... I actually believe I got you in the scan xD
Wooze looks at Glass with a 'please take her away' lookReally? The younger guy grappling with the older woman is Simon and Eris, the redhead with the sword is Arthuria, the flying bald guy is War Crime, and the armor is Dragoknight, but that's everyone you mention. Pollutrix is also there. Unless it's Simon you forgot.
On second thought, it probably is Simon. Because I assume you would've mentioned that he's a demon.

Pollutrix is the young man. Too stinky to be a girl.
Yeah, I forgot Simon. Sorry, Sijo xD
Wooze looks at Glass with a 'please take her away' lookHey everyone, don't forget where the Reference Guide is (its on page 36.) Just in case, I added a link to it right on the first post of the Signup Thread.
I think I should just quit now.
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.Well that's your choice, Vampire. I thought your ideas were interesting. If you do quit, then thanks for playing, and you're welcome back any time.
No....no I'm not.......
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste. Nice to meet you, hope you can guess my name.If you really no longer feel welcome here, then goodbye. If you ever want to come back, you can.
Welp, don't wanna start a fight over something we can't exactly control. Laters.
See you around, I suppose.
Concept: A brief overview of American superhero teams
A few ideas I've had; they're not in character signups because most of them are just loose outlines. If anyone wants to come up with or help come up with full team rosters or new teams entirely, feel free to do so.
The Century Squadron
Founded on New Year's Eve, 1899, the Century Squadron was supposed to serve as the protectors of the world throughout the twentieth century. They disbanded in 1914, so that didn't work out so well.
Glory Guard (first incarnation)
The very end of 1940 saw the foundation of one of the first teams of superheroes: the Glory Guard. Various incarnations have existed on and off throughout the twentieth century. The Glory Guard mostly stayed out of World War II, focusing on protecting America, but they did get involved here and there. They disbanded in 1951, due to infighting and conflict with the government.
The Skylark Squadron
In 1941, with World War II growing more intense, a group of female pilots (from Czechoslovakia, Poland, France, India, Germany, and the Soviet Union), overlooked by their male peers, formed the Skylark Squadron. They fought a lot of Nazi mad scientists. While they stuck around for a while after the war ended, they ultimately parted ways in 1956.
The Allied Brigade
In 1941, the Allies formed their own team of superheroes specifically formed to fight the various superhumans working for the Axis. They had members from various Allied nations, many of whom had extremely patriotic costumes and codenames. Despite inter-team friction, largely related to national rivalries, they lasted until the end of the war.
The Glory Guard (second incarnation)
In 1960, seven superheroes came together to foil an alien invasion, creating the foundation for a new incarnation of the Glory Guard. This incarnation lasted until 1968, when internal friction led half the team to quit.
The Arcanum Majorum
A group of magic-themed superheroes based in Greenwich Village, active from 1963 to 1974. They were big on mysticism, psychedelia, and various mind-altering drugs. Members included Reverend Arcane (wizard and possibly a cult leader?), Firebird (pyrokinetic Russian defector), Flower Child (think stoner Poison Ivy), the Human Contradiction (shapeshifter), and Auramancer (psychic, very touchy-feely). Witch Hazel was also a member, and she doesn't like to talk about it due to loathing her former teammates.
The Young Firebrands
In 1964, a group of adolescent metahumans banded together to rebel against authority and protect themselves from what they saw as oppression from the establishment.
Maximum Force
In 1992, Ekho Industries sponsored their own superhero team. Maximum Force was more well-known for its merchandising and status as tabloid fodder than for doing any actual superheroics (not to say they didn't do that, but most of them were in it for the fame). They ultimately disbanded after roughly 90 percent of the team quit due to contract disputes.

A bit late with this but I've kind of been busy recently. Also slightly silly but that's kind of the point.
Character Update: Corvid
Description: Since fighting the giant robots and Dark Witch, Corvid's been attempting to improve his superheroics; he's researched the various heroes and villains found around Easton and become aware of the more public figures. He's also softened a bit and been making ((NPC) friends and contacts around Easton, which led to a brief but ill-advised relationship with Percussion. While this did have the unfortunate effect of attracting media attention, he did manage to get an Ekho-tech upgrade out of it.
Powers
- Machine Corvidae: A large black motorbike, considerably bulkier than any normal bike. The front is shaped like a raven's head (with lights in the eyes), while wings decorate the side. It's equipped with enough armour to resist super-attacks and is powerful and rugged enough to ride on any terrain. Additionally, it has an autopilot that can bring it to him if it's far away.
- Armour mode: The bike can transform into an additional layer of armour for Corvid (named Corvid Predator by Percussion, although even Isaac considers that excessively edgy). The armour layers on top of his existing costume, making it incredibly bulky and adding some silver features to the black and grey. It also adds extra talons to the right arm which can be fired as projectiles on a retractable wire. However, the extra protection comes at the cost of weight so he can only jump and glide rather than properly fly.
@Emily: some of those concepts sound a bit familiar. Of course it might just be simply because in over 70 years of comic books nearly everything has been tried. In any case, as long as they are not blatant rip-offs I'll accept them. Meanwhile I'll link to your post as "American Superhero History" (unless of course, someone wants to comment first. Speak now or forever hold your peace.)
@Ferrous: Those additions seem reasonable (and cool.) Add them to your character sheet please.
"A bit familiar but not blatant rip-offs" is more or less what I was going for.
Well, it seems the Halloween Plot is wrapping up already- and all Hallow's Eve isn't even over yet! There's still the Haunted Art Gallery museum to deal with, though, if anyone wants to help with that. If not, many innocent people might die inside that painting...

Oh come on, a few of them might live once the paintings figure out what food is!
Assuming they think humans shouldn't be food...
Have the paintings torment The Black Flamingo patrons.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”They need to get there first.
Very true!
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Just to be clear, The Easton Art Gallery and the Easton Museum are NOT the same place.
Btw Emily, did Dynamo Lass shoot off that Plasma blast? I cannot tell if she did.
Oh and Happy Halloween everyone!

She did. They're at the gallery, right?
Sorry, I'll change that. Mongrel is at the Art Gallery then.
Sorry I've not been present for the last week — I just started a full-time job, 12-hour shift and all that. Now that I think I've got my sleeping schedule in some sort of order, I'll attempt to jump back into it. I'm thankful at least that nothing's happened at the Flamingo since then
I wasn't in your scan. I feel neglected now :(
(JK, I don't actually care all that much)
