Yeah, now that enough time has passed, we might get Fallen Heroes from Engage.

Fire Emblem is rapidly running out of victims of mind control, and Engage has all sorts of fresh meat.

And Fallen Heroes often have pretty sweet fodder too... Damn it.

Every banner is a trap trying to get you to break out the Wallet Special.

Honestly I just wanna see Fallen Gunter. Imagine Gunter of all people powercreeping the vast hordes of gods and demigods that came before him.

My only expectation for Fallen Heroes this year is Fallen M!Byleth. They did Fallen Female last year, so by all means and stuff, he should be getting that alt this time around.

Could alternatively get Fallen Shez or "Fallen" Epimenides nuts instead.

Fallen Gatekeeper has a ton of useless information to report all the time, and you just can't get away from him. He also lets pretty much anyone in.

I admit, the only ones who would actively interest me would be Epimenides and Great Fell Dragon Nil (only if he has AOE special that damages allies).

Technically we have a ton of fallen heroes if we go with Anankos minions/Heirs of Fates with all the dads.

There’s the DARK Emblems of course, but they’re more likely to do actual villains as Dark Emblens first since they’re a new type of unit. Course they could make Dark Emblems regular units.

Also if they got out of their comfort zone and made more What If? we could get some unique Fallen units, like how they used Cipher for several Fallen alts specifically already based on What If? like Chrom and Ike.

Morph Linus, of all characters, is a unit, so I think the devs will have no trouble coming up with ideas.

To be fair, he's a sexy, pretty, bad boy, where his Morph form canonically appears in his home game, and being a Morph only adds extra tragic bad boyness. So it was more or less the lowest hanging of the lowest hanging fruit.

Also, Isadora is part of the 5* star focus? Huh. I'm not complaining, but it seems odd to rerun her, especially she's not Ascended or anything and without her boyfriend.

Trying to understand these skills is a great way to test your reading comprehension.

NGL, the ridiculously long skill lists turned me off the game for a long time, and I stopped caring about new units outside of specific banners.

Call me an idiot, but I'm not reading that shit.

I don't even bother reading the skill descriptions anymore. By the time you finish reading them, IS has released a new unit powercreeping them anyway.

This looks like "What if we took B!Ike, and gave him Dimitri's flat DR%, Fjorm's damage reflect, plus Garon's AoE life drain; then also had him take 25% of his opponent's Atk, Deadeye effect, and the anti-Guard half of Tempo?" Which kind of perfectly illustrates what I mean when I say that IS has been duct taping together skills that are already duct-taped-together versions of skills from previous years. It's getting extra ridiculous because these aren't singular skills: they're 10 skills all crammed into one slot.

Huh so Ike's engage effect is a conditional ranged damage reduction special? That's interesting.

Neither do I tbh. I'm in the point that understanding what an unit does with guides and experimentation is enough for me.

Yeah, so much for the next emblem being green-colored.

...Speaking of which, what do you guys think IS will do with the Emblems that have more than one hero in Engage? I expect they'll split them up to stretch the pool of Emblems, just so these types of heroes can last for +2 years at most.

I questioned around the time when the type was introduced if we'd get Heroes-exclusive Emblems aka Emblems not from the base game or the Expansion Pass.
