Insomniac's Spider-Man

WOOT! This is my most anticipated game of the year! Can't wait!!

The DLC costumes seem to be based on Spider-Verse, least the two we've seen.

Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Man with a guitar that does AOE attacks.

Aerosmith Spider-Man?

No, it's Punk rock Spider-Man, who is an alternate universe Hobbie Brown.

Anyway, cool to know the costumes aren't just cosmetic.

Apparently MJ is playable according to the rapid fire. Spinneret costume maybe?

Don't think that's what they meant in that instance. Though i wouldn't mind a Spinneret costume, provided it also changes the voice.

I wonder if we'll see MJ with a gun like she's uses a couple times in the comics?

...Also the shipper in me is more invested than I should be in whether or not Peter and MJ are gonna end up back together by the end of the game. I mean, hey, if this is meant to be an older, more experienced Spider-Man, it'd make perfect sense for him to get married in this universe.

Adaptations have been kind of touch and go with continuing the MJ / Spidey relationship after the comics have abandoned it, mostly because adaptors tend to go for things like that which are most "iconic," and Marvel isn't scouring MJ from people's minds anytime soon. It's one of the few instances where that sort of usage of older ideas that are iconic even though the comics have long since moved past them is more of a good idea. Usually it just leads to awful, like all the times it happens in DC things.

MJ continuing to the primary female lead who's close to Peter even though she's technically not the love interest is a fun loophole I've noticed happen here or there (it beats Homecoming's "give a new character the same nickname as an in-joke then explicitly make it clear that they're in no way the same character" thing, anyway). The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon did that.

The DLC stuff does mention new characters on top of the costumes. I wonder what means.

One of the dlc stories involve Black Cat. No idea if she's playable.

I always had to skip the Insomniac logo at the beginning. The poor eyeball :(

Also I don't remember ever beating Monster-Ock but apparently I have the ending cutscene anyway somehow.

EDIT: Wow, I thought they were remaking the original 2 games and not making a new one. XD;

x5 Apparently Insomniac's said Peter and MJ haven't spoken in six months at the start of the game. But if they start the game out on bad terms, it's not crazy to think they might be back together by the game's finale. Plus she already knows he's Spider-Man in this version, so MJ's got that going for her, too.

Man, these regular old mooks are totally boned against Spidey.

I hope we get some good supervillain-types to fight against, rather than just the usual "mook + armored mook + sniping mook" combo. It'd be cool if, say, some non-plot-important-but-still-cool supervillains could attack the city as side-missions or emergent missions with a gang of mooks. like a kind of named Elite Mook or recurring miniboss. A nice way to add content.

Defenitely like the style and movement, but I will agree some variation in terms of enemy tactics will bee needed. How bad would said need be depends on how this game is paced.

I just want some good Spider-Man 2 style web swinging. Going all over Manhattan and then beating up the bad guys.

The Iron Spider armor from Avengers: Infinity War will be showing up as an alternate costume.
