.

Outside

I parked it just up thuh shore, just sayi- (Benji says, pointing up the shore, and stopping mid-sentence.)

Benji? What is all over the boat? (I ask upon seeing the boat.)

(The Shifter is, for unexplained reasons, covered in blue, purple, red, black, and gold paint. Benji taps the side of his head vigorously at the sight.)

Oh bo- (Benji starts to say, then he suddenly (and seemingly involuntarily) turns into Marjorie. Marsha looks a little taken aback.) Oh dear...oh dear...the boat is a mess! I cannot imagine why...oh dear, please excuse me, everyone. I cannot stand to see it like this... (Marjorie(?) stammers, pulling at her(?) ears.)

(Marjorie(?) dashes over to the boat and begins hurriedly scrubbing the paint off the Shifter.) Please do not wait for me! Go ahead and start sparring! (She(?) shouts at us.)

(Delilah shrugs and turns to us.) Well...you heard Benji...er, Marjorie. Shall we begin?

"I may simply observe for now, although it has been a long time since I've last participated in a fight...", said Noriaki.

"Fight...?" Autumn makes her way out of the restaurant with the others.

"What fight?"

Foxfell Beach

Salty, seeing the state of the boat and Benji/Marjorie's reaction, heads over.

"Uh, lemme help ya get that out, matey. Can't really spar like this anyway."

Salty heads over to try and help.

Beach

We were simply going to do a little sparring here on the beach, Autumn. (Delilah tells Autumn.) There isn't a problem with sparring here, is there?

And I wanna show everyone what I learned in Silversand! (Lucy says.)

You don't mind, do you? (I say.) I mean, Eliot, Delilah, and...even I have been wanting to get some of this out of our systems. I have something that I wanted to try.

(Dinah also head to the Shifter. At the boat, Marjorie(?) notes both her and Salty coming to help.) Thank you so much for your help! (She tells them.) Benji will be able to help you in no time, Salty.

Marlon > Autumn, Marsha

And I honestly just wanted to come here and watch.

(I tell Autumn. I look over to Marsha as well:)

Think we can at least help him with his boat first?

(I ask.)

"Maybe fight wasn't the best word t'use..." [I glare a little at Nori, but I couldn't really expect him to have had the foresight to...ehh, whatever, it's a minor matter either way.]

"Well... okay, just be safe. I don't want people getting the wrong idea." Autumn tells the group.

I poke Mila. "Mama? When we were playing tag earlier, I somehow went really fast, but you still got out of the way. How'd you do that?" I ask.

Having been fixated on a party of Zangoose at the restaurant, Mila is broken out of her stupor by a small prodding from Niles. Realizing that she should get going before they get left behind, she picks him up and begins rushing out, barely thinking about his question as she uses Agility to keep up.

"Oh, that's something... I think I read about it actually. Once we have a chance, why don't we check out the book I have and see if it can explain it?"

"Yeah! I wanna try it, too!"

Beach

Don't worry, Autumn, this is all just for fun. We'll be careful. (Delilah nods.)

Yeah! (I say.) Now...uh...who's gonna start?

Ooh! Ooh! Can I start? (Lucy asks.)

(Before anyone can answer, Lucy runs up to me and places her paws on my hip. Without warning, a blast suddenly erupts from her paws and sends me staggering.)

WHOA!! (I say, regaining my footing. Fortunately, it didn't really hurt.) Uh, warn me next time, Lucy!

Sorry... (Lucy says.)

(Marsha looks over to Marjorie!Benji, Salty, and Dinah cleaning the Shifter.) Don't see why not. My bro needs all da help he can get. (Marsha heads toward the boat.)

"Of course. I'm sure you'll be able to get it with practice..."

Admittedly, Mila has no idea if Niles is capable of learning the move, thinking back to what the book mentioned. Still, giving him the opportunity would be the best way to find out. Hearing that a group is going off to spar, she decides that it'd be best to give Niles a chance to learn about the move in a calmer environment and looks back towards the inn.

"I think I'd rather go back to the inn for now. Anyone else going to join me?"

Marlon > Marsha, Marjorie(?)

(I walk up to the Shifter with Marsha and take to one side. Once there, I ask Marjorie(?) a question.)

How can we help?

"Sure, Mils. Everyone, be safe." Autumn follows behind the Raichu.

"So like... you guys still do royalty and stuff? Like not figureheads or anything?" Whitney leans against the welcome desk, seeming to ask Charles something.

[I give the Braixen a thumbs-up before turning my attention to the—] "LUCY!"

[I watch as Goobert reels back from Lucy's attack. I'm not sure whether to be upset or impressed...it doesn't seem like it hurt him all that much. I decide to keep the atmosphere positive for now, saying to Lucy with a smile,] "That one a'your new moves? Pretty impressive if you could shake the immovable Goobert, eh?"

Huh? Is this another of your weird questions, Whitney? As far as I know, Foxfell has always been a monarchy. What else would it be?

