8-4 certainly does Nintendo's best voice direction by far.
Hardly. The only reason half of the cast in Fates is interesting is due to localization changes. Even "..." sums up that support just as well as the actual text did (i'm half-joking).
Turns out that it's difficult to churn out a good localization when the writing itself is awful to work with.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI guess it's time to bring up all the other games Treehouse localized the story for just fine. Nobody ever mentions those.
Yeah, previous Fire Emblem games released in the west had a lot of changes to their scripts as well, but since the entire (fan translated) Japanese script of those games weren't available online a year before the western release, nobody had the original to compare and contrast with the localization. Purists to the original script are something of a pet peeve of mine, just because the huge differences in culture, syntax and diction between Japanese and English, and how more often than not overly literal or blindly faithful translations end up coming out stilted and uninteresting.
Not that random "what the hell were they thinking" changes in localizations aren't a legitimate gripe, but we've had very few of those in FE localizations (yeah, changing the contents of a support to ellipses as a joke is a bit baffling, considering the usual focus on characterization and development in supports). There's even a fair host of Woolseyisms, like giving the Black Knight an actual legit in-character reason to lose to Ike rather than a dumb Applied Phlebotinum flub.
But back to Heroes. Over the past few days I've been destroying every Infernal and most Abyssal Maps using the newly-named Alm Sweep team (L!Alm running base kit or Desperation if there's no Bowbreaker on the enemy plus Flashing Blade seal, with WoM PA!Azura, Leanne and Reyson). Once I've got the positioning and movement down, these maps are pretty easy, and I don't even have to worry about merges. Shoutout to Leanne being that impenetrable magic wall I sometimes need to give Alm a chance to finish a mage off.

Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things.I don't think Fates had a good translation but I don't really think they're doing badly with what they're given in Heroes (aside from carrying over Effie's dub personality...)
There's only so much you can do when your average story chapter has about as much text as a recruitment conservation in one of the actual games.
Okay, I've been hearing this all the time, but is Effie's personality different? The only noticable difference is the voice.
Fire Emblem Heroes Code: 4547311645 Fate/Grand Order Code: 188037115The sheer difference between her Japanese and English voice alone should be enough of a tip off that they're not the same. I don't feel like writing a giant wall of text about it otherwise.
It's also why I don't go into the regular FE thread on here. It's always either full of spoilers or tl;dr level arguments.
I don't really care much for the original but dislike what the dub does with her, so the translation made me hate a character I'd have otherwise ignored.

x2 Both Effies are super devoted to Elise and dutiful in training. Original Effie is much more soft-spoken and calm, while localization Effie is more boisterous and tomboyish. Basically the localization made her more of a sporty girl proud of her strength and more aggressive in her mannerisms rather than the more traditionally feminine girl of the original.
Here's a more in-depth analysis of the differences using support conversations.
I personally prefer the localization because original Effie doesn't really stand out at all imo, but I'm not a super huge fan of Effie to begin with, and Yamato Nadeshiko and variants doesn't really appeal to me.
edit: Fair enough. I'm not going to deny that it feels like they went heavy for the comedy with some of her lines, which can get annoying and feel out of place. She has some sheer memetic value for me and I think the idea of her being more boisterous fits with her enormous strength, but I can see the other point of view as well.

Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things.I love "Dub" Effie. She'd ultimately be a female Kellam otherwise.
It helps that giving her that personality introduces a healthy dose of Gameplay and Story Integration since her strength really is that high. Given what they did to Rinkah's statline...
Hey, when are we getting Rinkah? I really want Rinkah.
Bleye knows Sabers. With Benny, Charlotte, and Orochi.
No shit wait I'd actually whale on a banner like that
Charlotte's great and I really want her to be in the game outside of a bride alt.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Speaking of alts, what would happen if you set up a play date with D!Tiki and Y!Azura?
Well, people already told their answer & saying Dragalia Lost is the better choice so you might as well prioritize Dragalia over Heroes
I imagine that person just spending time with her younger self.

Bride and Grooms silhouette time.
Best guesses I have are Fjorm and Lyon
Is one of them wearing one of those Kishin Knight hoshido halos?
Bleye knows Sabers.I'm sure this banner will invite absolutely no controversy whatsoever.
The real question is if this banner will spark controversy over who gets alts, or the content of said alts.
It will be both.
Groom Camilla and Bride Marth.
I managed to pull a second Fallen Berkut today.
And he's still +Spd.
Fuuuuuuuuck!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Well, if he's your second, then you can at least get rid of his flaw stat.

Yeah but that doesn't fix the boon stat being the worst possible one for him. I'd rather just try and pull for a third.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!"Hey, when are we getting Rinkah? I really want Rinkah."
"With Benny, Charlotte, and Orochi."
Here here. I also really want Reina.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Bride Reina maybe?
Issue is mostly changing or flanderizing characters too much Like changing one support to be entirely "..."
