Atlantis sure looks a lot more… alive than in JL.

In JL he didn’t go to Atlantis proper, just a ruin or something.

Funny enough, King Orm looks more like New 52 Aquaman than Arthur x)

sigh...the trailer looked good exactly until they switched from the child to Aquabro…well, at least the director is embracing the batshit crazy aspects of the character...

[up]Really? because for me it feel narmy as hell and to 90 for my own taste, and while I dont like Aquabro too much(for me is just Thor but with beard) I kinda like Black manta, he look awsome.

[up][up] Did you honestly just type that? You didn’t notice how wrong it is despite what’s blatantly visibly nonsensical? Seriously?

Also I don’t see what’s wrong with the trailer or Aquaman himself really.

Both are just fine.

[up] Maybe it is that...I need more than "just fine" to get me back on board.

I have seen a lot of trailers that made the movie look worse than it was, so I usually don't trust them too much − mostly because 90% of them are constructed and cut the exact same way. Even so, this one looked pretty okay, although the childhood sequence made me think of a love child between Man of Steel and Harry Potter.

[up][up][up][up]Hey, if you have a problem with my english just said it and I will edit, dont need to be rude.

And yeah....the child sequence look insincere for me, it feel more like "he was a child and he was sad....WHO GIVES A DAMN, IS AQUABRO TIME NOW!"

And that shark was so fake I laugh, and not in the way the trailer want me to laugh.

[up][up][up] Never is overstating it.

[up] Yeah...and I kind of started to care about the child and the love story….

This movie actually looks really good. I find it interesting that it's basically the reverse of Thor and Black Panther. Instead of the adopted/outsider family member being the antagonist this time the natural heir is.

It definitely looks like a solid movie, nothing amazing-though Black Manta's look is perfect.

Plus Arthur's dad is played by A:someone of Maori descent, which is cool, and B: Jango shocking Fett.

[up][up]Now I imagine Aquaman celebrating being king of Atlantis while Killmonger and Loki look jelous.

[up]x3 That is actually kind of the main reason I am interested in the movie more. It appears to give us a hero who actually has to work his way to earn the throne instead of being given to him immidiately at the start. Basically while Thor and T’Challa are basically already the winners trying to keep their position, Aquaman is the underdog with the eye of the tiger wanting the thrill of the fight rising up to the challenge of his rivals because he is a motherfucking survivor . . . yeah I wanted to use those lyrics but you get my point, this movie is a more appealing subversion of this plot.

Well T'Challa probably wouldn't consider himself a 'winner' so much because he only became king due to his father being violently killed.

Arthur is the rightful king, he just doesn't really want it-at first.