Charles tilts his head as he responds to Whitney, not fully understanding where her question is coming from. He's heard some from her before like this, where he doesn't understand why the answer isn't obvious, but if anything it only leaves him concerned for her health. Still, the flow of mons has died down since the two main groups, and the conversation is something to keep him busy.

"Alright, I guess we'll pick up our keys now and the others can get theirs later then."

Mila is admittedly glad that Autumn is joining them on the way back, as she's been hoping for a chance to talk to her about everything that's happened today. Of course, they'll have time for that after she shows Niles the move he wanted to know about. Idly, she wonders if Braixen could learn it as well. It would certainly be useful to her to avoid conflicts.

Sparring

Yeah! That was Force Palm! (Lucy tells Eliot, excited.) Oh! Can I Copycat someone now? Can I copy Transform from you, Eliot?

Umm...maybe you could copy something from me instead, Lucy? (Delilah offers, a little anxious to use one of her moves. Probably for the best, as I can't help but wonder what would happen if Lucy copied Transform anyway.) Watch this!

(Delilah turns to me.) Get ready, Goobert! (Her wings begin to glow and she rams into me with them.)

Oof...! (I say, falling onto my rump. Fortunately, that attack didn't really hurt either. Delilah was clearly holding herself back. I guess she still remembers the Dual Chop incident in Hoard.)

(Lucy watches Delilah carefully. She then closes her eyes. She glows light blue for a moment, then she seems to grow wings made of light blue energy on her back. Lucy looks at them, grins widely, and flies over to hit Eliot, being careful not to hurt him.)

The Shifter

(Marjorie tosses Marlon and Marsha some wet towels and some sponges.) Use these to remove the paint while it is still wet. (She(?) says.)

"So, Ma." I wriggle out of Mila's grasp. "What was that thing you did? Is there a name for it?"

Marlon > Marjorie(?), Marsha

(I catch the towel with my right arm as I look up at the Shifter. For all that it's worth I never bothered with things like this back home while I still was a human. I eye the ship as I move in and then truly begin to clean the ship with the wet towel, using wide strokes to cover as much more area as I can.)

Hey, this isn't hard...I can see how you guys do this every day in Silversand.

(I mention.)

Beach

[I get excited as Lucy Copycats Delilah, staring almost in wonder as blue wings of light sprout from her back and propel her towards me. I'm ready to receive her: getting low, hands up and ready to push back, I—]

"OOF! ...uhehehe..." [I was not ready to receive her. I stumble back a little, though thankfully, nothing's super hurt, just some brief flirtations with an impact pain.] "Nah, that's pretty neat!" [Giggling some more like a Catholic schoolboy meeting the Pope, I can't help but feel so very proud of her in this moment.]

"...amanna need t'see that again, eheheh!" [I still can't get over this: Lucy can just...use moves someone else's used before! That's so awesome! Like...beyond useful, it's just...cool. Copy me, copy me, the chirping voices in my head screech out, though it's not like I wasn't gonna oblige them.]

[I pivot myself to face the ocean.] "Probably best t'aim it out here, just in case..." [After gesturing Lucy to back up, I get low, the pink markings across my body and tail lighting up and coursing like magma. Bending down, my tail stretching as far back as it can, I then spring around, let my tail fly in front of me as lava-like particulates are flung from my tail towards the ocean, some impacting and breaking apart into a thousand littler pieces on the sand and some plunging into the ocean waters with hissing bursts of smoke. Shortly after, I feel myself cool down, the pink markings on my body no longer glowing their hot glow...]

Sparring

(Lucy follows Eliot's directions and stands back. She watches him use the move.)

Lemme try... (Lucy says. Thinking about how Eliot used the move again, Lucy closes her eyes. This time she glows a bright red and turns to the ocean. Suddenly, flaming sparks fly wildly from her tail in all directions behind her for a moment, prompting Delilah and I to stand back a bit. Fortunately, the flames give way to something more closely resembling what Eliot did. Several smaller burning chunks hit the water and sand in various places.)

Wow, that was close...I almost did it perfectly! (Lucy says. Excitedly, she turns to Eliot.) What next? Ooh, can I copy Transform now? I've been wantin' to copy that one!

The Shifter

Oh yes! (Marjorie says.) Once you get into that groove, as they say, cleaning the boat is very easy!

Heh, you aren't kiddin', bro...sis...? (Marsha chuckles. Marjorie chuckles as well.)

I figured it out pretty quickly myself. (Dinah agrees.) Though I did read about boats a little before I did...

(Soon the boat is almost completely clean.) We are almost done. Soon, I can transform back into Benji and give Salty some pointers on how to sail a boat... (Marjorie says, assessing their progress.)

"Cool, can't wait, matey." Salty says as they scrub off some remaining portion of the boat with their tail.

"Yea, ya did good, champ!" [I grin from ear to ear...well, whatever the hell lizards have.]

[Now Copycatting Transform...hoo boy... I let out a deep sigh, looking away from her as I rub the back of my neck.] "I...a'still dunno about that..."
