Fire Emblem Heroes

Finally got a unit to +10- Fir!

Optimal IVs (+Atk -Def) too! I love the pink glow for her border.

Being summoner supported with Fury gives her surprisingly strong defenses; even at -Def she hits 30 defense, and her Res hits 40. She manages a blistering 45 Spd too, so I don't see her not doubling many opponents! Her Atk gets up to 54 with the Nameless Blade refined.

Of course, all those stats are gonna drop by 3 once I get Distant Counter on her (i'll miss those stats...) but DC will just mean she can effectively counter mages and maaaaayyybe a weaker bow unit. Maybe.

Still, her most impressive feat is her sweet sweet +20 damage on almost every attack due to Moonbow + Nameless Blade + Wrath shenanigans. At +10, Fury or no, that's going to kill a LOT.

But that's going to change for Arena scoring, which will basically require subbing Moonbow for Aether and throwing on Flashing Blade's seal. No double Moonbow in each combat, but a potential turn 1 (and low CD) Aether at +20 is definitely going to be nothing to scoff at.

But of course I need to pull a DC first.

In other news, dropped ~30 orbs on the Muspell banner and got fodder. Not spending any more since i need to drop orbs on the next legendary banner for Hector (DC fodder obvs) and then hopefully have enough orbs left over for Halloween to merge H!Nowi (if there aren't any new halloween units I like more, anyway!)

Got a Helbindi and a Laevatein in 4 circles, then about ten circles of nothing. Out of orbs, though it's a long enough banner I can hopefully scrape together enough for a reasonable attempt at Laegjarn.

Though I no longer play this game due to certain personal events in real-life, I'd like to drop in and pretty much confirm what most people has assumed they did when they summon◊.

Put it another way, we were all recruiting and training an army of ghosts. Though if we put rarities into question (and ignoring the obvious "profiteering/game balance" reason for a moment), it does make for some low-key Fridge Horror - how fragile or unfortunate are some of the 3-4 star lords (e.g. Eliwood, Eirika, the Corrins) that they die so frequently in alternate realities compared to their shinier compatriots (e.g. Ephraim, Lucina, Sigurd)?

Awakening did it first with the Einherjar, Not surprised that the concept would be expanded here (albeit in a form more accurate to the namesake), though I wonder if it marks another comparison to FGO?

Is that really what that line of dialogue means? I thought Masked Marth is referring to Sigurd specifically, rather than summoned Heroes in general.

I think that if it is the case with Sigurd, it's not that much of a stretch to assume a similar scenario for the others. For example: Hellbindi and Laegjarn (I did read the spoilers for the latest story chapter, so I knew what happened to them), Eldigan and Quan, Azura/Ryoma/Xander and most of the other Fates royals (depending on the route), etc.. IIRC, Michalis even openly confesses to having experienced death once.

Yeah, it's implied they can get summoned from any point in time. The mysterious dancer is taken right during/before her performance to Garon, for one, while Sigurd's castle dialog implies he comes from a time after his death. Not to mention 2 out of the 3 Múspell units being dead.

Speaking of, my luck has been trash in this banner. Barely any green orbs, nearly all circles had 3 colorless orbs for some reason, and the only 5* has been a Mia with less than desirable IVs

it could be similar to Fate/GO, where servants are all already dead but they can be summoned from different points in their lives

Like Artoria for example. You can summon her after Camelot fell, and you can also summon her from right after she pulled caliburn

they both know what happens to her, but her personality and abilities are slightly different

Not all of the Heroes are dead, but there's nothing saying that they can't be summoned from after their death. Assuming that just because people like Sigurd and Ayra are dead doesn't mean everyone is dead.

Laegjarn in particular comes from a period before she underwent the Rite of Flame, possibly during her period of capture by Askr.

I mean, they'll all die eventually but alas IS has yet to give us OAP alts.

Some characters are explicitly from earlier periods of their life, like young Ike. I wouldn't read anything into the Sigurd comment other than that Sigurd is dead even in his own game.

Well, got myself Helbindi and Laegjarn (and a misclick tossed a 5* Taltiu at me). Don't have enough orbs left to justify trying for bladeblade.

Half the reason I kept going for Laegjarn was an excuse to pull more Hinatas

I'm wondering if there is a way for IS to add the missing skills Certain Blow and Duelist's Blow (refitted for Heroes or otherwise)?

Given the lack of hit chance, probably not. And anything they could have been converted into is already taken up by: Armored Blow and Steady Blow (Def/Spd) for Duelist's and Swift Sparrow for Certain.

Got a Laegjarn and she's -HP +Spd, which is pretty good, though perhaps not her best. Wanted a Helbindi, but no greens have been showing for me.

I still want Ophelia on the other banner, though, so all orbs will go toward that until either the banner ends or I pull her.

Should note the Muspell banner lasts a month, so you can afford to save. If you can resist oncoming banners like the Legendary one this coming week.

I'll probably just do a free pull on the Legendary banner and no further. Ophelia and Helbindi take priority over just about anybody they could add.

Unless it's Legendary Reinhardt.

i have no idea what they could make the next legendary hero, especially if they're trying to balance weapon/color variety.

Water and colorless would be my best bet, but we haven't had an earth hero since Grima so that's long overdue, so I think an earth hero is far more likely.

However, we already have an Earth Colorless. They have doubled up on weapon color before so it could happen again, but I think it's more likely we get an earth blue or green. Buuuut we already have three of each color except colorless, so that would offset the balance.

But i'm probably putting more thought into this than IS. Chances are it's an Earth Red Bow, probably Armor or Cavalry since we haven't had many of those.

As for the unit itself? Probably Leif since Thracia and Genealogy have been getting a lot of attention, or Eirika because she's popular no matter what and matches her typical unit colors.

I would say Sigurd/Seliph (Genealogy banner) or Corrin/Xander (Fates banner), but since they broke the pattern last time with Legendary Marth, it's anyone's guess.

I hope it's not Eirika if solely because I want her CYL 3 chances to stay alive.

Personally I'd say that is the reason why Sigurd shouldn't be a Fire Legendary hero. But regarding his chances, Genealogy is competing with Fates and Heroes itself for the OC slot given past trends (Marth is an outlier due to losing CYL the same way B&TB got Award Snubbed.) and The banner would overlap with Muspell General and Nohrian Dusk.

OTOH, there is a chance that IS throws another curveball and gives the slot to someone completely unrelated to the month's banners again. But I find that less than probable.

@On peoples summoning: I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Llyod looks like hes done drugs is either because he was taken after he died from his Quintessence being stolen by Limstella, or he survived and that was whats left of him afterwards.

It's already confirmed this legendary hero will be blue, the other colors already have a legendary hero on the banner.

I want to hope it's a blue mage or manakete because another lance unit would be lame, but we do have three legendary swords, so whatever.
