I keep thinking how they're gonna try and explain the petrification beam when the time comes... Maybe Inagaki will simply do things the SCP Foundation way and just go with "oh, yeah, this thing is an anomaly to the laws of nature and now we're gonna try and dissecate and document every aspect of it"?

TBH Ginrou is definitely the cutest of the three.

I never really got the impression Gen was supposed to be notably tall...

Yeah, he's usually drawn about the same height as Senkuu and only slightly taller than Amaryllis. Guess they just needed an excuse to not have the master manipulator in there making things too easy.

Yeah, he doesn't seem particularly taller than Senku… Seems like a last-minute excuse to have the resident Butt-Monkey do the job.

Also, Kohaku looks better without the makeover, fight me.

Congratulations Gin, you get to be useful. Anime law says you'll be declared the prettiest girl there.

Honestly they should have had Gen make a go at it anyway. Worst-case scenario he gets passed over and immediately forgotten, which is basically the same result as just leaving him behind.

Lead bad guy seems to like just about any girl, Ginro succeeds despite himself, Kohaku only knows one cute pose, and now in his usual fashion, Senku comes up with a crazy plan, namely building a drone.

I half-expected Muscle Mom to be selected. Too bad.

Now I'm eagerly waiting for that Kohaku vs. Mozu fight.

So... is the drone gonna be a balloon or a gliding plane?

My guess is a balloon.

also why did they only made the one? wouldn't giving Amaryllis and Ginro those earrings be more helpful than just getting one to Kohaku?

Time. They barely got the one made and to Kohaku.

I'm surprised Ginro never realized that getting selected means he's going to be surrounded by the hottest girls on the island. Gen at least would recognize it's an easy way to get him motivated.

Speaking of Gin, boy does that selection scene show that being a little tall would not have been an issue for him getting picked.

Idk... That could be a distraction from the mission, since it's Gin we're talking about. But it would be an incentive to get him picked, sure.

Which is precisely when the supporting cast gets really interesting.

I mean, Yuzuriha only gets something much later. And Taiju lost a lot of his appeal the moment Kohaku showed up.

Crunchyroll is on the committee for this show right?

Between this and the success of Shield Hero, I wonder what possessed them to make their own studio. Companies seem more than happy to take their money for Manga and light novel adaptations.
