Didn't notice when it dropped, myself, but could also be that the refines aren't terribly impressive for the average player.
- Lute's has pretty good synergy with her effects, but isn't particularly broken. It's notable, but how many people actually have a Lute?
- Fred's Axe is a personal armour killer with a boring Death Blow 3. Like, he can destroy L!Tikis with it with no danger to himself, but Slaying Hammer+ could also do that. As a bulky, Def-oriented guy, this is also a weird refine. A copypaste of Florina's Lance probably would have suited him better. And it definitely looks sad next to Est's. Even Neph's or Oboro's looks more attractive (although Fred would want Sturdy Stance instead of Neph's Steady Posture).
- Dignified Bow is interesting, in part because that means he and Cherche both have Panic Ploy in their personals. The most interesting part is that the Panic is a base part of his kit, so anyone who bothered to invest in a 5* version can have the effect without investing Dew. The refine is kind of cool because it tries to essentially be active all the time, but I don't think it's going to help him that much with his trash Res in a meta filled with armours and dragons. I guess he might end up hilariously troll on an ARD where his HP can get massively inflated, but there are better units that could receive that kind of investment for that purpose.
- Guardian's Axe is super strong, but... well, that only way Hawkeye is properly utilizing it is with, at minimum, Distant Counter. This refine is clearly made for the DC-Null-C build, though. The problem? We just got a free Brave Ike who can do that about as effectively without needing merges, plus his refine makes him a better general tank against other stuff. In other words, Hawkeye's refine is about six months late to the party.
I have Lute, though she's not +Res which is what her refine pretty much hinges on you having.
Virion joins the club of being one of the few units who want +HP. Still Virion though.
Fredrick and Hawkeye would have both been good had they been released like, six months ago. I get that refines need to stay a certain length behind new prfs in terms of power but the gap is starting to get a bit too wide.

Well, I'd say Hawkeye's problem actually has to do with IS's generosity, hilariously enough (since Hawkeye's personal is actually still really good). Until the free B!Ike, Libra and Hawkeye were prime candidates to inherit from Nailah (in fact, I have a Libra +1 who did just that...). I guess if nothing else, Hawkeye's refine helps that small chunk of people who invested in DC-Null-C Hawkeye before free B!Ike happened.

Did a little bit of red sniping. Could only use three tickets until I get more orbs. Ended up with an off-banner +Res/-Def Tibarn. Kinda considering merging my +Def to the +Atk now and using the +Res for Sturdy Impact fodder. No rush, I guess, since Tibarn is on my Light team.
Also, is it just me or is the "build a Field" Aether Resort quest messed up? I built it yesterday, so I can't do it now. There's no retroactive credit and removing and placing it again doesn't do anything. I sent a ticket in, but customer service wasn't exactly the most helpful the last two times I poked them.
Also, also, I hilarious did a dumb earlier. Modified the wrong Aether Defense, so I ended up defending all day at a Fort disadvantage. As it turns out, Ophelia didn't need it—just a little dance from Ninian. Guy immediately surrendered after Ares got rally trapped. The second defense showed that even with just two Infantry Pulses, the team's pretty potent. A chain of disaster had Thrasir kill two, then Sonya warp killed another, more or less putting them in an unwinnable situation.

(Super late to the party) Upcoming stuff looks fun. Hall of Forms is kinda like the randomizer mode I was thinking would be a fun addition to the game, we got some Tellius units for the seasonal banner, and L'Arachel pulls off the mad scientist look ridiculously well. I don't know if I'll have enough orbs to pull for her and the adorable father/daughter team....
Memehardt lost, but it was ridiculously close, and Rinea trounced Olivia. I didn't expect that, for sure.
As of now Rinea's ahead by three million votes, which...is all of this because she got shafted so hard in Shadows of Valentia? Do people want to give her the spotlight that was robbed from her that bad? Or is she actually an extremely popular character in the fandom and I'm in the dark about it? Underdog stories are great and all, but wow.
Maybe if Team Inigo stays weaker for the next few hours and then we throw all of our flags at once, we'll have the sheer multiplier advantage and pull out a win. But as of now, looks like the ultimate darkhorse is on the horizon...
Made one last past at the newest mythic banner with a total of 80 orbs, and managed to land four green 5*, two Yunes and two Thrasirs. The boons/banes though...
Thrasirs are +Atk/-Spd and +Def/-HP; Yunes are +Atk/-HP and +HP/-Spd. Atk Yune is the easy pick, though looks like -Spd is one of Thrasir's worst banes and it's better to merge the second Thrasir into the Atk Thrasir to get rid of it, while +Def does little for her due to her kit's design. Dangit, there goes my super powerful/rare SI. Swings and roundabouts, I guess.
