Voltfin I regularly find along the river leading to Zora’s Domain, Stealthfin only appear in the lake surrounding the Great Hyrule Forest. I like to nab the latter with Shock Arrow fishing.

My OCD gets annoyed that acorns do not count in the Compendium.
-Witty line-Stealthfin only live in the river west of Korok forest
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThere are some stealthfin in the Lost Woods/Korok Forest itself. The one shrine where you use magnesis to find your way has a small lake, and I've found stealthfin there.
It annoys me that you don't find voltfin in the Faron region or Hyrule Ridge. Isn't Hyrule Ridge supposed to be the source of the stone used to make thunderblades?
Stealtfin trout also glow in the dark so they're pretty easy to spot at night once you know where to find them
Heart of StoneYeah, when I was working on upgrading my Sheikah Suit I waited for night, ran west along the southern shore of the lake (opposite the Forest) wearing that same stealth gear and with my Sensor going, and when I spotted a stealthfin I'd glide out and dive-bomb it. Swim back out and repeat.

I played through Vah Ruta on a new file again. I forgot how much I enjoy Sidon. He’s just such a fun character.
This calls for a top-teir expression of gratitude to the Zelda team. Zo! Zo! Ra ra ra! Thank you for everyone’s favorite fish-man!
Also... Are the Zora mermaids? They’re humanoid fish...
“Always expect the worst. That way you can never be disappointed.” - John FlanaganProbably, depending on your definition of a mermaid. There's a more traditional looking mermaid in Link's Awakening but I dunno if that counts since that game takes place in a dream world.
Japan has its own take on fish-people living under the sea, being more humanoid fish, rather than the half-and-half western mermaids. I imagine that the Zora take more inspiration from that angle.

I like how the other nations have some challenge for Link to prove his status before fighting the Divine Beasts, and the Goron's are just "Oh hey, you want in? Cool."

-Witty line-x4 and x5,
Aside from Link's Awakening, we haven't seen a live mermaid, but we've seen Mermaid Suits, which suggest that Mermaids are perceived as being distinct from Zoras.

Zora: Try on this shirt and get the arrows you need yourself. Rito: Can you hit these targets? Good, have some arrows. Gerudo: Get back the Thunder Helm, kill Master Kohga, and get some bomb arrows. Good luck. Gorons: Rescue my apprentice! I need my medicine!
“Always expect the worst. That way you can never be disappointed.” - John FlanaganAlso amusing how the lead up to Rudania has nothing to do with arrows. You would think that ice arrows would be a factor in the fight, but nope.
-Witty line-Two of the Divine Beasts required bomb arrows, and, to the best of my recollection, neither ice nor fire arrows are ever needed for the main questline.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I got the outfit to sneak into Gerudo Town, then bought the same outfit again. I can't explain why.
You must not have talked to the clothes vendor then
Everything I do in this game is pure impulse and poor money management.
Edit: Talking to folks around the town and I am pretty certain a few of them are on to me.
E Dit: Greta pegged me from the start, and I bought the Radiant set. I already got the voe set from Rhondson after checking up on Tarrey Town and updating that quest.

The Gerudo seem to have a sixth sense for men or something.... no matter how far from them you are, even if they can’t see you, they will sound the alarm as soon as you so much as change your hat.
Makes you wonder how the Gerudo outfit works at all... if they can sense men...
But they still let Gorons in....
I’m confused how this all works.
“Always expect the worst. That way you can never be disappointed.” - John FlanaganYeah, I was disappointed when I saw you could be detected as a man even if you're in nobody's vision cone (I tested changing in an enclosed, empty room).
Edit: Since I finished the game again (again far from 100%, though I'm pretty disappointed to see there's like 15 sidequests I haven't even discovered), I moved on to play A Short Hike... which just like BOTW, involves a lot of exploration, stamina-based climbing, and gliding.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I haven't gotten to the Gerudo section yet, but maybe they ban men because of what Ganondorf did to their name? And Gorons are exempt because Ganondorf wasn't a Goron?
-Witty line-Ganondorf also wasn't Hylian, or Zora either, but the rule still seems to apply there. My guess is that Goron don't particularly do genders.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThere's probably not really much the Gerudo guards could do to forcibly remove a Goron anyway.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805It’d be bad business to turn away an all-male race for gender reasons and besides, I feel like they’re asexual anyways.
It's been 3000 years…
I have never found a single stealthfin or voltfin trout. Not one. I rely entirely on shops and octoroks for those.
