"Precautions? What, you think they're lying?"

Suddenly, he hears someone agreeing with Serris... but not anyone in the group. He begins looking around for the source...

"Hello?"

(I wonder if Serris was duped by someone claiming he was also an ex-human just to screw Serris over, because I can't think of any other reason he would be distrustful of another new human-turned-Pokémon)

(But before I can ask Serris about it, I get distracted by yet another new voice)

Mmmff?? (I say with my mouth full, looking around for where this new voice came from)

Having calmed herself down somewhat, Mila sits back and lets the others converse freely. However, hearing Serris snap at Finley sets her on edge, and she lets out a small squeak.

"Hey, did you need to say that? For all you've been talking, you weren't here to help earlier..."

... Or hurt them like I did. Maybe I shouldn't be complaining after all.

However, when Mila hears another new voice her ears perk up, the coils tensing as she tries to figure out where it came from.

"I guess they are coming in waves. Where are you?"

"Huh? What'd you guys hear? Did you guys hear something? What'd you hear?" The voice didn't sound sarcastic, it's sounded frantic and concerned, over anything. And this will be our excuse...

Where are you?

Serris doesn't manage to pick up on Mila's question, focusing on Finley. "Well, you never know. I believe in the human world, they had a saying..."

Before Serris can finish talking, however, he hears the foreign voice. He hops and practically twists his entire body 180 degrees in order to face the opposite direction, eyes squinting and tongue checking the air.

"Make yourself at home! ...I mean, make yourself known! Neither of them were the first saying, this is a different saying!"

"This is gonna get confusing. Okay, everyone. If you're present, come to this spot."

He grabs an Oran berry and places it on the ground in front of him, as a marker.

"This way, we'll figure out what's what."

"Who are you guys talking to? Is there someone new? I wanna meet them. I barely get to introduce myself!" The voice sounded enthusiatic and curious. We might even score some sympathy points!

"We're talking to you, enthusiastic voice. Where are you?"

*is finally snapped out of her funk by the newcomer*

*while heading over to Finley's berry, yells out loud* We won't bite! At least, I hope they won't...I'm this tiny mole thing...I mean, what do you last remember?

"Enthusiastic voice? ...wait, are you guys talking to me?" The voice sounded wholeheartedly and genuinely confused at this development. Ok, wrap it up, bud.

"Your suspicion and concern is understandable, Sir Serris", Noriaki said as he thought a bit, "Well... I believe I was a sort of vassal towards someone, but I mostly remember working in the kitchen, preparing tea and assorted meals. They weren't made from simply berries and the like, I can say that much. I also recall some kind of fancy uniform involving a collar and a jacket? Possibly gloves?"

He also turns to where the new voice comes from.

"Yes, we're talking to you. Just come out, please? This is getting weird." A slight tinge of annoyance can be heard in Finley's voice.

"G-guys... is this a prank cuz my birthday's coming up? I know how funny you guys can be sometimes!" The voice was trying to avoid the possibility that no one knew its true identity. "You guys wouldn't forget about me while you plan for my birthday party!" Well, that's overdoing it.

Finley's patience seems to reach an end.

"Just get out here already."

On top of the Oran berry, came forward a Joltik, a little shorter than average joltiks, almost as if it was a runt of some sort. It stood a top the Oran berry and looked around at everyone. "You're gonna tell me this is a prank about now, right?" Boom, introduction

"How long have you been following us?" He says, dead serious.

"... We have no intention to offend, small one, but we weren't aware of your presence until you spoke."

*the Diglett towers over the miniscule Joltik...kind of* Oh cool, a spider? Wait...you only have 4 legs. A rat maybe...no, kinda looks more like an insect. Are you like a yellow ladybug?

("Good grief, I never realized just how tiny Jolticks were," I think to myself.)

The joltik's face turned to horror. "Guys, it's me, Andy the Joltik! I've been here since Mila got separated, and I tried helping them back. I was there for Morbitesse's palace. I was there when Eliot got stuck in the creak. Guys?" Andy's voice started breaking up at the thought that all of his best friends hadn't even realized his presence. Good thing I skimmed the Recap page.

Finley thinks... Maybe this guy was there? And he just didn't see him?

Oh yeah! Hey, dude! Sorry, I didn't recognize you." He says trying to cheer up the little guy. Then he turns to the rest of the group. "You all remember Andy, right?"

Mila looks very confused for a moment, remembering bad memories.

"Wait, but then what about the time I— wouldn't you have been stunned? I almost killed... "

Mila seems almost moved to tears, before she recalls that he seems to be an electric type, and thus would not have been very harmed by her static attack.

"Oh, right. You probably felt just fine, huh? I feel stupid now."
