Anyone feel that the line about Senku not related by blood to his father seem "forced"? Like i know maybe the editor is concern about incest but it been 3000 years+ now, they are barely related at this point.

Yup, feels like they just wanted to avoid even a hint of Incest Subtext with Senku and Kohaku, which as you say is just dumb.

Plus I'm sure they figured out some incest science by now. What with how inbred the village is.

The only other thing I can imagine is they're setting up Senku's father being connected to Whyman. That or an "I am your father" moment with Xeno, but I'm calling that unlikely pending further Foreshadowing.

Yeah, diamonds are the most common gemstones by a lot. It was literally just the diamond companies manufacturing demand. It would be impressive if not for the literal genocides the whole mess caused.

And then when easy artificial diamonds were invented, the diamond companies convinced everyone that those don't count.

Presumably, they need to pin-point their location, which the blanket of Medusas is blocking.

They don't need radio silence, because the enemy only has one ship. You need three points, or two points plus some additional information, in order to triangulate a source.

There definitely are jewelers who specialize in artificial diamonds. Look up "conflict-free" diamonds.

They're still more expensive than they actually need to be because they can get away with it by comparing them to the artificially-inflated prices of natural diamonds, but they should be cheaper overall.

How did he figure out that crystal was made of diamond to begin with? I mean, there are ways, but what was his?

And with it comes a plan to use diamonds against diamonds...and Stanley figuring out where the real destination is.

Senku is too smart to not realize that. Stanley may have figured out where they needed to go first thanks to Xeno, but Senku will be ready somehow. He knows Stanley too well. The fact that Gen caught Xeno doing something helps. We'll just need to see what they got planned.

The fact he managed to catch a glimpse of Xeno’s finger gloves magnetize a nut is every indication he knows what’s up. He always has something up in mind.

Yeah now we only gotta wait to see how Senku is planning to one-up Xeno.

I really dig Xeno's brand of I-know-you-know treachery and wholehearted scientific curiosity.

That's a pretty nutty plan. And the biggest issue is that they've explained it fully.

I always like when they show Suika as the one they would trust with an important job. My favorite bit in Treasure Island was then everyone realized the only one on the Perseus was Ginro, and they were trying to convince themselves it would be okay, only to breath a sigh of "Oh thank God! relief when they realized Suika was there, too.
