It has never been good but they are (slowly) replacing the resin with some brilliant new plastic models (look at Ahriman and Khân). From what I have heard at events, turning them over to Forge World would be impossible because they are already running at maximum capacity with the Horus Heresy, the Specialist Games, etc. (this is one of the reasons I have heard that a lot of their less popular/formerly popular models have been discontinued recently).
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellYeah, Ahriman and Kharn are lovely models and I like the new Kryptek, but the glacial pace of such releases doesn't help the issue much.
Yesterday I finished painting Abaddon and I was surprised how enjoyable and (relatively) easy he was to paint.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellHe looks great, nice job.
Thanks
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellHere is my full Chaos Dwarf Blood Bowl team. I am going to take these guys (minus a couple of the hobgoblins) to the Full Beard Cup event at Warhammer World in Nottingham this weekend and will probably try for most casualties caused rather than overall winner (my Orcs came second or third in that category last year).
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThey look sweet. Good luck!
Thanks on both counts.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellMy Unit-01 Knight is coming along nicely...since I took this pic, I put gold around the colors on the chainsword. I'm going to do my best to complete the armor panels tomorrow and hopefully have it done by the end of the weekend.
Looking good so far, although I have always thought that the Wraithknight would look better in the Unit-01 colours than a Knight.
I have been away on holiday so I haven't been a painting but here is something I did a while ago, my second Deadwalker Zombie for Age of Sigmar. I think it turned out a lot better than my last attempt.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThey're both pretty good in different ways.
If I was playing Eldar, I'd totally do up some Wraithknights as Evas. Right now, the armor on my Knight is almost done, I just need to finish the shoulder guards and glue them on...and then I'm going to have to figure out a way to do the base.

Thanks.
Basing large models is always a little daunting. I have seen some people do really good dioramas on the bases of super-heavy walkers but that is a bit beyond my time and skill.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI finally finished my first squad of Skitarii for my planned Stygies VIII Mechanicus army and I am quite pleased with how they turned out.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI painted this version of Skulltaker a while ago but recently rebased him to fit with my Khorne Black Legion army. I am still really happy with how his cloak turned out.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThose are both really, really good.
I've finally got my Knight to a point where I can start putting transfers on, so hopefully I can have it done by the end of the weekend. My Warglaives are primed (except for one armor piece that I messed up and need to reprime), and I picked up one of the old metal Daemonhost models to play alongside Eisenhorn that I'm going to prime at the same time.
Thanks.
I have a couple of daemonhosts but I haven't painted them as I am not sure which of my armies to fit a Radical Inquisitor into (or which model to use). As you are painting them for Eisenhorn, are you going to try to paint one in Cherubael's colours◊?
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThis is the model I have...Cherubael’s colors are pretty close to that so I may use both pics as guides.
Cool. Are you going to attempt to do the rest of his retinue and if you do will you go from the characters in the book or from Tabletop Game/Inquisitor?
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellNo, just the daemonhost, it's the only thing in his actual 40K rules and I've got too much other stuff to paint.
I can sympathise with having tones to paint but if you go with Eisenhorn's Inquisitor warband then there are the Deathcult Assassins Severina & Sevora. Their Inquisitor models◊ were the inspiration for the current 40K Deathcult Assassins◊ and would use their rules.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellAlright, my first Knight is officially done...or at least, it's done until I come up with an idea for the Ikari family crest.
Looking good
For the crest you could try doing something with the NERV logo, replacing the writing with half an Imperial Eagle or something.
"The Emperor is on his Throne and all is right with the Imperium"
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellAs it is Orktober I thought I would paint a Morka Boy from Gorkamorka that I found. With the exception of his shoulder symbols I am happy with how he turned out.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellJust based on what I can tell from that, it looks fine to me.
I'm working on my Helglaives...patterning their colors roughly after Misato Katsuragi◊'s work outfit.
I may have said it before, but IMO GW needs to either scrap all their resin minis and make plastic versions, or turn the sculpts over to Forge World and let them make them.
