Just finished "The Fairy Isle". I guess this is the end of an era. It makes sense that they'd end it with what's basically a movie like the mountain king.

I really enjoyed the resolution for Victoria, my favourite villain. I don't think she really cared that she was saving Hilda's life any more than she previously cared that she was endangering it; the important thing to her is that she's going to do so much science, and she remains cordially indifferent to how that affects anyone else to the very end.
