On an unrelated note, I really want them to release the official soundtrack for the anime.

I just learned that there's a tag at pixiv called 11話ショック (episode 11's shock) for artwork related to episode 11.

I just realize that someone notice this during that episode◊

Something serious stuff happen

I just jumped on the train and I must say this is really good. It clicked for me during the third episode what the appeal of this show is, and boy is it enjoyable.

Episode 12 is coming soon. Are you ready for it? There is still time to make prediction about it before it airs. :P

Considering the title of the episode is Amusement Park and how Episode 11 ended... I could think maybe this will start with a flashback reveal. Or a mind screw of some kind.

If they're serious about season 2, they'll hold off on a full reveal, because that's one of the things attracting people.

Have they said they're considering a season 2?

There was a statement by the creator a month back saying that the project wasn't going to end just with the anime... if that means a second season, another game, or simply more merchandising then who knows.

One of the easiest ways to keep the franchise going would be with a second season, with the large number of characters the series has there would be nothing keeping them from making more and more plots if they wanted.

Also I was totally right about Kaban being a human Friend. So, what exactly does this make her in relation to Mirai?

Kaban was "born" from a strand of Mirai's hair, so I guess she could be considered a clone or a daughter or something.

Also I was fully expecting for Kaban to pull But Now I Must Go to search for other humans, but I wasn't expecting for Serval to go after her. Not that I mind, of course.

We also don't know Serval's relation to the Serval in Mirai's recordings. It's apparently something, since she started crying without even remembering why...

Overall, this was a flawed but entertaining and interesting anime. I'd watch a second season. Hopefully the animation's better though :P

Serval deciding to tag along didn't surprise me at all; there have been plenty of instances where she could have left with no problems, but she stayed throughout the whole thing.

Besides, those looks she was shooting at Kaban towards the end told me she was up to something...

Okay finale. First half was definitely hurt by the poor animation

Most questions answered, but there's still what appears to be a reincarnation angle that's largely unexplored. Somewhat related, I note that Kaban's design appears to be slightly different after her resurrection

Series overall is basically a monument to the power of good series composition. The animation is garbage, the direction is average at best, and the writing isn't anything special, but the well-paced mystery, good world-building, and episode variety made something truly compelling, and that really counts for a lot

As expected Lucky pulled off a Gondor Calls for Aid during Episode 11 and the Friends answered!

Sadly, not everyone manage to get a good screentime but here are some interesting stuff:

Lion as in real life, a badass bonus that her voice change when she was angry. PPP tried their best in doing damage in one of the black cerulean's legs.

Tsuchinoko planned to use water along with Ezo and Alpaca to disable it, they were sugoi after seeing that it's legs turn to harden lava stone. Guess what the Cerulean represents.

Anyway I can't wait for the 2nd season to appear. I do also want the game to return in another way... All of those cute Friends... Best form of knowledge to learn about animals better than a certain animal tv show!

Everyone notice how Kaban's gloves and thigh-highs returned over the course of the episode? When she was spat out by the Cerulean, her hands and legs were bare, but soon enough, black spots start spreading across her arms and legs.

At first I thought it was an animation oversight, but some people in the web posit that, because Kaban's outfit was part of her identity as a Friend that they just grew back.

Oh and another thing. We've got two voiced Friends that never appeared in any episode proper: Aardwolf, and Dolphin. We technically hear Aardwolf get eaten in episode 1 though, and her animal form shows up at the end of episode 12, and Dolphin is the unseen Friend that Kaban runs into on the way to the other island.

Well I took my time to watch the finale then watch the series from the beginning all over again.

The final fight scene in episode 12 wasn't bad, and it seems a lot of people liked the ending.

Episode 12 was pretty good and having everyone Kaban had helped turn up to help them right back is a nice finale. The post battle celebration was cute and gave everyone one last time to see the entire cast being themselves at their best since if there is a season 2 it's very unlikely we'll ever see them again.

And while I had expected the ending to be like it was, I knew Serval wouldn't leave leave her to go alone. I was pleasantly surprised that it seems like Fennec and Raccoon are coming along too.

There's still a lot of questions left to be answered and I really hope we do get a second season to help build the world even more. Though I will kind of miss the characters left behind.

It looks like it must have been something cut out of episode 12? I wonder if there will be more of these little shorts? I'm sure there had to have been several things cut during the Anime's development that they could release, and it looks like everyone loved it.

Really watching the fan reactions to each episode was almost as fun as the episodes themselves, as well as the fan art and the many many parodies, songs, and other massive amount of Fan content the series is generating.

So apparently the live music event was a hit on twitter, the Japaricon was packed, the event Kemono Friends store has so many people trying to get in that you have to take a number, and even then nearly everything in the store is sold out by the end of the day.

I doubt the creators were expecting something like this to happen even in their wildest dreams.

I found more video. Once again redirector... blablabla... Anyway Welcome To Japari Park Final Boss Version. SPOILER for the last 2 episodes by the way.

Oh also, I found a series of videos that show the reaction of 2chan to Kemono Friends. First video is here. My Japanese is not perfect but assuming I haven't done any mistakes, here is what I gathered. While they were at first happy, the people did noticed the "quality" of the CG. Some people mentionned the usual "this is the level of a 5 minute show", "is this 30 minutes?". At the moment "don't eat me" moment, they mention Kimashi tower or something? I am not sure what they are referencing there. XD Someone asked at the first Cerulean bit it the Cerulean was a bad guy. Several people mentionned the mobile game that was cancelled. Many people though Hippo was acting like a mom. :P People were quite surprised at the animal segment at the middle. People were also surprised to see Serval leave but thought it was cute when she came back. :3 Many people made fun of Serval massively freaking out at boss talking. :P At this point, many (or at least some) people were unconvinced by the anime. Someone said the animator was unskilled or something like that. Anyway, if you know Japanese, I suggest having a look. :)

Also, this time at youtube instead, several (serval?) parody videos of Persona 5.

Blu-Ray sales were through teh roof.

the frst Two blue Rays (included as a bonus in guide books) sold, combined, over 120,000 copies. 5000 is a bonafide hit, and 3000 is pretty good. 60,000 each is top 10 of all time range
